Mr. Waddell , as a fellow Georgian and a life long fan, I appreciate everything you , Tyler and Bill have done for the hunting industry especially in Ga!! Besides everyone already knows only the elite get to hunt the Peach state!! The hardest state to kill a mature buck in, in the country!! And it ain't because there aren't any!! Go Dawgs!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🦌🦌
Waddell, my brother! You’ve just restored my hope in the hunting industry. Thank you for being humble and honest. Realtree is in great hands with Tyler and you my brother! Go Dawgs!
Love the podcast! Have watched you for years on the outdoor channel and TH-cam. I like how you still look out for the guy working all week barely making it that lives for a couple days on the weekend to hunt. Been watching you and Phillip Culpepper getting ready for our opener this weekend here in Mississippi. Keep up the great work brother!!
Michael Waddell, your raw honest emotional response (and funny sayings) is what I love so much about you. You are a breath of fresh air in a very stuffy arrogant business! Tyler Jordan, I completely agree with Michael’s description of you today! You have grown into a fine respectable young man. I look forward to your contributions to Realtree and the hunting business. Now let’s go eat some backstrap off the grill with Montreal steak seasoning!
Best podcast ever!!!You tell it Waddell. And Tyler I've watched you grow up on TV and what a great job your Mom and Dad did with you.Verry impressed stay positive and who you are and put the good Lord first.
Michael and Tyler, you are great role models for our kids!!! Thank you for being candid and up front with hunters and the social media!!! Having fun is what it is all about, even if you don't harvest what you are after.
Waddy, i had to go back and watch/listen to this episode again because everything you and Tyler say about hunting public &/or private is SO VERY true…! It also seems like as the years roll by it only seems like this argument of who’s better/tougher because they hunt public more than private land only keeps getting worse…! why can’t people just be happy for one another just because we/most of all of us love the outdoors & hunting and in general…! Love everything you guys promote and do for our such loved privileged passion of the outdoors and of course the podcast & most of all the Bone Collector Show…! Looking forward to every new podcast & new episode Anything Bone Collector….!!!
I agree 100%. I couldn't tell ya how many times I rewinded monster buck vhs tapes growing the realtree family was a big part of my childhood getting me hooked on huntin since I was 12 tell now I've only wore realtree camo and I will never change. Now I passed it on to my kids my boys 9 now killed 3 does and 2 big ole toms. Thanks again for the memories!
THANK YOU!!! So well said. Our hunting community has been it's own worst enemy for years due to pressures brought on by differenceses of opinions. This does need to be said, and brought to light, looked at honestly by us all, and stopped! For the future of our sport! I am a 62yr old hunter from NY, and have seen MANY changes in the industry, and sport, most for the better. With change comes opinions, and we go back to the problem. So, again, thank you for stating it.
at the 20:30 time mark in the video ole Waddy gives the best hunting talk I've ever heard. The average guy busts his butt to get time in the woods and keep the career on track and family. Too many have given up because of the criticism they receive for shooting small bucks etc.
I live in TN and primarily hunt TN. TN Deer Hunters facebook page is great and ran by great adm. but over half the people that show pics of their kills on that page are apologizing and saying they know its not the biggest deer in the woods but... It hurts me that people have this mentality. If you have 10 acres and the biggest deer that you have seen through all the hard work and time in the stand is a 100" 8pt. then you should be happy not apologizing!!
Nothing like being in the outdoors when daylight appears and Mother Nature wakes up. The birds chirping and singing, squirrels barking, every sound is intensified. You have escaped from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I do me!! Shoot or watch, and it’s all good!! Cannot put the feeling in a pill and fake live, get out there and really live and that squirrel is a my trophy no matter what any jackass sez.
Great discussion Guys ! Will definitely be watching more . As a 44 year old , I grew up watching yall grow up on the Monster Buck videos and never felt like y'all acted like yall were better than anyone . It was like Christmas when I'd find the new VHS at Wal-Mart and I'd come straight home and throw it in the vcr to watch yall's newest adventures . Keep up the good work . I think the hunting community better start to stick together or we'll be our own demise . As long as you do it ethically , I don't care how the next person hunts or what they kill . My favorite way of hunting is with a pack of hounds and it's not about the kill at all ! I love the fellowship and my dogs doing what they were bred to do , then at the end of the day , if there's meat on my tailgate that's a bonus . I think this way of hunting catches more flack than any but I can honestly say that it makes me just as happy when someone else kills in front of my pack as if I would have been me ! If yall would ever like to come to SC and join us sometime , we'd love to have ya !!! Michael and Tyler , thanks for being humble and letting us live through your eyes for many years !
