This dude played for an hour and a half, went outside for like 2 minutes, and then came back in and played some more. I was blown away witnessing this performance.
As a guitar player/music lover for the past 40+ years I can say that IMO Sayce is the best I’ve ever heard. That includes all of the old guys, as well as the new school of guitar players.
Sayce is truly a force of nature. Can't believe he's not selling out arenas and stadiums everywhere. His rhythm section is epic as well. 3 piece destruction. He gives his soul at every performance. Thank you for posting. Incredible!😊
One of the most underrated blues guitarist of our generation. Dude is a phenomenal player. I had the chance to see SRV back in the 80’s and get fro hang out with him a bit as well. Phillip is absolutely on the same level of the greats. Thank you for posting. I was looking for a more recent concert. Perfect 🤙🤙. Much love from North Carolina 🤙🤙
This dude has been within a 3 to 4 hour drive from me in like the last two weeks. I gotta get my head outta my ass and see where he is next. The Empty Glass would eat this up! These fellas are dope!
He was amazing with jeff healy in ohne Germany. This video is him trying to by jimi hendrix and srv and playing in e pentatonic constantly every song sounds the same
I saw Phil on September 17 this year in a small room that could hold a maximum of 200 people standing and there were about 60 of us he gave the same performance that you see here it was in Quebec Canada it was incredible and the sound was loud as fuck..... But I don't understand the Phil why he does small venue shows like that? The talent he has and let's not forget the drum and bass oalalal. Independent of fortune he has fun, I believe? But it should be even better known and get more attention. It's Jimi Hendrix and Steve Ray Vaughan without one body :)
I didnt know Stevie and Jimi had a son? Phil if those are 10 gauge strings.....TAKE YOUR GLUCOSAMINE/CHONDROITAN MSM for those tendons! You must go thru frets like nobody else. I have an original 64 Vibroverb w 15' JBL yours to use for any gig 50miles from santa rosa ca. Delivered all electric. dlnt be late I saw your u tube picture in my list of optilns to watch and my !ittle knowing voice said "this guy can play!" glad I listened.
You have this guy with Huge Talent playing small venues, then you have Kirk Hammett with virtually zero talent that has no idea what a key is, but plays Huge venues. Life is not fair at times.
His hands have to hurt so bad after a gig. I know mine would be shot in 1 hour and Id spend the next two days eating ibuprofen and hot cold hot cold. And Im only 47. He has what 10years on me? He has to be hurting for the next 48hrs. If not he’s lucky.
He's in his 40's. He's never talked of his hands hurting. When he practices at home he plays with the same intensity so his hands are probably used to it
@@1AnitrasDance Oh shit, I just looked it up, were the same age! I just assumed he was older remember him playing with heroes I was watching as a teen, I guess he started young. But yeah, if you work out with the same intensity everyday, like a body builder, you maintain the strength and dexterity. But I have to blame the hard blue collar work as part of my issues, maybe genetics too. Hard to say. But he is playing is on peak level. Peak level, on another level. He transports to another planet and blows my mind.
I'd like to see Sayce/Gales/Bonamassa on the same stage together.

Epic
@@SomeKindOfMadman you couldn’t ask for a better performance.
He had to piss

I am a now a dedicated fan, fantastic show. ❤❤❤
WOW!! I wish there was a way to give multiple thumbs up! Excellent.
For me Philip is the pure srv legacy but not a clone ! Really incredibly playing style 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Thank you Natasha!
Natasha wonderful camera work.
Can’t stop practicing with this concert and the court grill concert! Thanks so much
Legend
Sayce is an exceptional talent. We can almost forgive Canada for Bryan Adams after this.
😂😂 come on though Run to you isnt that bad a tune
hey now it was Jeff Healey that discovered him😉
Yeah fine but Philip Sayce is Welsh boyo!
@@andyjota8906 welsh by birth/genetically, Canadian culturally.
Bombastic, like always! 💥💥💥
He plays like his soul is on fire! Greatness in the flesh. And his body shows it really is, because he’s always sweating profusely when he plays
Natasha! Thanks again for this great footage with great sound! (as always).
I enjoyed this a lot!!
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it
33:29 as a guitar player.... That lick blew my mind...
GREAT!!! 🔥🎸
So good
Perfect mixture of Jimi and Stevie 😳 Stupid insanely Badass!
This man deserves better!
Smokin hot!! Can't wait to see them on the 27th.
this guy is amazing
Philip Sayce is really good, yet I never heard of him until today. And he's playing at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas WV. Life isn't always fair.
Bad ass!

Wow the man plays with such intensity he is no joke and he has a great voice. Very talented
He is unreal...2nd coming of SRV.
Can you believe he got less than 400 likes, unbelievable, the man is a legend FFS and he's Welsh

Well there you have it...Micheal Jackson is alive and well and hanging out at Phil Sayce gigs!
32:16 is a big reason why this dude is "up there" with the rest of the best
Hadir.. Keren
Great player... But on several of his songs here, and in his videos, he's the King of playing in the E realm!! (though tuned to Eb).
Exactly he's no Rory Gallagher
this dude should be selling out arenas
My goodness, this guy is almost 50 and playing at his peak
“ turn that DOWN!
I have to get up for WORK in the morning!
I can’t sit around all day and play the guitar like YOU. “
SRV MEETS HENDRIX
Nice does he ever come to Florida?
Liking your music. Your tone remind me of Jimi a lot. Light strings medium action? Cool strat is it old and what's the amp? Do you play NW PA at all ?

That one woodlogger who can play the hell out of a guitar.

Do you think SRV could have took over this guys soul?
All respect to Stevie my idol but
Phil outplays him.

He uses 11-13s if I'm not wrong
he's said anywhere from 10-52 to 12s. Here, im betting they were 11s. @@mentosz9609
