What oil do you use for this engine? I can’t seem to find what’s mentioned in the instructions as “Valvoline Two Stroke Racing Oil,” is this the same as Valvoline multi purpose oil for two stroke engines? I also already have Lucus’s semi-synthetic 2-Cycle oil, is it safe to use?
Yes, run at 20 parts of gas to one of oil, as mentioned in the Vid. If you’re mixing fuel by the tankful, figure 1.5 ounces per quart, or three ounces of oil per 2 liter tank. These *Chin-Lee Engines* need all the oil-help they can get, so I’d go even heavier on oil for the first few tanks, like four ounces per tank, and adjust the carb so the engine is on the verge of blubbering at steady throttle.
Hey man! Love the video brotha, I just got my Phantom 85 today and upon assembly the rings are actually fairly easy for me to install, My main issue is the studs seems to be extremely stiff because getting the jug/cylinder to go down is a little difficult but it goes down up until the bottom where it feels like it gets stuck frozen in its track about half an inch to the bottom before being fully seated. I can move the piston up and down still while its cracked open slightly and its not snagged on anything and moves up and down as it should. I don't want to break the rings and i've already tried gently tapping the cylinder down to seat all the way but still nothing. What should I do?
@@danajett ikr lol. If you aren't comfy with doing the work yourself then yeah pay someone but I managed to get it to fit by shaving the threads on the studs all the way at the bottom because they aren't required, only top threads are required to torque the cylinder down.