Good on you Michael and Tyler! Great podcast and telling it like its is !!! Us hunters need to have fun and not bag on each other for the size or quality of what we Harvest. Hunting is the lifestyle a great awesome lifestyle that the good Lord has provided for us. Thank you two for being the Good in this life !!! 👍👍
Man Michael I just found your podcast clip here on TH-cam. I immediately flipped over and downloaded the podcast. I’ve followed you a long time so I’ll be very thankful to have this podcast while I’m cuttin my grass and driving around the south turkey huntin this spring. Folks like me can’t seem to get enough of you telling it like it is brother. Looking forward to more of this great content.
Good talking !! The only way to do it is tell it the way it is & if some people feathers get ruffled the just shake real good they will lay right down !! Yal boys stay safe !! Daniel from central Mississippi
My first ever buck a a younger 7-pt, I was so excited to bring it back to the house and show my family. My uncle looks at it says, “ I wouldn’t have shot it” and walks off. Happens all too often.
The realtree, primos, bone collector, and hunting public guys are some of my favorite hunters. Do I hunt like them...... I have never went with an outfitter and I’ve barely done public so no. But they all have great attitudes towards hunting. The viewers get more uppity about people who hunt private than THP guys do!
I love this podcast no one should ever feel bad about their success we should all be more excited about others success. We hunted a two big deer last year and me and my buddy hunted them two deer only until the last two weeks of season and we were lucky enough to kill both of them. Our neighbor was so pissed off at us because we killed the big ten we hunted from bow season all the way to the end of rifle. He hunted for a week and was mad that we put in the time and got lucky and what’s sad is if he had killed that buck we would have still celebrated his success but him being a fellow hunter was mad at others success.
Man I know this is a old video buy it made me laugh. Not because it was super funny or snarky but because it made me think of the times I've spent in the woods with my brother just cracking up with what started as a hunt then turned into a comedy show. we wait all year for bow season and man you can tell when it starts getting close we start talking arrows, old hunts past hunts we want to go on and what we got running around on the property. We love it! It's long days slinging arrows getting tuned up while busting each other's chops leading up to the season. man nothing compares to showing up opening morning before the sun's up getting ready and then it happens... once again we get to head out to the field with our ol man and/or our sons, hoping for that one shot and more of those stories that will last a life time.
I love this discussion!! Folks should do it how they like to do it. As long as it's legal and ethical. Stop bashing the folks that don't do it the way you do it! Get out there and have FUN!! It's not about the "I'm a man, hear my roar!" Nobody really cares about that non-sense! Michael, thank you for keeping it real. I got to meet you in Nashville at the NWTF convention and I appreciate you being down to earth and a great representative for the sport and industry
I think it's more about the terrain and region that people felt like their wasn't a connection like private land hunters in southeast Alabama or southwest Georgia don't really take anything away from hunts in Iowa Kansas and the Midwest states...now i love watching waddy on his georgia farm and hunts in mississippi realtree has been on like with austin riley...I think more southeastern state hunts would help
I agree about the "industry" being a joke. I still watch you guys realtree content but I've not watched a episode of anything on outdoor tv in a lot of years. The amount of game violations that surface just from guys trying to make money instead of doing it because it's their passion is insane. Sad part is, most times they get a slap on the wrist and it all goes away. If myself or someone else did some of these things it would be hell to pay. Brackett, SpooK, Busbice, Bowmars.....GREGG RITZ!! Does realtree still back him?? Would love to hear these things touched on. Keep em coming Waddy! I know you're authentic!
