Great stuff! Looks a lot like triple-step East Coast Swing (in the USA). Boogie Woogie is so fun because it moves so fast which can be intimidating to some. You guys take the intimidation out of it...thanks.
Thank you for showing us how it looks from behind! It would be really hard for me to follow without it. PS. Thanks for uploading your lessons in English. It's so inspiring to me as a non-native speaker!
1) This useful for solo parts, but to co ordinate the Co operatiion between partners in.leading + following which requires partners + teachers. 2) Historical development Early 1920d Charleston Mid e 20s now called Lindy Charleston Late 1920s Lindy Hop 1930s derivations Lindy Swing, Smooth Lindy etc. St. Louis St. Shag Collegiate Shag 1940s ?? They are all related, often borrow steos. etc. from each other--- for example. most use basic step.thythm slow slow quick.quick reverse of boogie woogie, which came later in 1940s? There is a whole family of similar overlapping dances To.learn----great!! amazing!!
This is wonderful! I LOVE the look of the dance but I could never figure out what exactly they were doing. Thank you for the slowed-down explanation and several repetitions before you speeded up, very useful for those of us who are not very coordinated.
I’m still practicing and still trying my “rock step plus the boogie “ step is a bit “jurky “ yet. Do not forget I’m 90 , but that will not stop me. L from Canada😊 8:45
I want to learn more about boogie woogie. What are the differences between oogie woogie and lindy hop or East coast swing. Thank you for the introduction it's very easy to follow. 👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾
Hey thank you so much! Basically the difference is about the music you use and the groove you apply to the steps and so also changes a little bit the type of connection 😁 but eventually they are all the same steps 😁
A really Great #1 Video...👍👍👍.....A very informative and easy to follow lesson ~ just right to get the dancing weekend started! 😍😍😍....Have a fantastic new week and I am looking forward to more of your professional videos ~ 👏👏👏
Hi and thank you! May you also help me in this: would you know if in this video, Leroy and the dancers beyond him are actually drawing from bougie steps? Could you break down some bits of the choreography? Many many thanks 🙏🏼
So nice to hear your voices and I love the small italian "e" in the end of words Dimitri speaks. But: Now I have no longer an excuse for my wife not to learn this dance. You got me a lot of work, guys. So... thank you, I guess. :D
