My Theory While Editing this Lu guang's pw: 091305 (it’s the date: 9/13 12:05AM) is the Date that CHENG XIAOSHI Died. This show is going for "Madoka Magica" and "Steins; Gate" timeline logic.
also a small problem with Joe's Theory. if Lu Quang has got the ability from Dead CHENG XIAOSHI then the 12 hour limit and Lack of Photo around that event would send that Lu Quang back to his timeline. So the same Lu Quang that use CHENG XIAOSHI ability could not be the same Lu Quang as the one that goes back to save him. So Our Lu Quang has CHENG XIAOSHI but no time travel ability while the Dead CHENG XIAOSHI's Lu Quang Has time travel ability.
or Lu Quang's Ability is Different than CHENG XIAOSHI. Cause Lu Quang Didn't Possess himself. He travel all the way back to the Start and Lied that he can see the future while his actual ability be Real Time Travel.

This line got me thinking "I want to use this last chance to go back to THE BEGINNING"
THE BEGINNING got me thinking of When they first meet playing Basket ball. Lu Quang created a Time Paradox.

In episode 2 we can see Lu Guang make a strange face when he heard Cheng Xiaoshi telling his conversation with possessed Qiao Ling (when "she" wanted to steale his power)... Now, we understand that to steal the power, the person who got it has to die !

This show is my favorite of all time ! 😍
At some point in the past timelines, CX dies in LG's hands. His power jumps to LG. Then LG uses that power to go to the beginning, where he first met CX and save him. This whole story, from S1 it was LG changing the past to save CX.
And I figured out smt after watching again. LG says he wants to return to the beginning. Which is definitely where LG met CX. He came out of nowhere when CX was playing basketball. And LG says he STILL wanna use the last chance to save CX. I think this wasn't the only time he's creating a timeline where CX can be saved. In his flashbacks, if you look closely, when CX dies in his hands he sees so many memories. So many frames. In Some frames LG can't even remember who's the person anymore (like in Emma's case) because there're so many memories. And in some, LG is crying and screaming while holding CX body. I think CX has been dying in LG hands all the time. LG was trying to save him all of those times but result was the same. But this time, LG is creating a timeline from the very beginning, where CX is safe, but if CX change that time line too, his efforts would've ended up in vain. So he put a rule not to change the past, not to question the future. This is why he's panicking so much whenever the situation gets out of his hands (when CX went into the photo without LG assistant) and when CX life in danger (when Qian shots CX) he went into rage after CX got shot. I still can't figure out where is the node LG trying to change. Most likely it'd be the ending of S1. I think in every past timeline LG was saved. That could be why he's saying if death can't be avoided he's ready to die. Means CX was the one who died there but this time it's LG. And in the end, I think LG is pretty satisfied with the current timeline because CX is still alive, smiling. Idk if I'm ryt this is just my theory. And every time I think about this I feel so bad for LG. Watching CX die in different ways and failing so many times, yet he's still going back to save him in a loop.

I think it's not that deep, I think the only time CX truly died was from the shot wound, I think LG was controlling Qian Jin to purposely miss the shot on CX, just injuring him, I think that's the case because Qian Jin brought a picture his ex-wife with him and asked CX to jump in the photo, and every single time we have seen QJ, even on flashbacks, he has yellow eyes, and we know eye colors are important in Link Click, and up until now, someone with a yellow is CX ability, and he doesn't have a time limit unlike LG that can only see the future up to 12 hours, CX can be in the past indefinitely, and if LG gained CX ability after he died, it's possible that's what happened.
Edit, I reached, and the scene of CX's death both he and LG were on different clothes, so it must've been a different moment.
What I don’t understand is the transfer of abilities. If LG received the ability from CX after he died in his arms, how did LG go back in time and give that ability to CX
@@Bulsara777 LG can't possess people like CX. He only possessed his past self to create this new timeline. If we talk abt eye colours, it's CX power has golden eyes. LG is blue. Then Qian's eyes should be blue. If Qian was controlled then it only can be future CX. For some reason future CX can be controlling past Qian to keep the timeline like this to prevent something bad happening in the future.