Tyler Jordan is fortunate to have grown up with the father and family that he has and he has had better land to hunt...but I'm sure that kid has had so much pressure put on him from high school, college friends and social media. He grew up with ALL that pressure on him that would send some kids to their breaking point or at the very least to give up. He is no longer a kid, he is an intelligent young man with responsibilities and imo he is doing a great job and I hope that Waddy continues to be the ambassador for all outdoors because he speaks his mind. I love hunting and fishing and growing up watching these guys, I thought that is what I wanted to do so I stuck my foot in the door. Let me tell you, yeah it is rewarding but not for everyone. I couldn't handle it and I'm pretty stubborn and hard headed but these guys put more work in than 99% will ever know. I 100% believe the story that Bill Jordan told about not having the $$$ to get home when he believed in his product and got his big break with Spartan. I enjoy watching Waddell, THP, Dave Owens, Culpepper and my man Nate Hosie. All you guys are good for the up and comers to hunting. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks for the comment Jeremy! Our message at BC has been the same since day 1! Stand up for the culture of the hunter. No excuse! Not the TV hunter, the public land hunter, the private land hunter., etc.. THE HUNTER! We're all on the same team and we want to continue to share that message for a long long time. Happy hunting!
While I agree that there are guys out there that are hard to have conversations with and they refuse to end it with "agree to disagree" I also believe a lot of them simply are that passionate about putting in the work during the summer and the challenge of that pursuit, and in the end it might come across on TH-cam or TV as though they think they're better than others. When in reality they don't think that. They simply love the challenge and the experience of it all so much that they are willing to bust their ass and have as much equipment as possible to help give them that edge that'll help get them closer to that deer of a lifetime
Waddy, You got far more people who are with you than against you. Its just idiots like the guy below who tend to make the most noise. Been watching you since the beginning and I love it. Ignore the morons. And FYI - Yes it is a bream bed. But its grass shrimp on Orange Lake down here in the FL. swamps.
Tedd nudgent, Bone collector, Red arrow, and Pig man, can watch you guys all day. You guys seem happy to just see something or just knocking down a doe. ( Like a normal Joe) Other hunting shows seems to tell you how you " should" hunt and what you " need" to buy to hunt. All their gear seems to be like Nascar now, names on everything. No thanks.
You guys said it best, it don’t matter what other people think. I’ve hunted private land that one season I had great success and the next I didn’t. I’ve hunted WMA’s all over Georgia and and success and failure. My best buck on public was at Beaverdam! 4/12 yr old 7 pointer with great mass. I work all over the US 10 1/2 months out of the year. I’m older so yeah I’m gonna go to a couple outfitters because I don’t have the time to put into scouting and food plot planting. But I will never give up the passion I have for hunting just because the next guy doesn’t like the way I do it, as long as it’s legal then let’s go. I have watched you guys for many years and yes I agree Realtree is in good hands with Tyler. Y’all have a great year and may the arrows fly straight!!!
I believe the hunting industry has harmed hunting in a sense. I dont believe it was intentional. I hate hearing someone bashing someone because the shot a doe or a buck that doesn't meet their standard. We have lost what really matters. This video is great.
I saw a Facebook post saying that Fred bear was the most influential hunter of our lifetime. While Fred was awesome...... that wasn’t my lifetime and I think it’s Waddell. He has stood up to the anti hunters more than anyone except for SCI in my opinion. I think he’s got the best attitude in the lifestyle but he doesn’t take much shit compared to all these other industry hosts
Everyone on here is missing the real point .. hunt how you want , hunting is the only thing in this world that nobody can tell me how to do it . Great video y'all turkey season is here baby - Haywood calls ..
People are so worried about how they appear on social media that they will ruin something as wonderful as enjoying the outdoors just for the "likes". I love watching new hunters get into hunting and learning to enjoy it. People that get upset because a person has access to the best farms or ponds are nothing more than jealous and want to start a pee pee measuring contest.
Waddell gets it. It's not about public or private. It's about having fun in the outdoors. Social media and the cigar smoking TH-cam heroes are ruining the sport.
Tyler-hotty toddy!! These guys have to ask to hunt most places. As a matter of a fact the place that tyler was talking about was a friend of mine that he asked on FB if he could turkey hunt there. ANYONE can do that. I've asked people to hunt thousands of time, alot have been told no,but sometimes have been allowed. Hunt alot of public land as well.
I'm not accusing Realtree of this, but I used to raise deer in Texas and I've personally tranquilized a tame 170 inch deer from a pen and drove it out to a high fence pasture for a well known TV hunter to come shoot the very next day. I've always liked watching the Realtree guys and really hope they've never been apart of something like that. I agree with what was said here, everyone does it different, but pen deer are tame and it's not at all fair chase. The outfit I worked for mainly would release them to breed their native deer and not hunt them, which I was alright with. I personally didn't hunt deer where I worked anyways. But the time this incident happened I was helping out on another ranch and it really opened my eyes to some of the BS that goes on behind the scenes of TV hunting. Not saying it's everyone or that it's Realtree, but it happens. To me, those type of TV guys are the real problem giving hunting a bad name for the rest.
