Have owned a Jet Surf for 5 years and assumed it was almost impossible to do any of this yourself unless you were a mechanic.

Got an odd one with my 2019 race dfi. Used it this week and the throttle stuck. The handle trigger was not pushed out so it was loose. Got back to shore after using kill switch to avoid rocks. On beach I checked engine and the butterfly that the throttle cable attaches to was locked open I jiggled it and it released and handle is working perfectly on press and release. Went back out and still full throttle and then cuts out. Took home and changed for brand new handle electric as I have spare and same issue. Also changed spark plug but left scratching my head now wondering what would hold the throttle open and after the black spring mounted butterfly I released why it’s still full throttle
