Nietzsche said Emerson was his "twin soul" and you can definitely see the same spirit emanating in both their work, though Nietzsche was Emersons soul at war lol
Hi Mr. John. I'm learning english. I was looking for a good book that I colud hear and practice my listening, writting and speaking. Your book is that book and I have to say THANKS is so difficult find people who love poetry and philosophy at the same time. Thanks a lot. "The prosperous and beautiful To me seem not to wear The yoke of conscience masterful, Which galls me everywhere." -Emerson,
You picked a great choice. The author of the original audio recording is by Bob Neufeld, you can find all his audio book recordings at librivox.org for free download. I love his work too. I have a question for you. Was your quote by emersom from this essay(history) or another?
If anyone reads this.. What do you think about the suggestion that Gilgamesh represents the "mapped territory" (from Peterson, I know he's controversial but to be fair he coined that term and its good) and the Understanding faculty and so on, and Enkidu being the "Sea of Meaning" r "dancing star" of Nietzsches and the chaotic revelatory truths that hit us hard and take a while to assimilate into our understanding.. Cause Enkidu comes from the Wild ,and proclaims that he will change the order, and he is the strongest force.. And then they struggle together toward some overarching thing, Gilgamesh learns what he must and Enkidu perishes away.. Does anyone know wtf Im talking about or am I on my own lmaoo
Thank you !!!! Love all Emerson’s writings .
This is one of the best things that have ever been written by anybody
Man is a broken giant;
But still he is his own star.

We are all of that and more.
