Say Nothing is a very good read.
I adored it!
I like that mug, “I like to party and by ‘party’ I mean READ BOOKS.”🤣
it's pretty much my only way to party now LOL
@@MeMyDogAndBooks 🤣Me too.
I just adore your videos out and about in Scotland! I live in Alaska and have only been over there once and desperately hope to return for a visit soon. Thank you for your lovely content, awesome recommendations, and sharing your sweet pups! ❤
WOW Alaska - I'd love to visit there! Your country looks lovely from what I've seen in tv/movies. Thanks so much for watching!
I’m from Belfast and lived through the Troubles - I’ll be interested to read -Say Nothing
it was interesting to read it from someone that isn't close to or on either side of "the troubles" i'd love to hear your thoughts. I recommend on audio
THERES A FIVE BOOK SET ON AMAZON REALLY GOOD
oh which books?!
Great vlog, love the Burrell collection not been there for ages xx
it's stunning since it's refurb and VERY accessible
I tried varifocals and hated them. It has been more phaff but I switch between distance glasses for driving/outdoors and glasses for mid-distance/screen display for work
I hear people can not like them so I have a two week trial at least and if it doesn't work out they will put them back to single lense so will keep you posted
Sectarian conflict was huge here in Canada from the early 1800s through to the 1960s. At one point, there were more Orange Lodges in Canada than in Northern Ireland itself. One of my ancestors was a leader of an Orange Lodge, I’m not proud to say.
WOW I did not know this... is that due to all of the scots and irish that came over? I'm sure if I went back into my family tree there'd be someone there too
@@MeMyDogAndBooks Yes, it's because of the many Irish who came to Canada. There's a question I forgot to ask you in the Q&A. Have you taken a DNA test such as the test that's offered by Ancestry?
great vlog! Do you like reading books about ghosts? I do ! If you have any titles about books pls let us know! Especially about haunted houses!
I adore ghost stories and haunted house books - let me make a note to make a list of some to share
@ thank you so much for your response, cannot wait to read the books you advise!
Over here in the states, varifocals are called progressives. I love them! You may find you adapt to them very quickly! Currently reading Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. I know it has good reviews, but I’m not loving it - not hating it either, just meh. Not a likable character in the whole lot. 😖 But definitely will finish.
oh i think i prefer progressives as a name for them. i am hoping i can adapt with them cos I am finding it very frustrating taking my glasses off and on so often. Oh I did like sharp objects but sometimes if you go into a "hyped" books it can under deliver. the characters are definitely not loveable - let me know how you get on!

Awww God varicocele are a nightmare goodluck
I'll keep your posted theres a 50:50 chance I like them!
Sorry can't spell lol😂
me neither 😂
I feel really sorry for the millions of women throughout the world whose parents gave them the name Karen.
It has now become a sexist derogatory slur.
Bad call Johanna!
i’m sorry and didn’t mean it with that intention and will reflect on that and not use it again. 🩷 thanks for calling it out for what it is!
i will do better!
Thanks Johanna have a great weekend with your mum💕💕