What type of person comes to a TH-cam channel and thumbs down things? I have vary little faith in those people that have nothing better to do then spew negativity
I have noticed that some you tubers act like they are better than others. But the advertising of the hunting industry has gotten old. Take what you want and leave the rest. So many things to say and not enough time to do it. I could care less what people think. I just love hunting and fishing
Much respect for Aaron and The Hunting Public team. Rest assured, nobody over here is "scared." The more popular hunters there are, the more popular hunting is. Win, win. Especially when promoting hunting in a fun and positive way with no elitism attached.
What you guys do is not attainable by 80% of blue collar hunters. That’s why the hunting public is so popular. I enjoy you guys. But most hunters only have public land or small tracts of super pressured land. I just don’t want hunting celebs to lose touch with reality for most hunters. I love your content and this interview.
great view. I get tired of hearing how I should have left that 3 year old 8 point go another year. Why, so the neighbor can shoot him in rifle season? After 20 days in a tree I am proud to wack a deer that size and proud to be eating deer burgers another year. I am for whatever is legal. Pa allows crossbows now. I got a nice buck with one and my cousin saw the picture of my buck and me along with my crossbow in a picture. my cousin said did that crossbow come with a skirt? I told him no, it came with venison!!
Ok first off big fan of both y'all I remember watching Tyler kill his first turkey and deer all star springs and monster bucks on VHS. But I must say hunting public land is very different then privet or high fence. My dad had properties I walked every square inch, knew what was on it and hunted it well. It was simple because I was so knowledgeable to the area. That's why people slam privet land hunters. If you have 1000 acres of land, 75 cameras linked to you phone, and 200 diff stand sight, a few small lakes, and a list of food plots, Well now it's a RICH MAN'S GAME. You better have killed some monsters on it, because you have full control of the land. I'm not knocking private lands at all. I said I hunted my dad's place as a kid. The more hunters that do it the less orange I'll see on public land HOWEVER Public land hunting keeps everyone on the same playing field across the board. Now if your crazy fit you can go in 10 miles kill something put it on your back and walk it out. More power to ya!!! It's impossible to scout every hill, valley, mountain and field in 300,000 acres that every one in amarica can use just as freely you or I. It's about the challenges that you over come to be successful that people take so much pride in with public land. That being said if my son shoots Bambi and he's proud of it, Then I am too!! And if any douche nozzle want to put him down for it..... I'll solve that problem when I find someone dumb enough to do it.
I know the direct accusation wasn't made but I would like to say The Hunting Public are not the guys beating their chest or downgrading private land hunters. They hunt public land because everyone can do it and the objective is to get new hunters into the sport. 🤷♂️
I think there’s less unity in the hunting community as a whole...... a guy reported my tik tok videos because I shot doe, and he was a self proclaimed hunter!
I love bass fishing and deer hunting but I have come to the point where I am beginning to hate bass fisherman and deer hunters. I have fun fishing and hunting. This ego thing has gone too far. Stop judging and just let others be.
I don't have money or property. Today, I am lucky to see a couple deer a year, and even luckier still to kill one. It wasn't always like that. Public land was a great option, affordable private land to lease was abundant, and people used to invite one and other to hunt their property regularly which is unheard of locally today. This was up until the late 2000's. Since then people have been pushed off private land due to ever increasing costs to lease and land owners going commercial. In other words greed. This can and has been traced directly to the proliferation of horn porn we see on television and in the media. Everyone wants the land to themselves with dreams of monster bucks. This displaces a large portion of hunters. Because of this public land pressure is so bad in my area that studies have shown that we would pretty much have to do away with gun season to keep even a modest herd on the landscape. It is nothing to pay $2500 -$4,000 a year now to be in a club that used to cost $500 - $1500 with no betterment of the hunting. I can't and won't do it. I got out of private leases years ago. I am down to small game hunting and either sex gun hunts on public land. It is not worth the time away from family to bow hunt anymore or hunt a bucks only gun season. I no longer fancy myself a "deer hunter". Luckily I got a couple wall hangers while I could. I don't know if I will ever get another one.
