My friend got me into Monster Hunter this year in February. Just a few months ago I got to Fatalis and was stuck on him for days. Super rewarding being able to do it solo for my first kill, as that is a rule I apply to all monsters. Loving the content, keep it up!
I loved the guide! What I really like about Fatalis is that its moves are very well telegraphed, and the more you play the more you figure out how to dodge them.
I've just reached MR 100 and I'm beginning with all the events that I've unlocked, then I'll go for Alatreon and Fatalis, and this guide will be super useful! Also, great opportunity for the giveaway, thanks for all of your efforts! 🙏❤
This video made me feel like I’ve been doing something wrong this whole time lol, thank you so much for showing me that beginning strat that was the most informative and clear thing I’ve ever heard from a tips video and I’m very glad I watched this video, you got a new subscriber and I haven’t bought wilds on pc yet but maybe I can get a copy from a giveaway who knows, anyways I appreciate the effort and passion you put into this video❤ it will help me a lot
I'm really happy to hear that, it took me a while writing out this script - I wanted to make things super clear without treating people like like idiots which I hope I achieved :D
This is gonna be really useful since last time I fought him was like last year and I am doing a new save file rn with the insect glaive (It just entered master rank) and I needed a refresher to the boss who destroyed me throughly inside and out 💀 Gl to everyone
I started Monster Hunter World a few weeks ago as my first MH IP and its the most fun I've had in years. I can't wait to experience starting a game like Wilds with everybody.
It's always fun finding an sos with what may be new hunters to Fatalis and chompin ten thousand mushrooms to keep them all alive as best as I can hahaha
I've just booted up the game last week trying to get back into the swing of things before wilds drops, I've always had that lingering feeling you're talking about, about not beating him. You've inspired me. I'm going to give it a real shot.
This tutorial is pretty good, covering the safe spots for his most dangerous attacks. While I have defeated Fatty, I hope this video inspires other hunters to finally beat Fatalis
I started my playthrough of worldborne 2 weeks ago! and happy to have beaten Fatalis too! It took me a whole day to grind it, but it was worth it! I main hammer btw. Unga Bunga for life!
Thank you for the guide! I'm trying to 100% MHW until wilds comes out and after that Fatalis will be the last hurdle to complete the game for me. Will def come back to this vid
I recently picked World back up and beat Alatreon, I am trying Fatalis now, I am a bow user but this guide still has a lot of useful information in it, thanks for making it
It has Fatalis Destroyers like myself that will gladly join SOS for Special Assignment version to help players get the win. Now is the best time to challenge him before we move on to Wilds. All we ask is that you attack an stay alive.
I made a video helping people on Alatreon/Fatalis earlier this year and yeah it can be tricky for sure, so long as the other player is learning I dont mind them carting :)
I am about to enter Fatalis soon, I am right before Alatreon and my build looks very similar. So right on time for the guide, I am bracing for the impact that first time Fatalis would be. Also, nice accent. :)
Hest congratulations you have won the PC copy of Monster Hunter Wilds! I already have your discord as you've been an active member of the community so I'll contact you now!
I have been able to activate the dragonator and go through 2 of the "big" flames in the final phase for most of my recent runs but would always run out of time, some of the tips here, specially the cannons in phase 1 and the ballista in phase 2 helped save the time I needed to finish Fatalis.
You can roll the roar by watching the purple rings as soon as you see them expand out you roll and you can grab the binder shot then bind fatty as he turns to you all in one go.
Absolutely! I recomended the smokebomb trick just as its easier/more consistent to pull off, missing that roll when fatty is in blue flame mode can be slightly problematic to say the least haha
Nice, make sure to take your time before Alatreon/Fatalis - The game makes it seems like you should do them pretty early on and can make it even more difficult!
Fatalis is such a good monster, his lore and ecology is really interesting and mysterious. Really like this monster, hope we get white and crimson fatalis in wilds

A few weeks ago I started a new file with a friend, we just finished Iceborne and now we're going to start the endless farm to, hopefully, beat Fatalis before Wilds. Definetly going to use some of the tips of the video.
