I was thinking of a better way to transport my gear, to the range, trail head or wherever else adventures take me. I hate having valuable things in view when I have to stop off at the store, gas station or maybe overnight at a hotel or friends house.
I have seen truck vaults and systems like that, and while I like the idea, they are cost prohibitive for me. Not to mention, 89 Isuzu Troopers don't get tons of love in the aftermarket department.
So I set out to make my own Vehicle Storage Platform...

Great setup. I would do something like this with my Jeep Patriot. Although, I enjoy seeing my tan pelican riffle case sitting in the back.

Awesome. I've got an 87 trooper. I've been thinking about making a similar setup out of aluminum. I love the trooper's double doors (as opposed to a hatch) and the huge cargo space.

I would definitely encourage it. Depending on how your plan to set up and use your Trooper, this set up is great. I really like having all that hidden space for gear. Thanks for watching!

Kit Badger My main goals are overlanding and camping, so having gear hidden would be very nice. I also occasionally hunt and shoot, so it would be nice to have a place to hide the firearms out of plain sight. Great video!
