OMFG!! Hugo's House of Horrors. I'v been looking for this game for 11 years. I gave up looking for it, giving people descriptions like. "The start of the game you have to look for a key to enter this scary house". but thats all I remember from it 11 years ago, I was really young. But now, thanks to my curiosity of looking at DOS games. I FOUND IT!> YAY!
Played hugo house of horrors when I was 9 in 1993 in my 3rd grade class a boy had the game on a floppy disk and had the cheat codes and told me to memorize the paper with the cheat codes took me 5 mins to beat it in class😊
I think I love you. Thank you SO MUCH! I've been looking for this game for 10 years or so lol lost trace of it when I abandoned Win MS DOS. It was Commander Keen 4. Again, thank you so much!
I believe you are looking for the Commander Keen series. Most of them are just numbered with a subtitle (Keen 1, Keen 2 etc), except for Keen Dreams and Aliens Ate My Babysitter! (both quite rare). You shouldn't have any trouble finding Commander Keen: Marooned on Mars (Keen 1), Goodbye Galaxy! (Keen 4) or the demo for Aliens Ate My Babysitter! Those three are all shareware or free demos that you can find just about anywhere on the net.
Hugo's House of Horrors, a fun little graphical text adventure. It was the first in a trilogy, followed by Hugo 2 Hudone'it (not sure if that's spelled right) and the 3rd I don't remember the title but it was in a jungle if I remember correctly. There's also Nightmare 3d House of Horrors which is like wolf 3d but you play as Hugo.
Hugo's house of horrors: Spend a lot of time learning english with that game. ( and still suck at it. ) Jetpack: Always played the game because of it's "editor" to create new maps and stuff. Jazz Jackrabbit: Was along with another game, "stunts", the main games we played on the school computer. Lemmings, whacky wheels, streetrod, simcity aaah so much i played back then :D
I'm looking for a old game like those i was playing in 93, i was 3. It was a little yellow guy and you had obstacles... That's all I remembrr! Been looking for it for a couple years now, never found it!
I must say, these games are fun and all but none of them would crack my top ten. What about X-com? What about Master of Magic? Any of the Space quest series or Warlords, or Worms, or Stars?
Hugo house of horrors. When it first came out it was a very popular game. the only thing I disliked about it was that you had to type everything in. If you wanted "hugo" to walk right, you had to type it. But like I said, it was a fun game considering it was Dos
Only Commander Keen is made by id Software.. Duke Nukem is Apogee. Jazz is made by Epic. JetPack is by Software Creations. Hocus Pocus is published by Apogee, but created by another team. I don't know about the rest, but I'm pretty sure id had nothing to do with them.
I'm looking for a game (I think it was Windows based) that seems like a slightly more sophisticated version of Vectoroids. In it, your computer has been invaded and you travel in a spaceship to retrieve your files. Does anybody know what it's called or where I can get a hold of it?
Can someone tell me the title of a game, where you're an old man in some kind of castle full of monsters? You can drink water and eat to regenerate health. Please, I played this as a little kid and I don't know the title :(
Does anyone remember a game called kent4, or sth like that? it was awesome, it was similar to mario bros... there was this kid in a forest and there were snails and fire-spitting balls... and there were different worlds.. jezz, I wish I could find it..

This seems like a demonstration of the superior sound and music of Jazz Jackrabbit.
OMG! Jetpack! I haven’t seen that in like 30 years or maybe even more! Thank you!
1:40 hocus pocus...That was one of my favorite games back then...
I think I love you. Thank you SO MUCH! I've been looking for this game for 10 years or so lol lost trace of it when I abandoned Win MS DOS. It was Commander Keen 4. Again, thank you so much!

OMG I had forgotten about God of Thunder! man nostalgia overload
I remember these games, good ol' memories :)
No Kilo Blaster or Commander Keen IV? Seriously?
I played 8 out of ten of those. Loved Hugo House of Horrors.
Question, did you gather some of these off the Game Select Special disc series of bundled shareware/freeware?
You're including VGA games in here like Champ Kong, Hocus Pocus and Jazz Jack Rabbit?
I must say, these games are fun and all but none of them would crack my top ten. What about X-com? What about Master of Magic? Any of the Space quest series or Warlords, or Worms, or Stars?
I used to play the shit out of Duke Nukem. Remembered when Duke Nukem came out on PS1, didn't know what I was experiencing. Mind-blown.

Rayman 1 is truly the best MS-DOS game ever!
And also one of the best 2D action games of all time!
@EduMetal90 Thank a lot man! Last time I've played it was hmm...13 years ago :)

That was around the 1990's. Do you really think that there was even Duke Nukem Forever?
I remembered playing a game very similar to hugo which is way longer, pirate's island or something, anyone knew of it?
Ah jetpack one of my most favourite games ever!
It's free now and even has a sequel.
You're welcome, and thank you for letting me know.
