@@N_W677 Ugh, I hate that label. Just remind of me a handful really BAD US bands from the mid 80's. I am glad that "Cross over" never stuck. Which is why you'll see so many 7" even today with written shit on em like "Metal Punks in the Throws of Drunken Destruction" or something like that instead of "Board Shorts and Hightops spin-kicking posers in the face in the dead of night part 2" Maybe its because I am 46 and live in NYC and our cross over was fucking awful.
Holy Crap does this take me back. Thanks so much for posting it. I used to listen to this EP on a Walkman while jogging. After I was done I'd stop and smoke a cigarette.
Melhor presente de um amigo... ...Foi a algum tempo, mas sinto a energia e a coragem aqui presente com este vinil, presente dele, adoro ver as fotos antigas de skate e bike dele. Representou pra caramba. Sempre presente Maurinho.
This is the shit right here!! One of the originators and one of the best of what us "Yanks" across the pond call crossover. This is my heart, brothers. Thank-you, YA LIMEY BASTARDS!!!!!
I prefer the old school punk English Dogs, but I think this one is even better than Mad Punks or Porky Men.....sounds a bit inspired by Ultraviolent in places (well, sounds exactly like Ultraviolent with Adie on vocals). The production on this is also just the fucking best, those drums and chunky guitars are how punk should still sound...
You're right, American crossover bands like D.R.I., Corrosion Of Conformity, Agnostic Front, Attitude Adjustment, Cro-Mags were faster and sounded more modern than this. To me British bands like English Dogs, Broken Bones, Exploited, The Blood, Warfare, G.B.H. are metal punk while American acts such as Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., Cryptic Slaughter, S.O.D., Ludichrist, The Crumbsuckers are crossover proper. A British crossover band would be Heresy.
Yes it does. A lot of the big four bands did take some things from the new wave of British metal bands knowing that no one was going to call them out on it. I think that's what happened. Listen to the song rainbow warrior, by the band bleak House. You could definitely tell you've heard that intro riff somewhere before.
When some of my fuckin’ friends told me that this shit is better than anything *Broken Bones* ever released, I was stoked to give it a listen. And bloody hell was I ever let down. Cause this shit is weak as hell.
Side A
1. 00:01 Ambassador of Fear
2. 02:58 The Chase Is On
Side B

I have 2 originals on record. I would be happy to gift a true warrior.....
Invasion of the Porky Men?!
I’d also put rattus sacrelige discharge coc gism and a few others up there but this is up there
Obrigado por essa obra prima
I was watching to One Hundred And One Dalmatians, then I got recommended English Dogs. Nice algorithm TH-cam, honestly.
Criminally underrated. I bought this off the shelf when it came out.
I love how the fast shit is punk and the slower stuff is metal. Def crossover.
I played this so many times on the Radio here in Melbourne Australia, brings back many memories...
Группа превосходная🔥👍🤘🤘🤘альбом безумно крут,просто улёт!!!!
WELCOME ❤
They were at the front of the curve with this in 1984. Great live back then
To The End Of Earth is the best metal punk record!!!!
yes,jawohl.thats it.
only outdone by their own Metalmorphosis EP in '86, yeah English Dogs were one of the best and so underrated
Cross over *

After much ongoing research, I've come to the same conclusion
To this day, my all-time favorite band..

When punks listen to metal it sounds like this excellence!
It’s a known fact that punks play metal better with so much fucking attitude. Listen to this loud and try to deny it.

Fantastic album. Thanks for sharing 🙂

That's pretty good... I don't know if it's crossover, does not sound like D.R.I. to me, for instance... It's a blend of punk and metal... Very good...
