I have this bike and I have done about 1200kms. 8:16 You see only two riding modes when the bike is moving. Basically it won't allow you switch the ABS off when the bike is being ridden. So the riding modes you've seen would be Eco w ABS on and Performance w ABS on. 8:44 That's basically the "auto" brightness feature like the one you have in your phone. Probably because you are standing under trees, the ambient light intensity keeps changing and the display is trying to adjust to that. 13:34 My mirrors don't definitely move out like that. I've done 140kmph multiple times and I haven't had that issue. Maybe the mirrors are not tightened enough or came loose after a fall? 25:44 Very true. Although I don't think H450 will have any catastrophic issues as the H411 first versions had (simply because H450 was test ridden by RE for about 2 years), you will have to be ready to take a bike to the service centre. They had to replace my entire tank (for free under manufacturer warranty) because there was a slight plane gap between the tank and a plastic piece. I have to appreciate the proactiveness the service team took though.
@@thomasnuovo There is plastic piece to protect the "underside" of the tank from dust and water. It is screwed on to the top of the tank. Look near the fuel cap. So in the center it's screwed on but for the other two ends, it's just clipped onto the tank. In my case that clip is slightly in a different place and because of this when mounted there's a gap. You don't have to worry though. It is a one off issue. Just inspect yours when you do the PDI.

Very nice review bro. Expected nothing less. As you mentioned, cone set issue is there even in my 10yrs old RE TB 500. So, I think getting this problem in a off-road oriented bike is gonna be a pain in the a**.

As an owner the bike is a massaging machine and I’m facing issues with more false neutral, lag while throttling, a bit hard to manoeuvre in bumper to bumper traffic. Pinnaeee mileage nik average 23 ( first service kayinjittilla). A great review on it. Approved by an owner. 😂
Kurach observations from my 500kms: Vibrations: most prominent at 4.7k rpm (95 in 6th gear) after which it decreases. Bike is very smooth from 2k to 4k rpm. It becomes smoother after 5k and after 6k (~120) the vibrations become unnoticeable with gloves. Bike has power throughout the rev range (post 2,5k rpm). Just wring the throttle and it shoots forward. Low end: little scene aan. 70 in 6th gear, bike does not feel happy, I downshift to 5th. Less than 15 in 1st gear, bike has power, but the knocking makes you feel like feathering the clutch. City use: you didn't talk about heating. In heavy traffic, the right side heats up quite a bit. Your legs will get very warm. Also have to use the clutch quite a bit in traffic, but clutch is medium, so usable. This bike has made me use the metro to commute. I'm 5'4, so parking the bike, moving it without starting etc is a chore. Bike is well balanced in low speeds. Pakshe nalla shoes illel risky aanu. Dropped it cuz my shoes slipped. Easy to pick up. RE engine guard is really good (4.5k rs)

In my house, we have a Unicorn, and I can confidently ride it. One day, without his knowledge, I took the bike and went to Lulu, around 20 km away from home, with my brother. It was a casual ride, and we enjoyed it. However, even after that, my father repeated the same dialogue, and it hurts like hell."
Thoughts after 1000 km as a user. Very capable Machine both on highways & Offroad trails, if you are considering buying only for city use, I recommend to stay away and go for alternatives. Continuous Downshifts required to keep up in city traffic since there is no power in lower rpm ranges. Headlight is too poor. A solid bike in high speed environments. Bite of the breaks are top notch. Power and throttle response almost everywhere after 4000 rpm. Fun to ride,if asked to sum up the experience. For people considering the bike, i suggest to take a test ride on highway,city as well as patchy roads.

Vandi eduthitt 1.5 months aayi. 4000KM aavunnu. As you said, first 1000KM vand manage cheyyan kurach difficult aayirunnu. Rolling out from garage, center stand, traffic flicking etc. Oru 2K kilometer kazhinj kodaikanal oru trip poyi... Oh man , that was amazing. Vandiyude capability appozhanu sherikkum manasilayath. Corner, bad roads, highways ellam poli. With pillion and about 15kg luggage 120-140 cruise cheyth, kodaikanal corners okke puttu lole eduth , it was a memorable ride. Oru 3500 KM kazhinjappo vandi aayi full set. Traffic flicking okke valare easy aayi, it was really fun to ride in city. Bakki ellavarum slow aya feel. I love to ride at high revs, so never felt the low end torque issue. It's an absolute "send it" machine. Also as an add on ZERO issues till now.

