This may sound crazy but on my black vinyl seat I used rustoleum rubber coating “flex seal type” and it surprisingly work really well. It took several coats.

I have a few cracks in my vinyl dash in my Benz that drive me up the wall. I literally stare at them every time I get in the car. The Florida sun is brutal on cars ! One guy gave me a 2k quote to reupholster the dash pad! Anyway, now that you've done this technique , I'm definitely going to fix mine myself.