I haven't beaten him yet but im steadily making strides. First few runs I almost always die twice on Phase 1, now I can push him to phase 2 without dying in Phase 1
This video is insanely good, usually most videos I watched about how to beat him doesn’t include stuff like the smokebomb stuff, btw which gadget should I use for him? Also good luck to everyone who tryna win
Sheesh man. I picked up MH:rise and sunbreak recently and have damn near beat it. Primordial Malzeno is my current black. this is making me what to replay world before wilds comes out lmao. I never did beat alatreon or fatalis ofc.
Primordial is a beast, to this day I struggle with him more than fatalis funnily enough (but i suppose i have a lot more practice with fatty haha). Definitely come back and wrap it up for good, we still have a few months to kill in the mean time in any case :)
I got really into the series with world in 2018 but never got enough money to buy Iceborne until early this year and recently tried to solo Fatalis so… yeah I’m getting my ass carted every time
@ZennyHunter gotta try an take down Aletrean first tho stuck on him ATM, then I'll tackle Fatalis just those guys left and I will have beaten every monster in MHWI! So sad I just discovered this game last year lol.
When i first fought fatalis i thought that there is no way to beat that thing. Fast forward to today i have hunted him with every weapon type at least once and he has to be one of my favorite fights in the game, and as such i wanna give some tips that might help out people who are struggling with the fight. 1. Always try to stay as close to fatalis as you can. Yes it might be scary but its far less scary than getting one shot by a ranged fireball or getting caught in the cone on the other side of the map. He is in general far more dangerous from afar than upclose. 2. Watch other people fight him with your weapon type and see what openings to go for 3. If playing a weapon that has a hard time hitting the head it might be better to just ignore the headbreak and go for chest dps (for ranged players don't even try to go for the head, the hitzone is so ass you will be missing out on 80% of the damage you can deal. Go for the chest and be hyper aware of fatalis's attacks). Yes you will have to deal with blue flame, and that might be scary af. But after some time you will get used to his moves and be able to dodge most if not all of them. That being said though, if you can snipe the head consistently in the middle of his attacks, do so. It might lead to a headbreak and you wont have to deal with blue flame. 4. Dragon pods saved my ass too many times to count. Use them. 5. While bringing attack and defensive skills for the first time is a valid and recommended strat, i myself like to bring a few quality of life skills with me such as: Quick sheathe - for obvious reasons. Free meal - Again, obvious reasons. Having a chance to eat a max potion without using it up is just phenomenal. Evade window and evade extender - Prioritize evade window as it gives you more i-frames when rolling while evade extender makes you roll a greater distance. Both are great skills and you might wanna go for one or the other depending on your weapon. I run evade window lvl 4 (out of 5) and extender lvl 3 (max lvl) Speed eating - actually makes mega potions useful in cases where you don't wanna waste a max potion but have to heal. Slinger capacity lvl 2 - You have more slinger ammo in you hand, both from the ground and the monster. Great for wallbanging since after a wallbang you will still have some ammo left over. Meaning if fatalis is on 2 legs you can wallbang him once to get down and then a second time to go into the wall. He will not enrage on the first bang since he gives you a window for a second wallbang Clutch claw boost - A MUST HAVE FOR LIGHT WEAPONS. Tenderize in one attack instead of 2 and have a way higher chance to drop slinger ammo, which works great with the last skill. Melding the shawer jewel is quite expensive but it is 100% worth it and i would recommend it any day of the week. Pick and choose whichever you like the most, but clutch claw boost is def a must for light weapons 6. Don't get mad. Yes the fight is hard. Yes a bunch of hitboxes are bullshit, but going in with a clear head is far more beneficial than being pissed off. That's all i could get on top of my head, if anyone has more specific questions feel free to ask. Have fun
funny timing with this vid. I beat fatty last year, getting carried by my veteran friend. Hated the fight, lots of carting, one-shots, the works. Farmed enough through cheesing the fight to get my armor and weapons and for a long time, that single win was my only one. These days, I thought to myself, that in the beginning, I felt the same way about Alatreon, that the fight was bs, but now I honestly find it really fun, and join in to help others with it all the time. And so I decided I was going to try and get good enough at fatalis to see if I found it fun or not. Progress is slow, but it is progress nonetheless. Did a few runs the other day with a MR999 friend and didn't triple cart once, and I believe did enough to not be considered dead weight this time around (also still haven't finished getting my 100%, lmao, missing just one achievement tho, and again, although slowly, making my way to it.)