My friend and I ,both 46 years old, both riding CBR 250R( mine 13 years old) went out n checked Himalayan yesterday..came out too impressed with what a mean machine CBR is.. As this video portrays,I stalled it in first gear and had to cross check if it was in 2nd or 3rd gear even if console was displaying 1 gear. Such was the torque deficiency. The tractability and vibration above 5k on foot peg and under seat were unbearable. 3rd gear has a nice linear pull but vibration spoils the party. Be ready for frequent gear shifts..in second gear,it feels like there's a "turbo lag" for couple of seconds before it starts picking pace. My left hand went for a toss after riding 5kms in Bangalore.
This is a perspective issue. If you were riding the older himalayan or a modern short stroke like the ktms you would have been impressed by how refined the himalayan is. I too was like this a couple years ago (coming from an fz v3), but riding several vastly different bikes extensively has shifted my perspective on what refinement is to be expected at this range. Bro, got the same feelings when i took the testride 😅. I didn't get that feel of 40nm torque in my whole ride. Also mentioning the tappet noise and vibration ( handlebars, mirrors, footpegs and fuel tank🫡). And you know what the surprising part is,the same day i also rode the HD X440 and man i'm in love with that 440c engine more than the sherpa😁. Hate/love the design, that hero/harley engine has enough torque and refinemnent that'll surprise anyone the moment they start riding it.😊

Yes, Royal Enfield has done a wonderful job in creating this bike. Still, If I had to get this bike, I would wait for the updated version after fixing all of the initial issues. On further note, I guess Dominar 400 bs6 is still a wonderful bike for touring with all the touring accessories available as standard. What is your take on this? Is Dominar still relevant in 2024? Very capable Machine both on highways & Offroad trails, if you are considering buying only for city use, I recommend to stay away and go for alternatives.
Continuous Downshifts required to keep up in city traffic since there is no power in lower rpm ranges.
Headlight is too poor.
A solid bike in high speed environments.
Bite of the breaks are top notch.
Power and throttle response almost everywhere after 4000 rpm.
Fun to ride,if asked to sum up the experience.
For people considering the bike, i suggest to take a test ride on highway,city as well as patchy roads.

Corner, bad roads, highways ellam poli. With pillion and about 15kg luggage 120-140 cruise cheyth, kodaikanal corners okke puttu lole eduth , it was a memorable ride. Oru 3500 KM kazhinjappo vandi aayi full set. Traffic flicking okke valare easy aayi, it was really fun to ride in city. Bakki ellavarum slow aya feel. I love to ride at high revs, so never felt the low end torque issue. It's an absolute "send it" machine. Also as an add on ZERO issues till now.

My friend and I ,both 46 years old, both riding CBR 250R( mine 13 years old) went out n checked Himalayan yesterday..came out too impressed with what a mean machine CBR is..
As this video portrays,I stalled it in first gear and had to cross check if it was in 2nd or 3rd gear even if console was displaying 1 gear. Such was the torque deficiency. The tractability and vibration above 5k on foot peg and under seat were unbearable.
3rd gear has a nice linear pull but vibration spoils the party. Be ready for frequent gear shifts..in second gear,it feels like there's a "turbo lag" for couple of seconds before it starts picking pace. My left hand went for a toss after riding 5kms in Bangalore.
This is a perspective issue. If you were riding the older himalayan or a modern short stroke like the ktms you would have been impressed by how refined the himalayan is.
I too was like this a couple years ago (coming from an fz v3), but riding several vastly different bikes extensively has shifted my perspective on what refinement is to be expected at this range. And you know what the surprising part is,the same day i also rode the HD X440 and man i'm in love with that 440c engine more than the sherpa😁.

Yes, Royal Enfield has done a wonderful job in creating this bike. Still, If I had to get this bike, I would wait for the updated version after fixing all of the initial issues.
