"Keep it Warm" off Born Again always felt a bit like a country song to me, don't know why, that's the vibe I get from its melody. Great album though, also find Never Say Die terribly underrated really like that one too. With Dio I favor Mob Rules, it has a clear opened-up less boxed-in sound.

Cool list and discussion, thanks! Agree about a lot of this. Born Again is one of my favorite Sabbath albums, always been. I like it more than the Dio albums (for some reason I could never stand Dio's voice, it sounds cartoonish to me, like a parody of classic heavy metal - and I realize that it's a very unpopular opinion, and if you love Dio I totally get it and respect your taste)
Thanks...I'm a big fan of Born Again also...I have met people who didn't care for Dio, feeling maybe he was a bit to over the top. Ozzy laid the template for the Sabbath sound and everyone after him would be compared to this.
I heard when 13 was made tony iomoii had cancer and didn’t know how much time he had left that’s why 13 was made but thankfully tony iomoii is still alive
The Tony Martin era has some really great songs in it but I can understand if someone was raised on the Ozzy or Dio stuff the Martin stuff may have felt to "different" for them..I like it though.
It's hard to wrap my head around it as a Black Sabbath album. Honestly, it would work just as well as a Whitesnake album. Headless Cross is a good album it's just not a good Black Sabbath album.
Also, it has less to do with Tony Martin as the singer. Case in point Eternal Idol is a better Black Sabbath album to me than Headless Cross and Tony Martin songs on both.
At 3 minutes your friend said it that Neal murray was on headless but it's all good my memory gets a little messed up it's all good still enjoy you guys show

@@dmcclo2578 Both albums are as shit as each other , The whole painful Tony Martin era needs to be forgotten & never spoken of again.
TYR is awesome !
At 3 minutes your friend said that not you not knocking any of your show I forget too it's all good
Headless Cross vinyl selling for big bucks🥁
Luckily, I got one before the prices went crazy on it
