I cant find reactions to their album radical anywhere and it drives me crazy... why is there not more appreciation for that album? It has been my anthem for the last 2 years. Anyway, I really enjoyed this reaction. Love what I'm hearing on this project so far.
I like how you noted the space for Keith's lyrics. That was the most well-known proponent of ETID imo. And he is clearly sending everyone a message about where he's at and what went down with these lyrics.
This gave me big AWOL vibes from the last ETID album, in a good way. Agree with Nath that Keith was naturally progressing as a clean vocalist, too, and am happy to hear it here. Welcome to the scene, Many Eyes. Can’t wait to hear more!!
If I close my eyes and forget (even for a moment) what happened with ETID I can easily be convinced that it’s them. And I mean that in the best way possible, with Keith having a really specific voice it’s hard not to see the connection. I’m glad he did what he can do best (musically) and I’m looking forward to more 🤘🏻
I think you guys should check out this band called elijah. They're a punk rock band from my hometown making it big, they did a song w Matty Mullins called Human that's blowing up rn, although my favorite one is Easy to Drown! Great reaction
I've been waiting for this review! I absolutely loved this track and I loved this direction more than Better Lovers. Don't get me wrong though, Better Lovers was outstanding and I'm completely here for it! Looking forward to more reviews.
Reminds me of earlier/mid ETID - a la Big Dirty/New Junk Aesthetic days - when the riffs were less complicated and the song structure was less mathematical. I agree with the reviewers here that it allows Keith's vocals to shine due to the extra space. That being said, I do wish there were a few more change ups during the song. The chorus in particular could have included some variations. Overall I'm really impressed and it's so great to hear Keith again. Can't wait for the LP.
I get a little Deftones vibes during the chorus. I love it. Better Lovers is dope but I’m feeling Many Eyes much more. I keep seeing “Diet ETID” or “ETID Lite”. Fuck that. This song slaps and holds its own. Can’t wait to hear more. ETID is one of my all time favorite bands but I am super looking forward to Many Eyes.

LOVE THIS! I always liked ETID but they were never my favourite band. Ended up becoming friends with Andy Williams. But this blew me away! Cant wait to hear more
I absolutely love it. I mean, the moment he announced his new band, I knew they'd be spectacular. Cannot wait to hear more. And I love the Alejandro Jodorowsky inspired imagery. It's great to hear that relationships are being mended behind the scenes. Big ups to everyone involved. As much as I love ETID, pretty cool we now have two bands that are both spectacular in that of Better Lovers and this.
I’m very curious to hear more. I’m torn because I love the music Jordan and the other dudes from ETID make, but I’m not a fan of the guy from dilinger, but I still enjoy the music to an extent. I’ll always love Keith’s voice though, so I’m interested to see how that all comes together.
Thank you for saying this, each ETID album eclipsed the last and Radical was an 11/10. I’ve enjoyed the stuff from Better Lovers and Keith so far but I still can’t get over the ETID breakup.
I think I prefer Better Lovers. Not a fan of the chorus. Overall I liked it more than I was expecting. Glad it wasn’t Damned Things 2.0 Can’t wait to see what Andy and Rat Boy are doing. 3 bands out of one break up!

That chorus gives me BIG Underoath vibes. especially the harsh vocals. sounds a lot like Spencer

I love this song... one of my fav for the year. Also the visualise is heavily influenced by The Holy Mountain, which I believe that album is as well.

This is what Keith could have done with better bandmates all along. Better Lovers is garbage compared to this.

I think both new bands are just not going to hit as much as I want them to because the last ETID record was imo their best.

I would be down with an Andy and Rat Boy project. I though Better Lovers was garbage. Only good drummer ETID had without RB was Legs