Hey Waddell I’m just going to say it could u hook me up with a new turkey vest some merch my wife said no said I’m worse then a woman buying shoes when it comes to buying turkey gear and I don’t feel like donating plasma again to secretly go get my turkey gear they don’t understand!!!
Oh com' on guys. Stop it already. Just admit that you have a much easier time than the average Joe out there hunting. You guys get the best outfitters, drive the newest trucks, hunt prime land. Not saying there's anything wrong with it but don't tell me you're still on my level.
Mr. Waddell , as a fellow Georgian and a life long fan, I appreciate everything you , Tyler and Bill have done for the hunting industry especially in Ga!! I agree the content of this video is great. The thing that matters us time spent with those you love and the reward of the hunt.

love the way waddell keeps it real on here

Love it brother keep it up..
But its grass shrimp on Orange Lake down here in the FL. swamps.
Ol waddy!
Great video!
This is what we need
Tedd nudgent, Bone collector, Red arrow, and Pig man, can watch you guys all day. You guys seem happy to just see something or just knocking down a doe. ( Like a normal Joe) Other hunting shows seems to tell you how you " should" hunt and what you " need" to buy to hunt. All their gear seems to be like Nascar now, names on everything. No thanks.
We're all brothers and sisters doing the same thing we have loved to do since we were children.
Plz post all the pod cast on your TH-cam channel!!
Haters gonna hate, screw em. Do what you do!
Taylor, thanks for that! Means a lot. We're just keeping it real and enjoying all aspects of hunting.
love Waddell keeping it 100%
Still born into money so that first foot foward in life helps.. good show men!
Thanks brother! We're all on the same team 🙌🏽 But hey, we too like a good cigar from time to time! lol
Darn mr. Waddell understands the average hunter
95% of us watch these guys cause we know we'll never have a opportunity to hunt anywhere other than where we're at and live
Save your money and make it happen it’s possible
@@randyturnquist1254 not a option with hospital and medical bills

Then turn your spot into a better place to hunt.
Two 30$ pear trees can make magic happen.
Bc I hunt private land and it's still hard😂
Tyler-hotty toddy!! These guys have to ask to hunt most places. As a matter of a fact the place that tyler was talking about was a friend of mine that he asked on FB if he could turkey hunt there. ANYONE can do that. I've asked people to hunt thousands of time, alot have been told no,but sometimes have been allowed. Hunt alot of public land as well.
Man I’d love to do what you do. I’m eat up with this hunting stuff man. Let me get an opportunity to do this kinda stuff and I’d take off with it.
Waddle for president
Just a thought, Get Dave Owen's on the pod cast!!
Anyone that bashes another man/woman about hunting , is not a great Hunter 100%
I have noticed that some you tubers act like they are better than others. But the advertising of the hunting industry has gotten old. Take what you want and leave the rest. So many things to say and not enough time to do it. I could care less what people think. I just love hunting and fishing
#thp you’re scaring the “pros”
Much respect for Aaron and The Hunting Public team. Rest assured, nobody over here is "scared." The more popular hunters there are, the more popular hunting is. Win, win. Especially when promoting hunting in a fun and positive way with no elitism attached.
What you guys do is not attainable by 80% of blue collar hunters. That’s why the hunting public is so popular. I enjoy you guys. But most hunters only have public land or small tracts of super pressured land. I just don’t want hunting celebs to lose touch with reality for most hunters. I love your content and this interview.
Makes me very proud killing 2 of my best deer ever at home in North Ga both with archery.
You didn’t get the raven package that comes with two skirts and a tampon? Lmfao
I wish! Raven only offers those kinds of perks to celebrities. 😳🤣🤣
@@lukebryant5017 I wish! Raven only offers those kinds of perks to celebrities. :-)
The more hunters that do it the less orange I'll see on public land
HOWEVER
Public land hunting keeps everyone on the same playing field across the board.
24:14 I've threatened to sell everything and quit hunting and fishing, just to stop hearing the nagging.
I know the direct accusation wasn't made but I would like to say The Hunting Public are not the guys beating their chest or downgrading private land hunters. They hunt public land because everyone can do it and the objective is to get new hunters into the sport. 🤷♂️
Much respect for The Hunting Public team. No negative accusations made brother.
@@BoneCollectorTube 🙏
