Brian. I love that you still have enthusiasm for the game but haven't caved to big board sponsors and just shell for WotC & Co; but are honest. It helps ppl save $ buying the right product for them, so they can still enjoy the game.
Professor , I love the booster box game , but here is a idea start with a set then do a spin wheel to see what box to get next then again for example

I like the retro video game sound effects you use in your videos, but I gotta be honest, the sound effect you used for the “hits” in this one were pretty grating on the ears for me. I had to mute the video pretty early on because you got a lot of hits back to back. Only negative criticism I have, though. Love the addition of the “top card” tracker.
The new editing style looks really good! The "top card" is a fun inclusion.
I like it. Shows if one card alone pushed the price.

Seconded and thirded, in past booster box games i often went back to check the top card to see which % of the total it was. Now he does it for me!
The Lo-Fi is so much better than the usual music. More of that in the future please! :)
I don't think I'm ever going to emotionally recover from seeing the professor engage in foreplay with that draft box.

I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the music being lower for me was a plus. Usually I have this playing while I'm doing something else and it's nice to be able to tell when there's a money card and I can look over. Also like the top card addition!

everyones been saying the 'top card' thing but i really do like the the more chill music. sometimes the manic energy is exciting but so is a nice chill lofi thing.

I said for years that there should be a separate type of pack from the draft packs. They came out with collectors' boosters, and it was pretty disappointing since they weren't really useful for prize support or just buying a pack or two during a commander night. I think set boosters are great, I like buying a pack or two once a week just to see if I get anything fun. With draft, set, and collector boosters it hits all 3 uses a pack could have: drafting, having fun cracking packs, and throwing money down the drain.
That just sounds like you're asking WotC to facilitate your own gambling problem.
Honestly? No.
The whole "packs are for draft, don't buy packs just to crack them" wasn't intended to mean "WotC, please make packs that are for cracking only".
Draft packs are the only ones of those that actually have a function.
I guess I can see Collector boosters kinda making sense for people who would spend a lot of money on packs anyways, to maximize their value? But then, it kinda makes no sense that displays are so expensive and have only a few packs in them.

Even if there’s not any value in this set the sealed environment was a lot of fun, I’ll definitely be drafting the hell out of this at my lgs!
Yeah people are dumping on this set, but I actually had a ton of fun opening a box and it's a great play experience as well.
Statistically speaking when someone "dumps on a set" it's because they can't comprehend value in any form but monetarily so "fun" doesn't factor in to a set being good
I love the set personally! Maybe not a huge money set but lots of cards for me to pull for decks and come up with new brews! Plus the draft feels awesome!

It's a standard set. (And for a WUBRG meta, at that. Of course that's gonna' curb a lot of the general appeal.) Unless you want something like Eldraine haunting the format again, it's probably better this way. Comparing it to Double Masters just plain isn't fair.
At least it's better than Boseiju, Gitaxis and the bulk rares, better known as Kamigawa Neon Dynasty.
Really enjoyed the chiller music here. I like having these up on my other monitor while I play something, and this is much less intrusive
Love the editing, especially the top card. My only suggestion would be for the top card to have some indicator of foil or non-foil. Thanks for the great content!

I think my favorite thing about these packs is the front-of-pack artwork cards, which I now want a full set of. I do love the showcase look for this set too.

Prof, I've always loved your videos and I hope to for many sets/years to come but would you mind awfully either lowering the volume on the "Total Update" sound effect. I like to listen to the music but can't because the beeps and boops are deafening.

Hard for me to buy boxes when I can buy all the singles I want/need for less than the price of a set and draft box.
Loving the addition of the Top Card and hope to see it continue! Really helps to see when a box (or maybe even a set?) value is being carried by one particularly expensive card. With these boxes, it seems like a Lili, Sheoldred, or Greensleeves is necessary to get to the next box.

