Another great video!!! Love your Acorn Stitches and I'm so glad you showed all the specialty stitches. I had no idea they were so involved! Thanks for the shoutout and I'm so glad you are thinking of joining us for the Village SAL. You are right, those blocks are deceptively stitch intensive! Love your Halloween mandala too although that rayon thread sounds like a nightmare. Much more a trick than a treat!!
Yes, the rayon thread is a definitely more trick than treat, I'm so glad I'm almost done with the bulk of it now though, only half a cat left to stitch!!
I'm so glad you stopped by. i enjoy seeing what all your working on....... til our next visit........ GOD BLESS,HAPPY STITCHING......... happy thanksgiving
Your acorn finish is wonderful! I've added MH The Ravens to my future halloween stitches. Great haul, enjoy your long weekend and happy thanksgiving. Dianne, Calgary.
Hi Jenn, gorgeous finish on Acorns and it looked like a fun project too with all the specialty stitches. I look forward to seeing your start on Vintage!
Thank you Stephanie! It will be a while before I start Vintage, but now I kind of know what to expect from Jeannette's patterns. The variety of threads was rally enjoyable, their were a couple I had never even heard of before.
I don't know how I missed this video... I bought the PS Alphabet for the same reason! Haha. I had found it as one set on eBay last year some time. It sits in my stash...waiting. Thanks for the shout out! I have a rough hand drawn sketch of what I changed if you want it. I think I scanned it in. And they ARE deceptively large. My first thought was one a month. It takes me at least two weeks to stitch one. I felt like I neglecting all my other WIPs, hence why I'm over a year started and only on block 6. :) Loved seeing your haul and glad to enable!!
I know how you feel, the amount of stash I've accumulated since I started watching flosstube...it's unreal! I gave myself a $25 budget, so at least if I have the urge to have a new start I can hopefully buy the threads/ fabric that I could potentially need. I would really like to start the Hawk run Hollow piece next year and I just got The Rampant Cats Sampler that Michelle showed off that I NEED to start next year as well! I'm also hoping to make some progress on some full coverage pieces that Stephanie has agreed to give extra money for page finishes to. You should really consider joining, after all it's only for the first 6 months of the year so you could save your money and then go crazy in July :-) BTW I would love to have a copy of the changes you made to Hawk run Hollow if your willing to send them to me! Thank you again for watching and commenting!
I LOVE you!!! And your videos, your projects. . . everything you are working on is so cool. I love everything! The Halloween Chatelaine is amaze. Acorn piece is freakin' gorg. More of everything please c:
Wow your acorn stitches turned out awesome. I enjoyed your stash as well!! All those flosses!! 😍😍😍😍 hope your having an awesome weekend... Happy Thanksgiving and happy stitching!!
Thank you! I really enjoyed the surprise I got from the mystery bits, I'm actually thinking of signing up for their monthly floss, I think it would be a great way to build up my thread and get a variety, as I always seem to pick out the same or similar colors. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends!
Awesome update. Your acorn finish is beautiful! You did an awesome job with it. Great stash acquisition too. I am stitching the prairie schooler alphabet and it really look good when it is done :)
Congratulations with your acorn stitches finish! It's fantastic! And you've got very beautiful haul. I think I will hold you accountable (just kidding) for my future stashquisitions ;)
My son, who is now 26, was really small when he was born. We referred to him as the little buzz. Buzz as a nickname stuck, so I have a thing for bees too.
That's such a cute nickname, it's nice that it stuck all these year. I have tonnes of bee charts in my stash, I just need to decide on one and stitch it!
Your acorn piece has AMAZING detail! Your haul was amazing only ridiculous because it was all beautiful. I love Barbara Ana and am currently stitching up all 5 charts in the A New World Series. Love your videos :)
Your videos are wonderful. Acorn Stitch is beautiful and I am coveting it!! I may give in. I also have recently acquire the Prairie Schooler Alphabet Sampler but am not starting it until after the New Year. I am anxious to see how you choose to do it as I think your choices are always the best.
Thank you! You should definitely try a Jeannette Douglas chart if you haven't, her instructions were very clear and not two many specialty stitches if your not familiar with them. It was definitely not as intimidating as my first Chatelaine :-)
Please let us know what fabric you decide to choose for your other Mill Hill on. I to hate stitching on the perforated paper. My stitches look terrible. Always love your fabric choices X
Thank you! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that despises the paper, I can see where it would be beneficial for smaller ornament type projects, but not a project this size
Love your Black Cat Chatelaine and the Acorn stitch. They are so beautiful! When you do a chart like the Acorn one, do they give you instructions on how to do all those specialty stitches, or do they expect you to know how? Thanks.
Yes, for both my Chatelaine and the Acorn Stitches, the instructions for the specialty stitches are very clear with diagrams. Another designer I really like is Abi from Bee's needleworks www.beesneedleworks.co.uk/ I have her Great Escape Chart, which I really need to stitch sooner than later, it has 28 pages of specialty stitch instructions and diagrams which are some of the best I've seen in any pattern :-)
Thanks. That is reassuring. Someday I will take the plunge and do one of these more complicated patterns. Ironically, the first pattern I ever did had a few specialty stitches, but that was 20 years ago! :)
I've seen it all stitched on one piece of fabric and it looks awesome, unfortunately I have no plans in the near future to start it, but maybe one day....
love your projects!! can you tell me about your needleminders? I'm back at stitching after a 5 year or so break and am just loving all the needle minders everyone is showing! thanks so much :)
Thank you. I get most of my needleminders from Gina's Unique Boutique she has both and etsy shop www.etsy.com/ca/shop/GinasUniqueBoutique and a facebook page facebook.com/Ginas-Unique-Boutique-1420966668145149/ Glad to hear your stitching bug came back, a lot has changed with this hobby over the last couple years, definitely more variety and more tools, I love it!
miskacat1 thanks so so much! Will be ordering some needleminders today 😅 it's amazing how much has changed! So sad that HDF is gone! Looking forward to rediscovering the stitchie world ❤️
Carissa Brummet I totally agree, I actually have a HAED kitted up in HDF Silks. It really is a shame that we've lost some good companies, Supar Maple fabrics is another that I miss.
The acorn close-up part was AMAZING!!!! Absolutely gorgeous stitching!!
Thanks, It's much more difficult to film, point and read my pattern than I originally though. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. Happy stitching!
Your acorn stitch is beautiful....so much detail. Well done! Great to see you back again with another video. Love your haul!
Thank you! :-)

