Great video, my man. I'm guessing you're West Coast. I'm in NJ and debating whether I can go without concrete to set the post.

Yeah, West Coast for me. I know a lot of times people install posts with some form of drainage rock base followed by concrete to set them. Just really depends on how long you want to setup to last and how easy you want to be able to remove them if needed/wanted.

Great video, thanks for sharing! How is it holding up after 1 year? Everything I've read elsewhere says that a slackline create too much force to use wood poles, but I'm keen to make it work since this looks so much better than any of the a-frame setups.

So far the setup is holding up well. I don’t do any really dynamic moves on it so that may factor into using metal poles vs wooden. But for me the wooden poles have been a good fit.

Can it be left up permanently? I’m thinking about doing this in my yard. My yard is large and can put this out of the way. I’d hate to go through all that trouble to have to take it down.

I’m not too sure about leaving it setup indefinitely. The sun would eventually ruin it where I live. But ultimately it’s up to you. I’m sure it will last awhile before you have any issues with it. Take care.

Nice job, good depth, and nice thick circular posts. How is it working for you? I just poured some 6ft 4x4 posts 3ft down, but am planning to reinforce it with another 4x4 post braced at 45° against the upright post.

Cross bracing is a good idea.
Mine have been working out well. No issues with them at all.
