Using HTV (also known as heat transfer vinyl or iron-on vinyl) isn't difficult, but you do need to know the proper techniques and the differences between using HTV and regular adhesive vinyl. So glad to know I can use cotton. I thought it was polyester only. I’ve been going crazy in search of 100% polyester shirts.
Oh no, for regular HTV cotton works best! :) For 100% poly you would have to/need to use Sport Flex Iron-On. So you can rest easy with your cotton or cotton/poly blend shirts with regular HTV! Yay!
Poly is used the Cricut infusibles

Great video with clear step by step instructions. I’ve seen others out a Teflon sheet on top of the design before putting the heat press. Is that an extra optional step then?

Hello!!! Thank you so much! So, Regular household irons do not work well with HTV. They have such uneven heat distribution, you never know which part of the design is heated/adhered properly because of this. Also you never know what temperature your Iron is actually at, making it hard to properly adhere your design. We HIGHLY recommend getting a Cricut EasyPress Mini: amzn.to/2zvjW9D for all of your HTV projects :)

Will this vinyl work on shirts that are the drift material? I bought solid color ones and wanted to but my boys names on the back like a jersey. I’m just not sure if it will work well because of the material of the shirt. They are the Nike drifit, the smooth stretchy athletic shirts

So I made this glitter iron on design for the bag that same with the easy press 2 9x9. I followed all the stops in this video and it turned out beautiful thank you! My only problem is that now there is also a brownish almost like burnt type stain exact same size and shape as the easy press. Why could this be? TIA
