In this video I am going to show you FREE software I have used in my restaurants. It can be up and running in less than 2 hours and it looks and functions in a world class way. This video has literally changed my auties business. The lock down really pit her in a bad place and for a small restaurant in Nigeria, there is really not too many options. I'm a business marketing stratergist and I felt challenged. A simple search on TH-cam brought your video up and like you said In 2hrs I had this all set up for her, made some few graphic and offered free shipping. @@banksdada501 thanks for the info. I have done said research long ago so I use paystack all the time. Since watching the video, I implemented the gloria food solution for a client and it was really awesome. The catch for me was the mobile app. After all the hard work, I ended up deleting it jare because there really was no way to integrate a payment solution and after creating the store on woocommerce it just seem silly and redundant to have the customer go through another funnel just to choose sides and spice level in addition to their order...
Another issue we had with it was that you basically have to keep yourself glued to your phone in case an order comes. You only have a window of like 60 seconds to accept the order...
While that could work for a business with a customer service help desk, my client's operations demanded her to be more hands on about everything else. So that means a few missed orders and over time, it'll make your business seem unserious.
Solution : so I decided to fix this by setting intermittent opening and closing hours throughout the day. How this looked was that I basically gave her an opening time of 30 minutes every 4-6 hours.
This would ensure that orders would enter a queue until she was available to recieve them during her 30 minute breaks....
Overall I'd say it was a well thought-out and implemented food ordering solution, but without the ability to accept payment locally, it's a waste of time.

Thank you so much Bo for your video. I wouldn't have heard about gloria food ordering system had it not been for you. I have a small bubble tea shop that my wife and I opened about 5 months ago. Unfortunately this happened and now I am scrambling to get a website for online ordering and payment. Money is tight and I have to do everything DIY as much as possible. Meal ordering app companies take a large chunk off the sales. I'm glad I found your tutorial. I'm paying for the premium account to be able to take online payments but that is still relatively cheaper than paying for established meal order apps.

Bo you are a Bro, I wanna hug you man, Deliveroo haven't processed our online account for over 2 weeks, I think because they are swamped with new sales and they are working under social distancing measures, our online ordering system was disabled because provider was incompetent. You are a very generous man!

hey Bo, any suggestions on stand alone ordering app (we have no need for website). How our process works is person goes inside a business and takes the orders (could be several). The person inside business will use Ipad to record the order. Person outside in delivery vehicle will see & prepare the order and print a receipt. Any suggestion? Thank you

Hello! I have a question regarding gloria food, I want to manage the quantity of each product so that when it runs out, customers cannot continue ordering them.
That is easy to do from the back end. I’d keep a master menu in a Word doc. When an item is out, go in and delete from the online menu. When your ready to add it back open up your word menu and copy and past it back in. Not as ideal as just hiding an item but it can be done. I’m sure someone from GF reads these posts and maybe that is something they’ll add. Or they may already have it and I’m unaware. Good question. ~ Bo

This can be done and is a standard feature within the GloriaFood platform.
Simply go into the item that is out of stock and select 'Hide item from menu'

Have a good. For wix all you need is to embed the code in a button and this is pretty straight forward. i work with wordpress and its the same - content management system as wix is. Can this be used to list menus from multiple restaurants and eateries... so all you need to do is have the guest pick and chose what they want to eat from all the available listed restaurants, I pick up and deliver to them. Can this system help me achieve this? Once again, thanks for sharing.
You would have to have multiple accounts but it could absolutely be done.
Does this integrate with the POS system so you don't need to re-input the order into the POS system? I think most small business in the USA use clover, square, toast POS and etc. Also it will be great if they can also update the menu from the POS inventory, so updating the menu on the POS side will also update the online order site.
Most do not. Most use Oracles Micros. All of those you listed have barely been around a few years.

Do you happen to know if we can control the time slots available for picking up? We have a problem of too many orders wanting to pick up at the same time and we can’t keep up so people end up waiting too long. For example, We want to offer only 4 orders per 15 minutes time slot instead of the customers all wanting to pick up at 6:00
Hey there, great question. You do have the ability to control timing of order. When you get an order the after the first prompt of accepting the order, the next prompt is for you to put in an estimated pick up time. So if you have already promised out 4 orders in a 15 minute window, you can respond to the next batch of orders with a 30 minute time, then 45, then 60, and so on and so forth. David, I am not sure if this would be a practical solution for your need. Each unit would have to be built out separately and there is no mass dashboard multi-unit function that I am aware of. If I hear of something I’ll reach out.

