    When I grow up I want to be just like you! Enjoy how "clean" your builds are!

      +DIY3DTECH.com You're funny man. Thanks for the compliment.

      LOL! especially since I am likely old to be your Dad (or at least uncle) . That a side what did you print those brackets in as those standoffs are really small for the micro-switch and when I have tried stuff like that they break off after the first use or so...

      +DIY3DTECH.com I don't know about that, lol. I'm getting up there in age too. I used 3D pen PLA filament from Amazon. It comes in a box with an assortment of colors. The gray stuff seems to be pretty strong compared to the others in the box.

    at 02:08, how come the machine uses 2 velocities? One fast, until switch is near the end of course, and then, one slow, until switch is triggered?

    Very nice part, looking forward to see the wiring. Cheers

      +Shaun Whiteley Yeah, should be hitting the wiring within a few days, hopefully.

    Wouldn't your wires fatigue is they're attached the the moving spindle?

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  ปีที่แล้ว

      Over time... Yes, metal fatigue will happen. Not any more or less than the spindle wires or the wires in the Wire Tracks though.

    Charlie I love your work can you give the dims for these parts or even sell a set?

    What happens if you G0 right up to the limit?

    great work, love 3d printed fittings. do you need to put two switches on each axis, can you use the soft limits, would simplify things

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Masso CNC Controllers Thanks. Yeah, the 3D printing sure comes in handy, for sure. I'll mess with the soft limits as I'm doing the X home switch. This is the first time I'm playing with homing/limits, so I'll test it out and go from there. If I only need the home switch for X and Y, then that would certainly cut the work in half, lol.

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Masso CNC Controllers Yep, soft limits it is. Been messing around with it trying things out. That's the way to go. Seems like it would also be better for the machine as well since the stops are not sudden. Thanks for the heads up.

    Works without cables ? Hm....

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, this video is just building the switch assembly. The wiring is a few videos later.

      @@sunny5rising good idea ! But better on the construction ( not bends cables ) it's secured on the construction or body of z axis.
      I make right know small cnc at home. I like to make z axis hard limit switch on fixed construction, not movable construction. All limit switch is on fixed construction

  • @vishakhasrivastava7951
    @vishakhasrivastava7951 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    after limit switch is pressed , how this machine backs off from the axis?

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once pressed, the axes move opposite until switch is again closed (or open, depending on how it's wired) very slowly, then stops.

    • @vishakhasrivastava7951
      @vishakhasrivastava7951 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sunny5rising is there any command? because in my machine its not backing off after limit switch is pressed

    • @vishakhasrivastava7951
      @vishakhasrivastava7951 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sunny5rising but when limit switch is pressed the machine is stopped and the axis is not moving in opposite direction

    Hi. I don't have a printer would you sell them. Can they work on a 6040??

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Contact me at sunny5rise@gmail.com and we can discuss it. Not sure if they will fit, we'll have to take measurements.

  • @louiscypher7090
    @louiscypher7090 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you sell those 3d printed pieces?

    • @sunny5rising
      @sunny5rising  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have some sets printed out with some modifications compared to the printed parts seen in this video. If you wish, email me at sunny5rise@gmail.com and we'll discuss parts and price.

  • @chrislx2006
    @chrislx2006 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sadly your 3D printed parts do not fit the newest versions of this machine, the spindle holder is a little different. Nice idea though, I'll modify the designs.