Just got back from college a week ago and I finally beat Alatreon yesterday, tried Fatalis for the fun of it and got absolutely destroyed Guess I need to prep more lol
Just somethings to add, I recommend using the Mega demon drink and mega iron skin And they're much easier to farm then u think since u can use Jagras parts to *meld* for it Also imo Vigorwasp spray is the best for the fight, since it saves time on healing This boss will def take a lot of time so don't be discouraged/Get mad, once u learn how it attacks it will be much easier Btw ngl I didn't know smoke bombs could be so helpful in the fight
Wilds demo made me return to World, tho I didn't play far before. Only just done with Shara fight and quit soon after. Some friends who new to the World also just started after trying Wilds demo so just in time to come back. We managed to reach Fatalis recently with me being the doctor of the group running around doing nothing but healing because we keep on dying lmao. Took us dozens of tries but finally managed to beat it once. Don't know how Wilds gonna be since it didn't run smoothly on my pc, but if I get it here, maybe I will try Insect Glaive or become a doctor for the group again bahaha.
@@ZennyHunter Ohh really? Didn't hear about that before. Would love a chance to try again. And yeah, also to see if its properly optimized or my pc is just too old now bahaha
Man, I've spent 300h in MHW on xbox but a a friend bought me it on steam so i had to start all over again, I've neaver beat fatalis so it would be epic to do from 20h PC version to all out fatalis i'd love to get wilds since I live in poland and my valute is kinda low in value so its hella expensive. I also have MHR on pc and i liked it but MHW is the game I first played from MH series and I deeply fell in love with it. I started playing monster hunter only because my friends told me you can carve animals 💀
I really don't recommend the Cannon Opener unless you're just trying to finish the intro to unlock the multiplayer version of the hunt. The Siege Damage topple you get is better utilized in phase 2 or 3, when Fatalis is scarier. Definitely don't waste the binder at the start of phase 2, you can get Fatalis to land with a smoke bomb and you want the binders for phase 3 when Fatalis is at his most dangerous. If you're dying a lot in phase 3, try to take more time in phase 1 getting damage on the head. There is no shame in running SOS Flares or grouping up with friends, this game (especially this fight) is intended for a full squad of hunters.
I personally think so yeah, safi set only realy shines with the set bonus but its a double edged sword with that being said. 5 alatreon is just safe and gives you a bunch of stable skills
I think it's better to down fatalis in the start of phase 2 using roaming ballista and/or ballistas using smoke and heavy artillery 2 temporal mantle instead of cannon opening in phase 1, because fatalis is easier in phase 1 than phase 2 and easier to bait cone when he's standing thus easier to damage the head also freeing a mantle space for evasion mantle with 2 peak performance since you have heat guard and maybe replace fire res jewel for it to be peak performance 3 since it think fire res doesn't do much against fatalis' attacks or rocksteady and other deco slots. Make sure to enrage before knockdown for agitator. Doing cannon opening speeds up going to phase 2 while doing more damage to body than head I think. And isn't it better to save the 2 binders for phase 3 where fatalis is faster and has new moves. You can survive the map wide breath attack in phase 3 if you have full health and health boost 2 or 3 then spam superman dive. When you get hit with the final attack and survive, whatever mantle you're wearing will lose it's effects doesn't matter if you just put it on before getting hit so keep that in mind.
Okaaaay... You can deal more damage on the opening using bombs, not every weapon drops pods on tenderize, so you can pick stones upon landing into the arena and don't waste Rocksteady like that, at least if you're okaying one of the weapons that like it a lot like GS or lance Cone bating is THE first thing most struggling players should learn, but only most, since lance for example foesn't benefit from it much (GS on the other hand foes BRRRRR) And for the rest... well there's not much else in the vid really, but tbf it is all correct
If you find yourself running out of time instead of carting too much try some more aggressive decorations like attack instead of health for example - might be worth a shot!

