Your videos are a real joy to watch, you all have a talent for bringing such warmth into our lives. Never underestimate the effect that you have on so many people's lives. I'm glad that you have settled back into boat life and have found a place that you like. I look forward to a coffee one day if I am passing.
Yes. They’re are an extremely likeable couple. Both of them. That’s quite rare these days and especially on TH-cam. Usually one is irritating or too much. But they are SO well suited and have such lovely natures 🥰💕
Loving the sunshine! William is such a sweetheart! Thanks for the giggles. His grasp of language is brilliant! Love watching you bake! That tart looks amazing.
How wonderful it is to just sit and watch your heart warming videos. You are a real time waster, but what a wonderful way to waste time. I, like many others, I'm sure, just love watching your family life, especially little William, he is adorable! Thankyou for the pleasure you are giving me. As the person writing below me, you heal my soul. And bring a great smile to my face. Thankyou, lots of love xxx
I am so impressed with William's English. He speaks so well and in the right tense. He is a smart little boy. I love the rhythm of his speech. Wish I was in the UK to taste your cakes. Jane, Philadelphia
The Mindful Narrow Boat gave you a shout-out as she passed by you a couple of episodes ago. I recognize your new mooring from her view. Nice to see the boats cross paths.
I'm amazed Jo can make frangipane after 9 at night! And it looked fab! Lovely to see all your boatyard duties, and the lovely skies over White Nancy. Great to see your videos again! William is growing up so quickly, hope he enjoys growing up on a narrow boat with all the joys of simple pleasures❤.
Oh, that frangipani tart looks scrumptious. I just baked your fabulous lemon drizzle loaf recipe today, which is delicious. I serve it with whipped cream and sweet, sliced fresh strawberries. William is getting so big; he is such a cutie, and what a vocabulary. Congratulations on reaching White Nancy; what a view.
Lovely. A video of positivity, family love and appreciation, atmosphere and gorgeous views portraying a family that works together and stays together. Love what the 3 of you do for inspiration. ❤
Hello, you pop up in the strangest of places. Last Thursday I was having my triweekly dialysis session when the TV above my dialysis bed was showing a canal boat with cakes, suddenly you and the lad appear. No sound unfortunately and I had just lost battery on my tablet at the end of my 4 hour session. Found it back home on Channel 4 catch up, seen only programme 1 so I shall keep the rest until perhaps this Saturdays session so I nan find something else to enjoy passing the 4 hour dialysis. The cakes look great, especially the Guiness cake!. Reminds me of a lad I worked with. His girl friend had died his black hair very blonde, and he came into work dressed in black tee shirt & trousers. For months he was known as Guiness.
Vic, Jo and William, as soon as I turn on your next vid it brings a smile to my face, you just ooze wonderfulness. You are all so caring and manage your boating life so well. I really admire your achievements. When I’m up your way later in the year a visit to sample your wonderful cakes Jo is definitely on the cards and your coffee too Vic, of course. Take care and lovely to see you again enjoying life on the water. Helen & Barney 😀🐕🦺
Thanks for the update. Its always encouraging seeing peoples pathways through life. The permanent location for Holly and having a base must allow you to build on your circle of friends and feeling of community. What a great outcome. All the best
Why do I feel that that rental boat will be ultra-clean and fresh! It is so thrilling to see William loving exploring the world. It's oddly reassuring. He's so lucky with his parents. Honestly, this channel is like having well-regarded friends pay a visit to my home.. Much love to you all. That blackberry confection looks addictive!
It is great to see the community spirit between you and the boatyard William will be a great leader bringing people back to and living with nature. Ye are great parents.
Love watching your vids, it is inspiring me to sell my flat and live on a canal boat. I am a very young 70 yr old lady and so a little apprehensive, but watching you two and your positive confident attitude is so encouraging. You are beautiful people and a joy to watch. I would love to find you one day for some cake!!
Hi guys, it’s good to have you spike. I really enjoy your videos and I’ve missed watching them. I hope you are all keeping well. I love you both. Keep up the good work.❤
My personal observation is that you seem very happy back on Zero with your family. Great to see you and Jo working together and raising William who is growing and learning so quickly!!
Victor now in his element - messing about with boats😄Joanna, you should have your cook book or tea towels for sale again, impulse buys and all that. Best wishes to you both and your lovely Boy.
It’s a really steep climb up to White Nancy, I always find that I bump into someone, just as I’m coughing a lung up.. Love your White Nancy description ‘Ice gem’ not quite what the locals call it, but I prefer yours. Cheers Al and Kate, Higher Poynton.
Jo...you kept saying you weren't good at pastry. Have to tell you that my Mom used to make the flakiest and tastiest crusts!! So after I got married I asked for the recipe which she provided. I made a pumpkin pie from fresh pumpkins and wondered why I had so much pumpkin mixture left over after I put the pie in the oven. Pie looked wonderful and tasted great but noticed the crust looked thick. She called the next day to see how my crust turned out...well that's when I found the recipe was for 2 pie crusts and I had shoved it all into one pie plate...only made that mistake once but we had a good laugh!!
Love you videos, I resemble more to them, with walking along Bollington canal which I love, now the nicer weather here al be visiting soon, I love you cook book as well, William is such a lovely jolly boy, one lovely family ❤
Another groovy episode. Perfectly shot and edited. Fantastic color quality; almost looking 3D at times. The Queen of Baking. Your beautiful, tasty looking pies and cakes drive me crazy. Running all the way up to White Lady and then doing 59 push ups. WOW! I sort of ran from our bedroom this afternoon to the kitchen for a cup of yummy coffee. I did however, walk back to the bedroom. LOL! William is fast growing up with a lovely laugh and a beautiful personality. He will no doubt grow up as groovy as you two.
I continue to enjoy your weekly videos of life on the cut. I'm familiar with the area you are in as we kept our boat near there for 6 years. Wonderful times. Thank you!
I love watching William grow up! Such a sweet little man! I'm sure he has his moments but still a beautiful little guy! You both look happy on video I hope that you really are and it's not just all an act. Life is to short to live it for someone else, if you follow my meaning! Great to see you all!
I live all the way over the ocean in australia. We dont have anything like this, the rich history of the canals. I’d give anything to join my English ancestors from the west country and later towards the 1800s in London, Middlesex regions, and Little Chelsea. Really enjoyed a glimpse into your lives here. Thank you.
As the father of a 4 year old, listening to William speak is just so heart-warming and emotional. Reminds me of Olivija when she was a bit younger. He is such a joyous kid! I have quite a bit of catching up to do on your channel (about 4 months worth!), so looking forward to binging this weekend! :)
I do love when kids get to that point of having a good time that they are helpless with laughter. It was great watching William. He is at work a really special age. Good luck.
Oh man you’re all so lovely, a great watch 🥰 Now please don’t be offended but you say you’re not so good at pastry so here’s a tip although I don’t know what facilities you have on the boat but if you make the pastry and freeze it in batches or at least the day before you need it it’s much easier to handle, it works cos I’ve been making pastry ( for my family) for about 60 years, I wish you all the luck in the world x Jean H

