I remember when Covid was just starting and we had to tell the kids at the daycare I work at to sing happy birthday while washing their hands so they could clean them long enough.
As an Irish person, lemme explain. Our lockdown has a level system (1-5). 1 meaning pretty much back to normal, 2 slightly less normal, 3 we're kinda slightly locked down, 4 we're fairly close to actually being locked down and level 5 is full lockdown. We were in level 5 lockdown (so basically everything closed except for essential, including the schools) from March to around June/July. Then, slowly, we went from level 5 to level 1 (basically everything reopened). Level 1 lasted July-September. Then, due to the health emergency committee recommending we go back to level 5, the government decided to put us into level 3 (some thing closed such as pubs, but a lot of things such as hairdressers were still open). Then, the government's realised they fucked up and that they should've just gone straight to 5 instead of 3. So now, we're back to level 5. We've been in level 5 for about a week. Even though, this lockdown they decided to leave the schools open lol.
I’m English and we were tasted freedom for a short while *sharp inhale* but alas, boris has decided that opening our pubs and letting our resident alcoholics satisfy their needs wasnt such a fantastic idea and he’s decided to quarantine us again.

While it does suck to be in lockdown, people have managed to find ways to overcome obstacles that changed their lives, like seeing their families again, or working productively. More importantly, if they don't focus on negativity, they can even find a cure to it,. like polio!

Even during lockdown my life hasnt changed much since I'm an "essential worker". XD I cant imagine having to stay at home for months on end without being able to go outside.

I think now that the first relief bill that was passed has ended I'm back to making more a week than them but if the second one ever passes I might just have to become unemployed! /s

In Germany lockdown #2 starts tomorrow. They call it "lockdown light" as grocery shops, clothing shops, hair salons, pharmacies, etc. are still open and you are still allowed to leave your house. Meeting other people is constricted though. And places like tattoo shops, massage studios, restaurants and cafés, gyms, theatres or cinemas are closed.
I am pregnant and because of that I have been isolating the last months. My husband still works and I start to worry that the baby is more familar with your voice than his😅 Anyway, thanks for keeping me sane in this trying times♥️
