Besides Yen carry trade there are other factors also contributing to world wide sell off are like Rate hike in Japan, fear of slowing down in the US economy, Geo political tensions, over valued market etc.
Market sooner or later reverts to its mean and remove / correct all price distortions. Reasons for market corrections may be different at different occasions.