While i never bested him CB, i did solo him eventually with SA spamming. Was it cheesy? Yeah probably Will i go back to do it again? Probably also x)
I hope I win 😊
Good luck :D
im feeling wild
Wilds demo made me return to World, tho I didn't play far before. Only just done with Shara fight and quit soon after. Some friends who new to the World also just started after trying Wilds demo so just in time to come back. We managed to reach Fatalis recently with me being the doctor of the group running around doing nothing but healing because we keep on dying lmao. Took us dozens of tries but finally managed to beat it once. Don't know how Wilds gonna be since it didn't run smoothly on my pc, but if I get it here, maybe I will try Insect Glaive or become a doctor for the group again bahaha.
Love that, I'm guessing we'll get another beta/demo before launch which should be much better optimized by now!
@@ZennyHunter Ohh really? Didn't hear about that before. Would love a chance to try again. And yeah, also to see if its properly optimized or my pc is just too old now bahaha
hey majn, i appreciate your help, been stuck on it for around a week and finally got it past first phase, thank you for the advice
Love to hear it, you've got this man keep pushing!
Fatalis is the most fair monster game
Man, I've spent 300h in MHW on xbox but a a friend bought me it on steam so i had to start all over again, I've neaver beat fatalis so it would be epic to do from 20h PC version to all out fatalis i'd love to get wilds since I live in poland and my valute is kinda low in value so its hella expensive. I also have MHR on pc and i liked it but MHW is the game I first played from MH series and I deeply fell in love with it. I started playing monster hunter only because my friends told me you can carve animals 💀
Nice man! Yeah definitely try and take him down, its a super satisfying feeling once you get there!
Good guide!
Thanks!
There is no shame in running SOS Flares or grouping up with friends, this game (especially this fight) is intended for a full squad of hunters.
lets get it
very usefull guide
Glad it was helpful!
im on time lets goo
So would a full Alatreon set be better than 2 peice Safi and 3 Alatreon?
I personally think so yeah, safi set only realy shines with the set bonus but its a double edged sword with that being said. 5 alatreon is just safe and gives you a bunch of stable skills
@ZennyHunter Ok I will give it a shot
It's OK if i try to win the game to make it a present for a friend? 👉👈
Yes of course, you can do whatever you like with your prize :)
very helpful guide and it is kind of you to gift a copy 🙏
Glad it was helpful! I hope to do another giveaway in the new year as well :)
When you get hit with the final attack and survive, whatever mantle you're wearing will lose it's effects doesn't matter if you just put it on before getting hit so keep that in mind.
lets see if i can win so i can try my first monster hunter 👀
nice guide bro
🥺🥺so many people here
I hope to do another giveaway in the new year, whatever money i make from youtube will go straight back into it!
Whutt cone bait exist? I should try this before reaching MR999 and another 3 more weapons types fatalis kill
Maybe we will get something bigger in Wilds
That would be so fun as an endgame challenge, we may need to wait for a future expansion for this though
@ZennyHunter The snake
hope i can get lucky
Fingers crossed!
poggers lets see if i can win
Good luck!
I’m trying to get my brother into the game
Okaaaay...
You can deal more damage on the opening using bombs, not every weapon drops pods on tenderize, so you can pick stones upon landing into the arena and don't waste Rocksteady like that, at least if you're okaying one of the weapons that like it a lot like GS or lance
Cone bating is THE first thing most struggling players should learn, but only most, since lance for example foesn't benefit from it much (GS on the other hand foes BRRRRR)
And for the rest... well there's not much else in the vid really, but tbf it is all correct
Yippee
Im working my way up to beat Fatalis. I just "beat" Velkhana in the elders recess, it took me a while
Make sure to take your time on the journey to him, most people try and jump in ASAP which makes him 10x harder!
Thank you for the guide, especially regarding how to actually use smoke bombs I've always wanted to solo fatalis 🥲
I want to solo him before wilds, ive gotten so close but always run out of time 🥲
If you find yourself running out of time instead of carting too much try some more aggressive decorations like attack instead of health for example - might be worth a shot!
@ Thank you, think i need to use the cannons and ballistae more i have maxed dragon ele and max atk boost on my fatalis switchaxe
