Ozai is the closest we can get to a fully-consumed Dark Side version of Luke. The "you have redeemed yourself my son" bit screams so much Sith "the rightful successor to Vader as Palpatine's new apprentice" energy.
The look on Ozai's face at 13:17 is almost like he's thinking "Iroh must have been the one who taught him that! How dare Zuko redirect my own lightning against me!" or something like that.
"You dare suggest I BETRAY IROH? My first born, directly after the demise of his only beloved son." As evil as that piece of work was he at least loved his son.

Ozai was thinking in his mind when Zuko redirected the lightning : “whatever that technique was, Iroh…only Iroh taught him that!” His ego was completely destroyed
Man, Mark Hamill is incredible. Possibly the best villain VA of all time when you consider his 30+ years of voicing Joker and the rest of his acting / VA accomplishments.
Ozai was one of the most intimidating villains I had ever seen when I was a kid. Sure, Azula is a much more interesting character and a massive threat in her own right, but the way Ozai was presented and the way people talked about him made him out to be nothing short of a monster. A reputation he more than justified when he finally took center stage.
Azula saw her Dads suffering and kept watching, makes sense how she ended up seeing him as just a tool/authority figure like all other people. She didn’t see him as the invincible person he portrayed.
Not that I want reduce Azula's tragedy of her going mad because she felt her father abandoned her like everyone else in her mind, but personally I think Ozai for himself was quite lenient with her. I found it strange that there was no scene where he punished her horribly, traumatizing her, for lying to him about Avatar's survival, then he silenced her without a punishment and even only trusted her to leave her behind in the palace in case someone would come (like Zuko and Katara). Indeed with Azula at her father's side, who would be left to stand against their enemies at their own home? It was Azula who was too much focused on her losses that she started to easily assume just worst from everyone else left and fail seeing a bigger picture like she did when her friends were at her side.
This may be irrelevant, but I honestly just find it funny Azulon was basically like, "Look Ozai, I know you're trying to impress me because you want something, so just tell me and quit wasting my time." I would like to think that Firelord Azulon hated Ozai, or at the very least disliked him very much
Zuko:I'm here to tell the truth. Ozai:Mortal! You dare call of on Ozai, lord of the fire nation and ruler of the whole world!? I will burn you and the rest of earth kingdom's to ash!👿👹🔥

