Great 3-part series. Compulsory viewing for all those looking to lower their handicap. One piece of advice I wish I had before my last competition round was don’t aim where a straight shot will land you in trouble’. I’d been pushing my hybrid every time on the earlier holes, so decided to aim for a water hazard to put me nicely on the green. Guess what!

I could listen to Clive for ever. Cheerful, insightful and full of resources. I've been playing for 25 years, and this video series was full of usefull content. Thanks Clive and Neil !

Really good series. Clive offers up some really good advice and plays to it (he’s bloody unlucky across the series with bounces).

Really good series. Amazing how more people aren't viewing something that really help your game.

Couldn't agree more. This is very useful.

Ditto. With my group, so many strokes wasted because they aren't thought through, but the biggest mistake I see us all making is not lining our feet up where we think we are.

I've really enjoyed this series as well, and hope that you do more of them. I find that there's little titbits or gems of information that really can help. I've never thought of the 'zero line', or entry point versus line putting, but it makes such sense. Great stuff!

I am really enjoying the series. Excellent advice from Clive and good follow up questions. I would definitely love to have a playing lesson with the kind insight provided in this series. Thanks for this gem.

This is an exceptionally good series of videos and I’ve enjoyed Clive’s input more than I’ve enjoyed many others on similar topics. Thank you.

Thanks Steven - for what it is worth, Clive is an excellent coach who communicates his ideas slightly differently to other coaches. He also has a very good, dry sense of humour! We will get him back on the channel soon!

In lots of bunkers, thought strategy is to miss them to make game easy

Im like Neil, I like to smash it!!! I play to a 9.9 (but i have only played 19 rounds so far) I hit my first Albatross (double eagle?) on Sep 8th on a 485 yard par 5.. I hit my tee shot around 270ish off to the right (dog leg left) and had 211 to the pin. I hit a 3 hybrid right at the pin and it bounced twice and dropped into the hole :) I may have to try your strategy to see if I can lower my handicap

  • @jamiesloan7259

I’ve watched all 3 strategy videos, and I disagree for the most part. I always take my chances at going at the pins(under 160). You need birdies, to score well. Period. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t flirt with major trouble, but a short side bogie, is easier to swallow, than purposely not hitting it close, and 3 putting for bogie. Just sayin…. Besides, the 2 funnest shots in golf are the long straight drive, and an iron stuck next to the pin. lol

Blabbering for 5 minutes on how to lay up on a par 5? Hence the word lay up. Hell that is the widest fairway I ever seen if I go driver I personally have 70% chance reaching in 2. Video should be called how to overthink a lay up.