For Donghua recommendation, I liked Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of demonic cultivation).
In S2E1, when Lu Guang got stabbed, we saw for a split second Cheng Xiaoshi's death scene, Lu Guang also accepted his "death" because he thought that would save Cheng Xiaoshi. There are some theories that says the reason Lu Guang apologises to Cheng Xiaoshi is because by saving him, Lu Guang is causing other deaths like officer Chen and Tianxi. Reason for this theory is what Lu Guang said in the earthquake episodes. Something about changing the past can cause other deaths.
Also, technically, since Lu Guang inherited Cheng Xiaoshi's (the one that died) power, he could also go back in time or into the security camera. Which he never showed us he could do.
ALSO, Lu Guang didn't follow the 12 hours limit rule, since he's been here for the longest time. UNLESS! He keeps coming back and forth every single day for the past couple of years.... I can't imagine how he accomplished that tbh.
The 12 hour restriction rule doesnt really exits. if we read CXS power description, there is nowhere written that he has any time restrictions. i think that this 12 hour restriction only exists when CXS and LG combined their powers. So LG doesnt have a limit, he can stay in the picture as long as he likes.

I don't think in our current timeline Lu Guang can go back in time or into the security camera, because he is basically controlling his own past self rn so if he claps he'd be ejected from the photo he used and go back to his real timeline when Cheng Xiaoshi died...
That's why there are theories that he already tried to change the past several times, everytime Cheng Xiaoshi dies Lu Guang went back to this original timeline by clapping and used another photo to try to save him. But of course it's limited by the number of photos he has ! (since they can't use a photo more than once)
I’m pretty sure the 12 hour time limit doesn’t apply to Cheng Xiaoshi’s power, it is only for Lu Guang’s. I think the only reason that Lu Guang set the 12 hour rule for their dives is because that’s as far as he can see, and so he can’t guide Cheng Xiaoshi if he’s there for longer. He likely avoids having their dives go past that time out of fear that Cheng Xiaoshi might get into danger and he would have no control over it. I think if they went past the time limit, it would be similar to what happened in the dive into Li Tianxi’s past where they had a “bad connection”, likely caused by Lu Guang’s powers being unstable due to his injury.
@@user-cx2nu1yt2m But no? In season 1 during the kid's kidnap resolution episode, Cheng Xiaoshi literally ran out of time so he pulled a "I'm your ancestor" before getting sent back to his own time. So the time limit apply to them both.

I think Xixi abilities were transfered to Qiao Ling and since she was touching Xixi, she saw all her memories. Also they showed that when Cheng Xiaoxi died, Lu Guang was holding him so probably that's when Lu Guang got Cheng Xiaoxi's powers. Also I think the brother of Liu Min has some powers that's why he was talking about parallel lines. Season 3 is gonna be wild.
I think you're absolutely right when you said the power transfers to someone they are touching at the moment of their death, and since Lu Guang was holding Cheng Xiaoshi when he died in an alternate universe he now also has THAT Cheng Xiaoshi's power to travel back

I might be wrong, but isnt lu guang a lil bit unusually attach to cheng xiao shi? We can compare between lu guang attitute toward cheng xiao shi, and cheng xiao shi's toward lu guang, and see the difference.
Cheng xiao shi treat lu guang just like how every person would treat his "only one in the entire life" best bro in the world, but the only thing we know about lu guang's attitute is that he initiately become friends with cheng xiao shi because of his "inoccence", yet his attachment is way more extreme compared to cheng xiao shi, even go as far as let himself become the subtitute despite not knowing why the kipnappers wanted cheng xiao shi, or risk altering the entire timeline to save cheng xiao shi, something that even the rulebreaker cheng xiao shi hesitate to do.
It is as if, the "time" that lu guang knew about cheng xiao shi is way longer than just "from university", it is as if this is not the first time lu guang went to the past to change cheng xiao shi's fate.
I really want to know what CXS did for LG that make LG cares about him so much, to the point of willing to throw his entire future away, broke his own rules, leave QL alone (and assuming his own family) in every timeline just to save CXS.
I also agree this might not be the first time (he also mentioned "last chance") LG went back to save CXS. His lifeless eyes at the end, he didn't hesitate to dive. Wonder what will happen if he fail this time too.

