I love how varied your collection is both in brand and color! I am hunting for the Kaweco Sport AL golden espresso. It's beautiful. If you ever want to part with it, I am willing to buy it I did manage to track down a Jade Eco a few weeks ago and I am embarrassed by the price I paid on eBay but I just had to have it. My favorite is definitely my Pilot Custom 823 Amber hands down could use it every single day. As far as cases, check out Galen leather. They have some nice cases. I've gotten a couple and have told myself I can't buy pens that don't fit into my current storage so I gave away 7 pens to my friends a couple of weeks ago to make room for the holiday pen buying shenanighans LOL. I plan to continue curating my collecting in 2025 and getting it down to my absolute favorite and most used!
The jade Eco was a great find! And I’m never giving my golden espresso up 😂 I do have a couple of Galen cases. I was just looking at their 20-pen case but I wasn’t too thrilled about any of the colors.
Love the collection! One day I need to try the 3776...lol. Something always comes up so I spend the allowance somewhere else. I just purchased the 2024 Pilot VP Preorder so I have to wait on the 3776 again.
The 3776 in extra fine is my absolute favorite. I’m interested to try the UEF nib also. That celluloid is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your collection.
Thanks Angella! I think I much prefer the EF over the UEF, but it’s still a great pen. I think the thinner nib just requires me to be more conscious of the paper I use it on.
I love the kaweco sport! Not ready to venture out yet. I tried the jinhao x159 and I really didn’t like it. The nib would dry out as if it wouldn’t cap properly and it felt so big in my hand. My current favorite is the brass kaweco sport and the steel is the runner up.
Thanks for sharing, it's always fun to see the collection of other fountain pen enthusiasts. I'm kind of hoping that when you publish the next update you will have tried something from Edison Pens, which is my favorite brand. If you like heavier pens perhaps you'd enjoy one of the fountain pens from Retro51. Best wishes. 🙂
I know you've recommended Edison Pens in the past. Once I get out of this pen no-spend I've put myself on, I'll definitely have to check them out. Thanks Steve!
Really enjoyed this video and went back to see a few others of yours using fountain pens/ink. Have always had a fascination with them and their history and was gifted a really nice fountain pen about 20 years ago that I have only used once. That being said, being a Southpaw I found that unfortunately when writing I would drag the ink across the page causing a mess along with skipping. You are a lefty too and have mastered writing with them, what tips can you provide. TFS
Thanks for watching Angie! I’ve certainly had to practice a lot in order to use fountain pens as a lefty. I’ve tried a few things like extending my ring finger so it doesn’t drag across the ink or changing the direction of the paper to prevent smearing over what I’ve just written. But honestly the easiest thing for me was to just change my grip. So now when I use fountain pens, I hold them with a tripod grip (the way I was taught as a child). That positions my hand underneath what I’m writing so smearing the ink isn’t a concern. I do still use my regular lefty side grip where I wrap my thumb around the pen when I’m using anything other than fountain pens. It certainly took a while to get used to the tripod grip but now my handwriting looks pretty consistent no matter which grip I use.
@@MartinMadeCo Thank you so much much those tips. Noticed how you were holding the pen in that tripod grip. Holding your hand slightly raised above the barrel. I've always turned my paper at a 30-45 degree angle. I can't find that pen (lol) but may purchase one to practice with. Maybe the Pilot. Thank you again.
What’s your favorite pen in your collection right now?
Twsbi Iris is my favourite too! My Curidas is very difficult to get the spring in the right place.
Yes, that's another of the common complaints I hear about the Curidas. It's worth the struggle, though 😆

I agree about the VP matte black - it’s my favorite pen too! Great collection and video. Thanks.
Thanks for watching Fran! ☺️

That 2024 VP is beautiful! 😍 If it came with gold hardware, I definitely would not have been able to resist.
Wow! What a gorgeous collection! One day, I will hunt down that Evergreen Estie!
Thank you Marjorie!

You are so funny...I bought the Benu Sangria for the color. It doesn't even write well...I can totally relate to you. Rachelle in Seattle
😆 Maybe we all have at least one of those "what was I thinking?" pens in our collections!
This video is a treat!
Thanks Rachel! Are you ready to add some to your collection? 🤭
Omgosh that Kaweco Golden Espresso is my grail pen 😍😍😍 gorgeous collections!
Thank you so much! The golden expresso is one of the pens I will never let go of 🥰
@@MartinMadeCo I wouldn’t either 😍 such a treasure!!

I still have yet to try any jinhao pens…I’m trying to show some restraint 😆 The brass Kaweco Sport is a great one for any collection!
You can buy new nibs for the lamy. It's affordable.
That's something I hadn't considered. Thanks for the idea!

I love my TWISBI’s - I do enjoy a medium or wider nib for titles but otherwise I’m a fine/xfine girl

Martin, please if you don’t like the Golden expresso sell it to me, pleaseeee!
I actually love the Golden Espresso so it's not going anywhere! 🥰
@@MartinMadeCo I don’t blame you!! 😘
