The Mostar Bridge, is a rebuilt 16th-century Ottoman bridge in Mostar, Bosnia over ther river Neretva. In November 1993 the bridge collapsed due to shelling by the local Croatian army (HVO) during the Croat-Bosniak War.The bridge was a military target as the opposing Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina used it as a military supply line. The reconstruction took place and it was rebuilt in July 2004. Today its a big attraction for tourists all over the world.

Mr. Peric, this is a very inaccurate description of what took place. The Old Bridge was the only standing bridge in Mostar in 1993 due to Croatian and Serb forces blowing up all the bridges in the city. Then, when in May of 1993, Croatian Military (from the Republic of Croatia) together with the local Croatian nationalists invaded Bosnia and held all of the civilians in Eastern Mostar under siege, the bridge had to be used as a supply line because at least 20% of those civilians lived in sections of the city called Mahala and Cernica and they would have starved if food and water was not supplied over the bridge. To use saving civilian lives from starvation as an excuse to blow up the old bridge by the HVO war criminals is shameful at best. It is not OK to sugarcoat or relativize what happened to Mostar. Stating the truth as is, convenient or not, is the only way to ensure things like this never happen again. Regards.

Enjoying your Balkan video tour Foss. By the way i can recommend you Plitvicka Jezera in Central Croatia, well known spectacular waterfalls stream and national lake park. One not to miss, maybe one for future, if you've been to Croatia already .