@@taiyous529 i have a theory that LG may have met CXS wayy before CXS knows about him. Probably in a alternative timeline, or even in the past life, since every interaction that we knows between them are all from CXS point of view, not LG's.
If LG's bond for CXS is way longer and stronger that what CXS is aware of, that would explain the difference in how they treat each other.
My theory is that Lu Guang is so attached, often putting Cheng Xiaoshi’s safety over his own, because he feels guilty for Cheng Xiaoshi’s death in some way. It might just be that he feels like he didn’t do enough to save him- like in a “if only I had gotten there earlier” or something type way- OR my main theory is that Lu Guang was the one originally destined to die, and his attempt to save Cheng Xiaoshi now is his way of “setting things right”. Now whether this is from Cheng Xiaoshi going back and altering time to save Lu Guang (much like what Lu Guang is doing now to save him) or simply something like pushing Lu Guang out of harms way to take a hit instead, I can’t say for sure. In general, I think they’re naturally close- their relationship is genuine and wasn’t JUST a result of Lu Guang’s meddling with time, but I DO think that there is something deeper to Lu Guang’s almost obsession with protecting him besides just “oh they’re just really good friends, of course he’d go back to save him”. With how often the “death can’t be changed” and “leave the past alone” rules come up, there has to be some bigger reason to why Lu Guang is ignoring ALL OF THE RULES HE SET THROUGHOUT THE SERIES- which is why I think he feels guilty about Cheng Xiaoshi’s death.

My theory is that the ending shows that cheng xiaoshi was supposed to die from that gunshot instead of only being injured, so lu guang changed the past. And the ED shows Qiao Ling watching the boys moving through the building hinting that maybe she got the powers from xixi after her death.
I feel so bad for Li Tianchen, Li Tianxi and Liu Lan.

In my theory, the cheng xiaoshi actually died at the end of s1. since we see cheng xiaoshi in his old outfit. It also makes sense when we think about lu guang's reaction in ep 3, where he looks scared as shit when cheng xiaoshi told him that li tianchen wanted to steal his power. It looked like he didn't know that was about to happen and he also thought li tianchen might kill cheng xiaoshi. And when the ex police shot cxs, lg was beating the living shit out of him LMAO. season 2 most probably is new to lu guang, he didn't go through this time in his last life, since he had many instances in which he wasnt his calm lg, unlike season 1

Nah this actually made a TON of sense, especially the part about how much calmer Lu Guang seemed in s1 as compared to s2. Lu Guang of s1 was mainly collected and only freaked when Cheng Xiaoshi made a rash, unpredictable decision (ep4 when he was trying to warn the village, that time when he jumped into the photo solo and witnessed Emma’s death). This makes me believe that he had some idea of the events that would happen besides small changes to the timeline. However, in s2, he seemed a lot more frantic in many scenes- like the time you pointed out in episode 3 and when he got shot. Those reactions were so jarring and uncharacteristic of how Lu Guang had typically been portrayed, I was genuinely shocked by his facial expression in ep 3, but when you look back at it in the context of the whole “Cheng Xiaoshi death scene” it makes a lot more sense.
And the outfit observation is super important as well in setting a timeline for his death! The decision to keep Cheng Xiaoshi in one outfit for the ENTIRETY of s1, only to change it constantly in s2 feels intentional, we’ve seen from the writing of the show (and how some of the lyrics in the ops and eds, even from s1, connect to the death reveal) that the creators of the show RARELY do things “just because.” Almost every detail or hint dropped has had some significance to a later plot point, which makes me doubt that the outfit change was just because they wanted to switch things up. We can assume that any scene where Cheng Xiaoshi is wearing his signature jacket is potentially the place where his death originally occurred (my main guesses are in between the first and second episode because of the large time gap in between or the s1 ending where Lu Guang gets stabbed, maybe Cheng Xiaoshi was supposed to die there and that’s why Lu Guang was so relieved and accepted his own death).
Sorry for dumping all this, I just really liked your theories and wanted to expand a bit on them!

My favourite donghua beside Link Click is Fairies Album. If you want to know what it is about? Imagine Link Click but you take away the time traveling mystery aspect. It's an episodic emotional drama.