Are you sure? Don't compare ozai to joker because joker is a millions of times better than ozai 😂 even Zaheer and amon in the legend of Korra are better as villains than ozai so don't compare ozai to the greatest Villain of all time, the joker!
Someone this evil doesn't deserve to look this hot. It ticks me off bc like I love how he looks and I'm like "oooh" then I remember what he's like and I'm like "ohhhh... no..."
Ozai is like what happens if Luke fully embraced Darth Vader's philosophy.
You mean Palpatine's?
6:16 me at first: ... omg Zuko's the spitting image of his father... So he really took the best from his parents
but what about when Ozai said
"Really, you're going to take me out? But you're not even wearing pants!"
and Aang said
"No firelord! You're not wearing pants!"
8:30
Still trying to understand how Ozai grew from being that sweet and innocent baby to the villain he became?
Living with azulon
@@phoenixking9457 or maybe an old sickly Emperor from another universe successfully turned him evil to become his new apprentice.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
@@phoenixking9457 this...
Azulon treated him same way Ozai treat Zuko
Ozai is the closest we can get to a fully-consumed Dark Side version of Luke. The "you have redeemed yourself my son" bit screams so much Sith "the rightful successor to Vader as Palpatine's new apprentice" energy.
him being voiced by mark hamill makes this funnier lol
The look on Ozai's face at 13:17 is almost like he's thinking "Iroh must have been the one who taught him that! How dare Zuko redirect my own lightning against me!" or something like that.
Firelord Azulon was 💯💯🔥🔥🔥
"You dare suggest I BETRAY IROH? My first born, directly after the demise of his only beloved son." As evil as that piece of work was he at least loved his son.
Zuko: "I will not fight you, father."
Ozai: You are unwise to lower your DEFENSES!"
18:07 can I just point out how absolutely amazing that comet's effect is as it turns from white to blaze and turns the entire sky to crimson
in fact i absolutely love the OST and this sequence
It’s scary that they made this evil man handsome.😭
Ozai was thinking in his mind when Zuko redirected the lightning : “whatever that technique was, Iroh…only Iroh taught him that!”
His ego was completely destroyed
Man, Mark Hamill is incredible. Possibly the best villain VA of all time when you consider his 30+ years of voicing Joker and the rest of his acting / VA accomplishments.
Zuko is Pinnacle of Charcter development
Every video about Avatar makes me wanna rewatch the series 😮💨❤
Bending is still a form of martial arts so hand to hand combat is still needed
Unpopular opinion: I actually liked Fire Lord Ozai as a villain.
When we're young , we hated them
When we grew , we understands them
@@PriggarGamingWhat's misunderstood about him?
@@PriggarGaming Mmmm that's profound.
@@PriggarGamingForgot about Iroh ?
Who doesnt?
Ozai : Iroh told, the way of tea and failure
Zuko : Also, light redirection
I watched this show when it was on TV all those years ago. I just found out today that legendary actor/voice actor is Mark Hamil...
I’ve exposed myself to so much Batman The Animated Series recently that I hear TheJoker whenever Ozai speaks
For me it was Star Wars.
Man I wish there were more of firelord Ozai and more of firelord azula more of both
Honestly Aang had no chance of beating Ozai. he basically activated creative mode and beat him.
22:43 Ozai's face says the complete opposite of your comment
1:51 5:55 Azula’s face shows how she’s just as sadistic as Ozai.
Before Nickelodeon owned Shredder, this was their Shredder
0:07 is it me or did Ozai sound a little different when he roared? Then again I'm not sure if that was before Mark Hamill began voicing him
Azula saw her Dads suffering and kept watching, makes sense how she ended up seeing him as just a tool/authority figure like all other people. She didn’t see him as the invincible person he portrayed.
Luke Skywalker joining the Dark Side
At the future he will become Kavaxas
Ozai: from this moment i shall be known as Phoenox King
Mayor of Phoenix:[visible confusion]
"...they don't see our greatness! THEY HATE US!..."
Don’t want to be controversial but one of my favorite characters !! Mark hamill crushed it !!
It’s crazy how we never even saw Ozai’s full face clearly until we’ll into the third season
The fire nation was very powerful
Hes a really attractive villian😍
LOL i thought i was the only one who found him hot
The best villain of all time
Even amon and Zaheer are better as a villains than him😅
Ozai? Ozai is dead my friend. You can call me… Joker! And as you can see, I’m a lot happier.
“And from the ashes, a new world will be born” as his head’s shadow casts over what would be Republic City
Suki: yeah and y’know with Zuko taking the throne I guess we should call him the fired lord
Ozai was ruthless.
Ozai was disgusting.

Sparky Sparky boom man
There is only one person who can combustion bend like that
@@PriggarGaminguhh P’Li and she could curve her shot when she combustion bends
This may be irrelevant, but I honestly just find it funny Azulon was basically like, "Look Ozai, I know you're trying to impress me because you want something, so just tell me and quit wasting my time." I would like to think that Firelord Azulon hated Ozai, or at the very least disliked him very much
This makes sense@@fighterx9840
Zuko:I'm here to tell the truth.
Ozai:Mortal! You dare call of on Ozai, lord of the fire nation and ruler of the whole world!? I will burn you and the rest of earth kingdom's to ash!👿👹🔥
Pass down the ways of teas and failure😂😂❤
Yep😂
0:09 20:54 Ozai’s Roar is tough.
Daniel Dae Kim did not ruin it. He is awesome as the live-action Ozai
An Absolute Giga Chad 🔥
16:55 Azula almost had a scar to match Zuko's
It is so sad that despite the huge populariy of the show (Still to this day) People never praise Mark Hamil as Ozai. I mean they always praise him as the Joker.
Не is incarnation of Kavaxas. He will turn into Kavaxas at his next life. He will be lord of the demondragons and ruler of the nether world