I love your quirky sense of humor, Vic. I come from the land of smart alecks. William is so cute! AND Jo’s baking would make me gain 10 lbs, it all looks so delicious. I am debating on purchasing a cookbook. At least a mug.
I must say watching that wee lad grow up on the canals is one of the primary reasons I am here. And the food lust. Yes, I admit I have a bad case of food lust...especially blackberry tarts, big guns and all!
YEAH so glad i found you on YT watching you on 'narrow escapes'🤣 great teen memories on a narrow boat holiday .. you are living the dream! beautiful family 💗
Im just sitting here watching and thinking, William will either love or hate the canal when hes older. I think he will love it and stay on the canal. Its hilarious, when William giggles so do I. Great little family vidéo. Glad you have a great mooring at the boat yard 🎉. Pastry tarts will be going on the Holly Café menu, soon, too. And very pleased you're back to a weekly film. Thank you.
Well done Vic! I was puffin just watching you… mind you I’m 72 and presently suffering with an enormous Kidney Stone so even walking is extremely uncomfortable… I love your little family set up, I think Jo is a wonderful mum to William and a brilliant enthusiastic cake maker, I hope both yours and Jo’s parents are very proud to have such switched on motivated son and daughter, hi to Sweet William… 😊

Sure enjoyed this!! I think the trick to great pastry is to put *everything* into the freezer--flour, butter, bowl, beaters, dough hook. Except eggs. Get it cold and keep it cold. Oh and for sure get that Kitchen Aid back on the crew, even if she needs her own generator! Send out the pressgangs!
Lots of ❤ and encouragement from across the pond. Have a great week. I hope to see your next enchanting vlog next Friday. ❤ you guys, best wishes from AZ USA 🇺🇸.

You two have acquired a lot of boat-related skills. I don't think you planned this particular boatyard career path, but hey, it works!