What if these power always go over from a dead person to the person holding them? Qiao Ling has Li Tianxis power because she was touching her and Cheng Xiaoshi was in Lu Guangs arms when he died, so Lu Guang would have Cheng Xiaoshis powers but does he has his other aswell or did he lose his? And did he lose Cheng Xiaosgis ability after he went back and saved him? What picture did he even use? Does Cheng Xiaoshi even use his ability? Well i think he does. First because the series wouldn't do that. It's just to weird in my opinion. And i think he doesnt lose it because of the outro.
In the outro Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi find a mechine, probably for time travelling, and Qiao Ling watches over them. it sound exactly like what could be possible when the both of them could time travel. After all I thought since the beginning that the outro had a meaning but i couldnt quite connect it but now it makes sense. I also think that in the next season we will find out more about the powers in the next season, maybe even their origins, because it would make another connection to the outro.
The man with Li Tianchen said for himself that he wants to show the world more parallels. Maybe i think to far but it would show a connection and maybe what he meant aswell. That it isnt just the characters but the audience aswell who will find more connections and parallels.
I also have a theorie that Lu Guang knows way more then he lets onto. He wore the same coat in the scene where he travelled back to safe him and in the scene where they were all together do my theory is that, we saw the real timeline in the end, of course, but how did Lu Guang know that he has the power of Cheng Xiaoshi? Did he know the power gets passed to the next person? I think he already knew it and knows even more. I mean, I like the scene where the friends met the first time on the basketball court but it seems to random for series as complex as link click. I think Cheng Xiaoshi didnt know about his powers but Lu Guang did. I dont know how but as i said its to random. I understand that he sibling have powers that work together well but Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi who seemingly have no connections have such fitting abilitys aswell?
Last but not least is the new guy with Li Tianchen, whos name I forgot..
I think he has a power aswell. It's just a feeling but having a goal like his seems weird for a person with no powers since he even said to Tianchen that he doesn't need his help. It is to big of a goal, he could achieve that just by himself. I also think he has a conection to Cheng Xiaoshi, they seem so similar... but that is just a thought
Overall I think we get to see more connections and find out more about the origins of their powers. I just hope it doesnt take another two years...
Edit: I saw in the comment someone talking about the paasword of Lu Guangs phone and how they are the same numbers on Lu Guangs watch. Wich would mean he doesnt just see the past but also the future. Then the question is how?
Another comment said that Cheng Xiaoshis death scene was shown for a second in the first ep of the second season. If that means that Lu Guang can see in the future we would know how he can possibly know about Chang Xiaoshis powers and his, he saw it in a vision. But know the questions is. How far can he see into the future?we already know that Lu Guangs passwort is 091305 for quiite some time since Cheng Xiaoshi said he saw him typing it. Did Lu Guang even know the meaning or was it like a reflex thing?
Wait, what if lu guang original power is can see the future, and someone died pass the "see inside the photo" power to lu guang, and thats how he became friend with cheng xiaoshi, because he can see the future where cheng xiaosi use the power.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the timeline I have going rn is basically:
-some alternate version of these events occur, Cheng Xiaoshi dies, and Lu Guang uses his one time power to jump back- most likely not to 2005 given that they wouldn’t have met yet (Cheng Xiaoshi was still a child in 2008 and they met at earliest as teens). I guess it would be at the basketball game just because he said he was “going to the beginning”, but that could easily be disproven.
- given how he says that this has happened multiple times, it’s likely ^ (above) ^ has been repeated more than once
- Everything plays out, but a little bit differently and Lu Guang gets stabbed by Qiao Ling (instead of Cheng Xiaoshi? Lu Guang was caught off guard, I don’t think he was expecting it/knew it was coming)
- Lu Guang notes that death is a node that can’t be changed when Cheng Xiaoshi stops Emma from jumping. He’s surprised that Cheng Xiaoshi is able to do this, not mad that Cheng Xiaoshi is changing the past. So it’s likely that those who are saved end up dying later for other reasons: specifically, Lu Guang hasn’t been able to save Cheng Xiaoshi (maybe Li Tianxchen was “written in” by the timeline to make sure Emma and Cheng Xiaoshi died?)
- things play out, and now Qiao Ling knows about Lu Guang’s memories. She seems confused and only brings up one instance of the many maybe Cheng Xiaoshi deaths. So Li Tianxi couldn’t find, hasn’t seen, or didn’t share the multiple jumps that Lu Guang has supposedly made, meaning that either Lu Guang has genuinely only jumped once or he didn’t have memories of other jumps at that point. (Which calls all of this into question, but wtv)
- Cheng Xiaoshi survives this, but dies later (some time after season 2) as “death is a node that can’t be changed”, and the cycle repeats
The 2005 thing might have to do with Cheng Xiaoshi’s parents. We still don’t know much outside of the fact that they left before 2008 and Cheng Xiaoshi was worried they were caught in the earthquake, so they’re still up in the air rn.
Anyway, I’ll have to rewatch it to be on the look out for this stuff
@@sageleaf8962 To your 5th point. I really like the idea that Lu Guang doesn't remember jumping back since, if he travelled back, he couldn't remember the past because it didn't happen. Maybe it is like when you lose your memory, that your body remembers but your mind doesn't because Lu Guang seemed to know that he need to protect Cheng but what if he doesn't remember why? That would mean that the memory of Lu Guang holding Chengs body is distorted because it is a lost memory. But then there is the problem with the scene where Lu goes into a photo because that memory wasn't like that.
I was thinking about the distortions in some scenes because it was always in Lu Guangs pov (if i remember correctly). But right now there seems to be no clear answer to why these scene were distorted so we probably have to wait to find out more. Maybe we even get more scenes like that and get Lu Guangs pov like that. Or maybe he has such a distorted view because he isn't supposed to be there.
One other thing i had in mind was 'what if this all already happend and it is just a story being told to us'. But i haven't thought into it too much because it could potentially change the whole story and how we see it.
@@lilsla___ that’s a great idea. Maybe he can only remember one timeline (the one he came from) for every jump, but is aware that he’s jumped more than once just because of how many stray memories he has of Cheng Xiaoshi’s death.
Alternatively, Lu Guang jumps, changes something, then jumps out. As we know, he can only stay in a photo for 12 hrs max, so unless he’s figured out a way around that, he can only change one day. That’s where I think the Qiao Ling stabbing comes in. Because he remembers Cheng Xiaoshi dying only in that moment, he might have taken the stab to prevent Cheng Xiaoshi from getting killed, then jumped out to the day Cheng Xiaoshi was supposed to die.
Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation and Heaven Officials Blessing are some of the most popular donghua’s right now (although that is due to the fact that they are based on popular, canonically queer books- so the gay community latches on to them tightly. But the plot is stellar even outside the gay ship if that isn’t your thing)

