Sunny's mother and father mystery were probably the things I was the most interested in the G5 universe, it's so sad to never see the outcome of, could have been such an emotional arc for the character, a little like how "A perfect pair" was to Applejack in G4, but even better. Farewell G5, can't say I loved you, but I had hopes for your future.
I have faith that she is still alive, but she went so far and faced such great dangers that she cannot return yet. But perhaps it is best that she does not return soon, for when she does, she will see with great pain in her heart that the love of her life, Argyle, died without seeing the culmination of her research and that at last the three races of ponies believed in friendship again.

This gives me Applebloom "Dream of you" vibes, except it's in reverse ("I wish you the best in life" vs "I wish I knew you in life"). G5 had so much potential that it didn't tap into and it's a shame that it's cancelled for real now, but at least that gives fans a lot to work with. Also like, Sunny's Mom literally remains unnamed and appears for 5 minutes in the whole series. Which is why I didn't really like the format they took (animated shorts) since it feels less fulfilling or sincere for things that are important to the story or characters, so much more could have been done to keep the show alive. Hopefully G6 (if we get one) will have a better production cycle.

Granny Figgy is a grandmother technically a great grandmother but Argyle would probably be middle aged if he was still alive so Sunny's mom was probably the only pony who understands him then losing the love of your life the only pony who supported you no matter what is just tragic. Poor Argyle. #2 If Sunny's mom was alive she would meet Sunny again it would be like this Stella: "Sunny?" Sunny: "Mom?" Both: "You're here I miss you." Sunny: "I'm an Alicorn who saved magic." I really wish we dove more into the back stories of Sunny's parents and what happened to her Mom. Her Dad must've passed away due to natural causes.