What a superlovely finish! Very pretty, thank you for the close-up video. :)
I glad you enjoyed the video, It was a lot harder than I thought it would be to record from that angle! Thanks for watching :-)

Great video. I love your progress xx
Thanks Kate, I'm really enjoying this SAL so far, and I'm even more amazed that I'm actually keeping up :-)
Awesome update. Your acorn finish is beautiful! You did an awesome job with it. Great stash acquisition too. I am stitching the prairie schooler alphabet and it really look good when it is done :)
Thanks Orietta! i was thinking of stitching the alphabet and then turning it into a quilt, but that is a thought way out of its league for now!
Congratulations with your acorn stitches finish! It's fantastic! And you've got very beautiful haul. I think I will hold you accountable (just kidding) for my future stashquisitions ;)
Thank you! You are more than welcome to hold me accountable for your stashquisitions! Lol :-D
Lovely job on Acorn Stitch.
Thank you Pam!
thanks for the detailed video on your finish, it looks beautiful!
Thank you! I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

Thank you! I was seriously contemplating ordering the New World Series, but so far I have managed to resist. Thanks for watching :-)
Well, if you do...I have started a SAL for it on Facebook.
Thanks, I'll make sure I join if I decide to start it :-)

with the Mill Hill, flip the paper and the chart 180deg. You'll find your stitches lay the same.
That's a fantastic idea, Thanks for sharing your tip!
Please let us know what fabric you decide to choose for your other Mill Hill on. I to hate stitching on the perforated paper. My stitches look terrible. Always love your fabric choices X
