Maybe you could try a stuffie for Snow White. Something she could cuddle with and interact with. Just a thought. I know that other rescued animals find friends in stuffed animals.

The first thing I thought about SW was how happy she is-she feels at home now-sweet girl. I adopted a 6 year old cat three months ago and he has mostly spent the whole time under my bed BUT just over the last couple of days or so he’s been running and jumping and playing- he has to be feeling better! I’m so glad, sweet Peek-a-Boo! ❤ I’m getting really attached to him.
Did you name the cat Peek-a-Boo? I love it!!! We named our dog Little Buddy because that's what we seemed to call him most of the time.
They adjust in their own time. I have 4 rescue dogs. All of them have adapted withing a few day except one. It took her 6 months before she would come put of her crate.. it was a good year before she went into our living room at the other end of the house. Once she did, she claimed it as hers. The only time she leaves that area is when she goes potty & when she eats dinner. She still has some really strange quirks that she'll probably always have. We've had her for 6 years. She was three when we got her and had been used as a breeder momma in a puppy mill. She had zero socialization prior to going to rescue. It's all on their own time.

Jason, place your seeds in an envelope, not plastic. If any moisture at all is in the seeds, they will mildew. Just write on the outside of a regular paper mailing envelope or a brown paper bag.

A funny Mockingbird story. I was sitting in my back yard when I heard the Mockingbird. Went out and whistled my wee song. . . over and over. Within 20minutes that bird mocked my song. I love God's creatures.

I think she now has enough vision to wander. The only way you would know for sure is to take the mirror out and see if she keeps wandering. I am happy that she is feeling healthy enough to wander. 💖💖💖

Holly playing in the pond was awesome! I love to see Snow White. Her left eye isn’t all cloudy like when you first got her. She did look calm and totally relaxed and that is good. Can’t wait for your flower garden next year. Thank you Jason & Brooke for sharing your wonderful life with us.
Snow White feels safe where she is at. She knows she's loved and cared for.
Maybe you should think of integrating Snow White with your other peacocks? I think come next Spring and Scott and the other peacocks start getting vocal she is going to want to be with her own kind. Even with her vision issues she probably could eventually successfully become part of the flock
I went in the hospital and gave birth to my first child on September 29th 1980 when I went in the hospital I went in a pair of maternity shorts and sleeveless maternity top just a little straps when I came out 3 days later there was snow all over the ground

Marycarl gave some station? Suts to Boots, Longhorn Lester's didn't pan out. Sometimes what works for someone doesn't work for others. I dried marigolds. They grow well in VT. I have Xenia's growning in my apartment. We are famous for our apple and maple trees.
I bet Snow White would love her own aviery and a special friend. Graduated roosts but enough room for her to fly up a little. She really is special and beautiful
It is amazing how you can recognize what each of your clan needs and figure out how best to provide it. The mirror was genius, and then recognizing it may be creating another issue was even better. Snow White may just be a free spirit who needs her own path, so I’d just clip her wings so she can’t put herself in danger outside the fences, and let her roam. You guys are amazing❤️

@@LeahJo13What if she needed to escape a predator, then she couldn’t get away. Another option is to put her up in the evening to keep her safe.
@@merisehetherington9785 That is a concern. It doesn't sound like she's a very good flyer anyway. If she is unsupervised during the day and flew out to the road that's just as dangerous. They can't watch her 24/7. If her wings were clipped and she stayed where she is she's got donkeys nearby who are natural protectors. They also have livestock guardian dogs. But I do hear your concern. And there are many, many options. All I did was agree with the person who brought this up stating this is one viable option. It's probably what I would do in this situation. But I don't think Jason and Brooke would clip her wings anyway. I know they will do what they feel is the right thing for Snow White.

I am so glad Brooke saw Snow White. She would never make it outside the barn. She is beautiful. She might miss being with her own kind. Everything looks beautiful. The pastures and the animals are enjoying their lives. I love the sound of the birds. I hope the seeds you get workout. It would supply a lot of animals, birds and bees the food they need to produce and be healthy. You think of everything Jason of what can improve and benefit your farm. You have come a long ways since your first farm. I am happy to see it all. ❤❤❤

If the green coop isn’t being used maybe build her an aviary off of that and let her live there.
Jason, I just read that a good companion for peacock is PHEASANT. The article says they can get along with chickens but can't handle the blackhead illness.
I think y'all should put her in the covered kennel run you kept Scott in when you first moved there.
I suggested that before. I know Jason said it wasn’t in good shape but he could replace the mesh and do whatever repairs. I think she would be happier near the feathered folks.
Sorry the mirror didn't work out but I know you guys will do your best for Snow White. I'm not sure Goldie quite approved of Holly going in her pond but. Holly sure looked to be having fun. Have a great weekend guys.

