she releases very few songs as she writes and produces almost all her solo songs ..all the songs u have reacted are after she left JYP... when she was in JYP she has 2 solo songs 24 hrs and full moon....i think u will like full moon....for bside i think black pearl, curve and who am i ft jackson are ones that i recommend...also she has an english song borderline which she has a dance video which is about her mental health as sunmi has borderline disorder

I've heard about Sunmi but never got to know about her until I watched Running Girls with Sunmi, Hani, Chung Ha, YooA and the cutest Chuu. They really opened up about their personal lives and what they've been trough and I fell in love with Sunmi and the beautiful human being she is. And then I fell in love with her music too, she's so powerful and she's always sending great messages about acceptance and being strong. 🤍

As someone else who also enjoys kpop more for the sound of the vocals and the Instrumentals I always appreciate your perspective. Sunmi really has a unique retro sound that some even call “sunmi pop” these days. I read in an interview that she was influenced by Prince music like When Doves Cry early in her career and you can hear it sometimes. You should react to "Borderline special video", it's probably her most personal MV (even if it's not really a MV but more a performance), the lyrics hit hard. I really think you'll like the beat and her voice.

Sunmi should be here own genre for real. Heroine is possibly my favorite one.
She has really created her own style, not only in kpop, but in music in general and she has such a unique voice.
I honestly can't pick a favorite song of hers, I love all of them, it has never happened to me that I love a whole discography of an artist but something about Sunmi's music is special. Noir is definitely top 5 songs if had to choose, it's a masterpiece.

“Why so lonely” is a fun MV with a reggae sound. It’s from Sunmi’s 2nd run with the Wonder Girls and it has the added bonus of Sunmi playin bass.
The more I see of Sunmi, the more I absolutely adore her and her music. You're so right to say she's unique and a part of that is her charisma I feel. She puts that into her voice, which is amazing, but is also so dynamic. Also with her choreo, she puts in a lot of energy and there doesn't seem to be any hesitation in what she does or how she moves. Every release of hers is exciting for that reason, because I feel like there's a clear style there, but she's always bringing something new to the table.

I would say it's hard to be unique and successful in the kpop industry. I never noticed sunmi when she was in wondergirls tbh but she is one of the few top soloist I love right now

Omg yess Noir is like my favorite song of hers! I'm also very curious what you think about Lalalay! I really loved that song but i think some people didnt really like it?
I didn't really like it at first listen because I found the chorus kind of "stupid", but after learning the meaning of "Nallari" and what it means in korean I started appreciate it much more, since the chorus now made sense, and then I absolutely loved it. I know Sunmi was disappointed that people didn't seem to like it as much, which makes me sad because I know most people loved it.

I discovered your channel recently and finished bingewatching your Sunmi reactions. Vocals are definitely unique and one of my favorites in the industry.
If you don't mind me giving a recommendation, please check out her last two comebacks from her original girl group, Wonder Girls. The songs are I Feel You and Why So Lonely. You've mentioned Sunmi's retro vibes in a few of your reactions, which may stem from the fact that Wonder Girls were known as the Queens of Retro in kpop. The 2 tracks I suggested are great examples of it. Plus, the group decided to focus on learning and performing instruments for these songs.

didn't notice that she was bone thin in the heroine MV damn... that's kinda scary
yeah she was unhealthy skinny at that time, she has commented on it herself. She is naturally very skinny and tall, as her brothers are too, but during Heroine and Siren she was way too skinny. She also takes in a lot what her "fans" say about her weight and that saddens me, she has also stayed up late binge eating to gain weight before, which isn't healthy either.
But these last years she has been looking very healthy.