I had try the Gloria Food before, the validate email was suck. It's took a week in order to received their email. After i give up the everything n finally they sent me the confirmation email. Wasting time to build apps with gloria food.

Hello, is there any software out there that allows you to take bookings in advance?
For example, customer comes onto website and wants to order cream tea for her mother's birthday in two weeks. They select our cream team product, go to checkout, select delivery address and date with a 2 hour delivery slot from 2-4pm and then pays.
We get a notification that customer placed the order, and now see there are X amount of orders on any given day that we need to prepare and deliver fresh on the day.
Any help would be massively appreciated!

Can I ask your advice on purchasing receipt printers and also a tablet for this system?
We will require a printer for the chefs in the kitchen and also for our reception area.
You can buy Epson TM-T20II for receipt printers as well as for a kitchen printer.
Brylie, I have used the STAR SP700 wireless kitchen printer and an EPSON TM U220-B. There are many other makes and models of wireless remote kitchen printers out there that will work perfectly and there are tons of TH-cam videos and company direct sites out there that will show you how to hook them up. I have used these for both Square and for Gloria Foods at different locations so I know these ones work for sure. I hope that helps! As far as a tablet, anything with wifi connection enabled that supports android or apple store will work for this. I have primary used apple products but that is just personal preference. I use an iPad mini with a magnetic post stand and an otter box cover to keep the unit safe but there are a ton of mounting options out there that you can get to put right next to your POS. Just make sure it is a dedicated devise because in order for the alerts to work you always have to have the app open. Best of luck! ~Bo

Winnie yeung I use the platform that GoDaddy.com offers. They are simple, templated and most importantly, they automatically scale for mobile devices. They are also very affordable. WIX is another great platform I have used, similarly. I hope that helps. Good luck!

What about when it's time to charge? Is there an option to pay on delivery?
Carlos Chevez the app is free but it does have widgets that you can pay for. One of those widgets is the payment portal they offer where you can accept cards. It is around $25 per month. Worth it if you ask me. Hope that helps. Best of luck! Thanks for watching.

Von Adeva, I’m afraid your going to need a website. You can create a simple one with little to nothing on it through sites like go daddy, with prebuilt templates. It can literally just have your company name and the app (from the video instructions). It’s not ideal but it will get you up and running. Best of luck.

I just built it on go daddy’s website template builder. Super easy, scales automatically for mobile. They have made some updates that I don’t like so I am using WIX for new projects.

It is 100% free. They do not take a % fee. There are widgets and options that you can opt in for the do cost money like adding the credit card payment gateway and marketing services, etc. but if you want to get it up and running like I did on my TheHellaBurger.com website, everything I show is 100% free. You can go there and place an order, try it out and see what you think. Hella Burger is a company I have set up for demo only, not a live restaurant right now so go play around with the ordering platform to see what you think.

i've had a bot hooked up in my book page..this is much better in my opinion..still can't believe it's free..wow!I'm switching my restaurant from italian, to sushi bar just delivery cause there is too many here..and I'm positive will be super succefull!plus, I'm going to partner up with a friend of mine who's already killing with its delivery, and place a flyer in each bag(approx 50/70per day..with a hook:fort order sushi, 25%off..)Please Bo, give me some more tips...! I believe in this a lot..just wanted to know if I can run Ads on book, and hook this gloriafood up on instagram somehow..and just market all day! Who run Gloriafood? Where did you first hear about them ?
It’s a private company, not sure who runs it. I found it back in 2016. I just found them via a google search. Tried it out in one of my concepts and loved it.

When you go through the set up process (very simple and step by step) they have an option that is free that lets customers request a call back to take payment over the phone, or they can pay cash or PayPal. For a very inexpensive monthly fee (I believe less than $30 a month) you can use their payment gateway for online payment. Best of luck! ~ Bo

You can still put an order button in Facebook automatically through the GloriaFood set up but I would strongly recommend getting your own website. You can get them very inexpensively through sites like WIX and GoDaddy with templates that can have you up and running in just a few hours. Best of luck! ~ Bo