I'd put her in the cage that you put the peacocks, and peahens when you came to the farm. She can be outside with everyone and still be safe.

Well, Miss Snow White needs to let y'all know what she needs by telling you. Course she doesn't speak human and y'all don't speak peafowl. I love these cooler temps, too. Holly will be full of energy tomorrow since she's going to sleep so well tonight. Your animals are so comfortable with y'all. You take such good care of them.
Omg I love Holly so much! Looked as if Goldie and Nugget wanted to join in the fun with Holly! My zinnias reseed themselves every year! I also help them by crumbling and scattering them! They come up pretty early and are strong and gorgeous colors! So glad Brooke found SW and was able to bring her back home safely!
Jason, this was an excellent video! I love how you teach, while filming, about animals and flowers and trees on your videos. I probably won’t ever do any of the things your teaching but the knowledge is extremely good to have! 73 in the spring, everyone is putting their shorts on, but in September, everyone is putting their long pants on, and I see people with sweaters even . Can you imagine that? It makes me smile a bit. Maybe the mirror needed to go, now she thought she was sharing her space and might not like it. Have a blessed day, glad the boys are doing well too
Being in this place where there is so much stimulation, i.e., animals plus her health, seems to be much better than when she arrived. I don't know, just a thought. Love how you take care of all of your animals
Mr. Jason, mold can ruin seeds; they have to be taken off the pod heads, or they will mold. The stem pod holds moisture much longer than the seeds do, so they have to be separated and removed. AND - a lot of the seeds gathered simply do not germinate, but again, moisture and mold is the enemy ! ALWAYS LEARNING, RIGHT ? Blessings, Grace and Peace to all.
I love Holly. She is so smart. My granddaughter has one almost just like Holly, and she is definitely one of the family. She loves going to all holiday events with the family. Everyone loves her, and she loves getting hugs and kisses. Her name is Belle.

I love that your going to create a wild flower pasture, in England we can buy wild flower bombs as they are called or (bee bombs) full of a mixture of every wild flower from our land. We have started doing this to support our bees during that winter/spring time. There is nothing more beautiful than a patch of ground covered in wild poppies, cornflour’s buttercups, daisies etc etc a great start for the bees when winter has shut down growth. I love your ethos towards nature ❤️

Take them out of pods, dry for at least 4 days then put in paper, can layer ,then in envelope or box ...

I had to take care of two blind dogs of my mom who passed away. They definitely react and interact with their surroundings and their heard, flock and or batch differently than 'normal, non-disabled' siblings. Their positioning and authority in the hierarchy is very different and have a definitive effect on how they act and react to their surroundings, other animals and their human caregivers.

When Jason mentioned needing a safer environment for beautiful Snow White I immediately recalled the small green structure he mentioned in a recent video. Maybe that could be the start of her own private aviary. Maybe it could be setup adjacent to other compatible animals - I have no idea who that might be. Maybe sharing a wall with or adjacent to the large, existing aviary or adjacent to Scott's area. The existing green structure should be large enough for Snow White and whatever fortunate creature you decide to be her bestie. Although it was concerning when she was roaming the property I also believe it was a display of strength, determination and focus. Thee bird you first received was skittish and seemed fragile. The mirror served a wonderful purpose. Snow White became a fierce explorer. She was brave and strong enough to exit her stall - albeit not gracefully it was indeed a big accomplishment. Her confidence has increased considerably. (Oh how I wish you could locate a duck egg almost ready to hatch and sneak it in her stall. Of course that's always 'easier said than done!'.)
A baby pheasant would Be a better companion.
All the critters have things you may need to address to keep all happy! It’s good you pay attention! My Nana once had a canary that she gave a mirror to & it would sit nestled up to the mirror all day! Stopped singing and would just sit there all day! She removed the mirror & it went back to its happy, songful self! Crazy how they react sometimes…
Be sure and spread out the seeds to dry. If you leave them in a bag they will get moldy. That's what I'm doing right now. Seperating and storing my flower seeds!
Snow White you need to stay safe sweetie. You have the best family to call your own. Holly you have fun with dad. My belated dog Max loved playing with his ChuckIt ball.
My Doberman, Lily LOVES her Chuckit ball and Chuckit stick too! It's her favorite of all her toys!