Hey Professor i really do appreciate all the time you put into these videos. I saved and made alot of money because of you my first video i watched of yours was the booster box game with March of the machine i seen how long you played so i did the same thing i bought at least 15 to 20 set booster boxes for march of the machine i tell you what like 5 of them i pulled 11 mythics. i enjoy opening boosters probably as much as i like and watch your videos. Hopefully one day professor i can meet you and play some magic that would be a dream come true.your videos along with command zone and magic at home about one of the very few things i look forward to everyday here in wisconsin not much to do here. Hope to hear back from you professor thanks again for your time.

I love your booster box game videos!! The top card is a great addition. The only thing I’d say is I preferred the old “ka-ching” sound because I fall asleep to these videos lol. Honestly just turning down the new sound a little bit might be nice too
Love the new layout and sounds. The best card in box is a great add in. Oh and never stop doing the scenes around the box opening, I get a great laugh out of it even if I feel called out sometimes too

Before I bought my own DMU Set Booster box, I thought to myself, maybe I should wait to see The Prof's booster box game video. But I got impatient, bought a box anyway, and had my best Set Booster box pulls of all time. $250 of value > $2. This set seems really nice across the board!
I really like the new layout with the 'Best Card' pinned in the top. Another great Booster Box game and keep on keepin' on Prof!
I love to gamble on one box when I can preorder for around 100$. My kids like the pack cracking reveals in their hands. Though I was lucky enough to get the most expensive cards I wanted for my decks in my one box (Liliana, Jared C, Karn, Timeless Lotus, Leyline) so now all I had to do was order singles to fill out the holes.
I’ll add to the new layout love: Top Card is a nice addition. The scrolling video game sound effect was a bit off putting at first but I tuned it out by the end.

In a moment of weakness I opened two set boxes of dominaria. All I really wanted was LotV, but I just enjoy cracking packs. Honestly even though I pretty much broke even on value, I think this was one of my favorite sets to crack. The showcase style is amazing, there are some super cool cards this set, and you know… Lilli! Buy singles, but I do enjoy a good crack
It's so great seeming the classic card style pop in there set-logo and all. The List is fun.
So I'm late to the party and very recently coming back to consuming MtG content after 4-5mos of disinterest. I haven't seen any spoilers for this set so it's super exciting and freakin rad to see and read all these cards for the first time! 😁
And what's even better is that they seem to have hit the nail right on the head in terms the slightly toned down power level without being boring and uninteresting, and draft looks incredible, especially Domain with all the tapped basic duals. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Also do love this format, the art and the cards get to speak for themselves :) so many pretty / cool things in this set.

i actually bought a box and got Sheoldred, the apocalypse which is the one card i really wanted as well as to add some of the more valuable cards to my collection, total value of the cards o got combine was about $150, though i really needed Sheoldred for my gain and drain deck, i also switch my commander out for Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim.
I like the changes made this time around, well done Prof.

i just like opening packs lol, i barely play the game and really only play with friends because i'm kind of nervous around people i dont know. arena is fun and all but having cool looking cards that i can feel and look at from different angles really is something else. also love the art cards so beautiful. one of my friends is a coworker and i like to bring a box to work sometimes and we open them at the cash register lol

Couldn't work out a time everyone was free to draft so I just opened a Draft box myself. 12 Mythics including 2 Timeless Lotuses (Lotii?) plus a bunch of cards I could add to existing decks really made it worth the price. Best standard set value in a while.
That second to last box was sweet! Feels nice when you don't have to hit a Liliana of the Veil or a sheoldred to win the booster box game.

I love the set boosters. I was thinking I missed the draft booster but I got some by mistake and discovered no, I really do like the set boosters if I'm not drafting. You can get some crazy pulls in those. My best one so far was the one with borderless Lilli and the silverback in it. I was shocked to see 2 non- foil mythics in 1 pack :o

Bought a set booster box for fun and got 1 Liliana's, foil stained glass Jodah, foil Ajani, stained glass Karn, and a phyrexian text Sheoldred. Basically hit the absolute nuts on mythics lol.
The new sound effects make me feel like I'm in a casino, which is apt considering this is just gambling.
