There is a fraud department within immigration. I complained to immigration some years ago, was given the number, called, lodged my complaint. Action was taken by that department. Certain people were removed.
Certain countries are abusing the service. Students come in then do not attend their course and work for cash instead. Also some businee owners only employ their countries students to get around regulations.
I lived in Sydney west for 40 years or more now, and I've worked and lived with these so called students, and many have two full time jobs, and live in crowded houses with 10 people or more. How can we compete with this? They also collude at work, and if one of them enters as management in the workplace they give positions based on race and friendship, rather merit, since it's a common practice in their country. The government has to be blamed for this, they are so so greedy, it's disgusting - and only thinks about taking the money they bring who cares about the rest of the citizens.

There was a guy that had worked there for about five-seven years, the business was owned by an australian, then he sod it and it was managed by indians. next thing you know the whole place is filled with indians and me and two other guys are the only australians.

You do not see Filipinos who work as part time house keepers, janitors or low paying jobs who have opted to study there, they are all professionals. There may be some whose parents have moved there, they were born there and did not make something of themselves so they end up with low pay.

Most of the students who are following courses here lack basic knowledge of English. I wonder how they manage to come. They are arranged by recruiting agents at their end.The government should cancel these licences and inform the relevant universities not to except students from these agencies.
i know of a university that made a building for Foreign Students they built an entire building with only 6 floors for school first-year classes only built like an airport longe
Australia is not the only country to do studies. There are plenty of economically strengthen European countries. Have plenty of accommodations, jobs and no even racisms. Now it’s enough donating dollars to Australia. Students must think wisely.

The government should also reopen older visa granted and they will find many were based on fraudulent degrees from Punjab, Haryana and Gujrat of India, the whole Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal - we should only bring top grade students like from IIT and IIM India and the English band should be minimum 7.5 - 8.
I have been an international student. Not being able to work is not the solution. How am I going to pay my bills if I don’t work? I’m not rich. And we don’t get gov funds to live on. Let them work but get rid of fake schools. There are many colleges that offer fake diplomas that have no strict attendance records.

Education in universities is a back door for migration.
Why don't Universities decline applications from offshore students and rather admit only onshore students? If this is done, no student will apply.

The students pay money to get a degree, you dont have to attend any colleges. There is lot of corruption in those countries