Yes you got it ! Just like Tianxi Lu power transfered to Qiao Ling when she died, Lu Guang took Cheng Xiaoshi’s power when he died in another timeline and he decided to go to the past to prevent that. It explains the face he made when Cheng Xiaoshi mentioned stealing powers was possible (cause he experienced it !) and why he went into a rage when Cheng Xiaoshi got shot, like he was internally screaming "not again!!".
Still a bit confusing at which point Lu Guang went back in time since he didn't anticipate Qiao Ling being possessed and stabing him, maybe cause the current timeline changed too much compared to what he knew of the one where Cheng Xiaoshi dies ? Then again if he went back to the very beginning (their meeting on the basketball court) what did he change ? Cause he should've at least known the answer to clients who came to the photo studio regardless of the timeline, like the case of the ramen ingredient, or the kidnapping of Dodo... UNLESS in the timeline where Cheng Xiaoshi dies they did'nt create that surnatural part of the studio photo ??? and the cause of Cheng Xiaoshi death is completly different ??

Lu Guang can't be the one to clap otherwise he'd go back to the time he went into the photo. Wow I didn't think thats how Lu Guang got his powers but it makes sense so right now we don't have any clue how Cheng Xiao got his powers right? I have a feeling maybe from his parents? we don't know (unless I've forgotten) where his parents are so maybe one of them was the first power holder so they died and gave it to CX?

What if there is a more over arcing story line connecting all the stories. This song talks about the 7 sins. Which are Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.
1. Lust could probably fall into the first episode.
2. Gluttony with the Ramen.
3. Sloth with the Guy who didn't tell his love what he wanted.
4. Pride with the Martials Arts Teacher
5. Greed with the Restaurant owners.
6. Then we have Envy for the Killer.
7. Season 2 is Wrath.

My Theory on this is that Li Tianxi had the memories of the current Lu Guang when Qiao Ling gave her the phone to check his current situation when Lu Guang was taken away in ep 10, but the current situation that Li Tianxi saw was the current Lu Guang that could be possibly possessing himself and also his memories of Cheng Xiaoshi's death. Yet we don't know how far Lu Guang has went he went into his body since so far we know that Qiao Ling only tells us about Cheng Xiaoshi's death and not Lu Guang possessing his "past self".

only contenders are jjk (which had a break and most of it was set up for the shibuya arc), mushoku tensei (which is not nearly as good as season 1 was) or my happy marriage (which was stronger in its first half without all the magic bs and more focused on the characters).
