- I made a backing track for Children of the Grave from the album tribute
and put guitar over it. I uploaded this song before, but it was blocked by Ozzy's voice,
so I added the solo part and tried again.

Randy didn't want to do too many Sabbath songs. I know this. I'm a big fan of Randy, just like you. And I did not copy this song only for more than 30 years. However, I like the guitar solo in this song the best. So I tried to reproduce it as faithfully as I could. And I used Polka Dot V.
I know there are many opinions, but this is the selfish performance of an old man who has lived for more than half a century. Please forgive me.
Also, I am not good at English.
Over the mountain's solo starts with black sabbath. Randy and Ozzy were Black Sabbath. Same type of music. Same genre. So trying to separate Randy and Black Sabbath is almost impossible. I love Randy but there's a reason he joined a black sabbath member. Without Ozzy he really hadn't achieved much. His quiet riot years were a bit bland and really boring. Its when he starts playing Black Sabbath style music that he really shines. Even Van Halen played a bit of Sabbath too. I'm a huge Randy fan myself. Tribute in my opinion is the best album ever recorded. Rock on 🎸

I discovered Randy when my dad bought me this cassette back in '87. He absolutely killed those Sabbath songs....& the live version of crazy train was incredible! Still my favorite guitarist of all time! Great cover!!

NICE JOB! Saw Randy play at Montreal's Theatre St-Denis in 1981. Probably one of the best nights of my life! I can still see all of it in my head. Since I was at about 25 feets from the stage, I can tell you that you play just like he did. Simple, straight to the point and efficient. Yet very impressive. You're good Dude!

My musical exposure was chronologically screwed. I first discovered Ozzy in like 1987, Jr. year HS. I didn't know about Sabbath, even. I latched on to Blizzard, then the Tribute album. Later, I researched, and learned to love old Sabbath; but this version of "Children", I loved first. Good job. Sounded just like it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
By the way, I guess Jr. year HS means junior high school. This is how I was made to remember it.
After all, English education in Japan is only for exams, not for conversation.

It was incredible I must say. I’ve been listening to Randy since I was 11/12 years old. He died when I was 13. That looks like this puts us in the same age bracket...
An absolute musical Genius/talent. he was light years ahead of his time!!! And he was only 25 years old. Just insane. I just absolutely couldn’t imagine him today.

Wow! That was truly incredible. We're probably about the same age and I too have been a huge fan of Randy's work since Blizzard was released. I was just about to tackle this solo and thought I'd check in on YT to see if anybody had posted an example. This was the very first vid I found and I will look no farther. You absolutely nailed it! Great job! I always found it interesting that instead of tuning down like on the Sabbath version Randy played it in C# on a regular tuned guitar.

Después de comprarla, me di cuenta de que la misma guitarra también se vende en Aliexpress en China a un precio más bajo.
He sustituido la mayoría de las partes metálicas de la guitarra, incluidas las pastillas, porque era de mala calidad.

I found something similar and bought it.
I think it was probably made in China.
I didn't know anything about it and bought it on Yahoo Auctions for about 4 times the price.
The product itself is not very good, but you can buy it from ZUWEI in China now.
If you are interested, you should buy it directly from ZUWEI. However, it is a fake and needs to be repaired if you want to use it after purchase.

Hey what digital programs are you using for your amp and backing tracks?
The amp simulator is JAM VOX III. It is a combination of JCM800 and 900. As I wrote in the explanation column, I made my own backing track. I don't know the software company. Also, at first I uploaded the original song, but it was rejected, so I had no choice but to create it.

Great playing! But your guitar’s g or b string appears to be out of tune and the tone is not right. Maybe less gain and turn off whatever phaser or cocked wah appears to be on?

I bought it on Yahoo Auctions for about $1200.
I looked it up later and found that it was made in China😓
So I replaced all the metal parts including the pickups.

First I played this memorable song with the original.
However, it was blocked on TH-cam.
The image of the small performance of the guitar solo is the one that was blocked.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally succeeded in uploading it by using this stale track.
