A huge part of what makes them so great is that their talent is so untouchable, they can do whatever they want and it speaks for itself. Their humor just draws you in. But when it's time to be serious they can pull on the heartstrings. They never fail to amaze me. Each song stands on its own merit and you never know which side of them you're going to get. Thanks for your reactions. You are a blast to watch discover them.
It doesn't matter how long it took you. You realized. And you did it WHILE laughing. That makes up for anything done incorrectly. LMAO!!!. Thanx for admitting it also. THAT takes guts, Adam.
OK, a new subscriber with some trivia for ya: the first song is “Honkeytonk Badonkadonk” by Trace Adkins. The line “slap your grandma” is based on a Southern/ Country Phrase of something being so good it’ll make you slap yo’ grandma (or momma). Lol. The guys purposefully chose to focus on themselves instead of women shaking their stuff, and another nod to that is the guy in overalls. He’s a friend of the band and appears in “Can’t stop the feelin’ “and a couple of others. The overalls are the ones Tim wore in “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget”. The fit and length are a nod to a song by Maddie & Tae called “Girl in a Country Song” about the role of girls in modern country songs; skintight jeans cut-offs, bikini tops, shakin’ their money-makers and making “him” look good in front of friends. Enjoy your a cappella reactions and hope you keep going with them.
Hahaha this is too funny. These guys are a riot. Yeah a Butts Medley so they put all the butts song in and made a medley. It’s so good and these guys don’t mind being goofballs. Now, they have a lot of silly songs but they also have some great serious songs too, but the thing is serious or silly, they sound so good. Beatboxer was crazy good. The guy in the overalls in the end is a friend of Rob’s (he was wearing the sunglasses in this video). His name is Beugs and he’s showed up in other videos. They often use family and friends in their videos. For some serious songs try Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, Die a Happy Man. Good reaction Adam
I love the videos where they don't take themselves seriously. Thanks for reacting to this one. If you'd like something more serious, try In the Blood. Castle on the Hill is awesome, too, especially if you watch the live version. It shows how they can loop their voices live.
The guy in the overalls is Eric Buegler, a friend of the band and most notably Rob (the guy with the bushy beard who sings tenor). They have been friends forever and have a podcast together about their love of movies, called the Avid Indoorsman. Buegs has been in a number of HF videos.
An oldie but goodie with Chris the original member. Hilarious but really complicated. They do plenty of more serious videos also. Helplessly Hoping and In the Blood are good examples.
The guy in the overalls is Buegs he is a friend to the group, Fun fact The overalls that he is wearing are the same overalls that Tim wears in the video for champagne taste on a beer budget. If you haven't watch that one yet you have to that's another one of their funny videos. That one is an original that was written by Tim
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They are an awesome group (as you can tell). They can be serious, but a lot of their vids are playful like this one is. They have over 150 vids on YT. Do NOT do Mayday until you hear & know each member's vocals within the group. They kind of turn it all on it's head with who does what role. You'll need to be 7-10 songs in at least before hitting that one. 😉 The guy in the shorty overalls is Beugs...who is Rob's (beard/glasses dude) friend. He makes a guest appearance in some of their vids. They usually do covers, but also have some original stuff too (Tim-the super bass-has written some stuff too).
So the guy in the cowboy hat is Chris Rupp, Adam's (beatboxer's) brother. He left for solo stuff. On his channel though he talks about when they did this song and said that right before Adam does the scratching part Tim dropped in to take over with bass/percussion so that whole part where he's dancing on Rob he was doing that. :) These guys have a lot of fun videos but they do get serious too. I'd say songs like In the Blood, When a Man Loves a Woman, Mayday, any of their hymn covers like How Great Thou Art (PLEASE listen to this... it's just harmonies and beautiful and you even get to hear Adam sing for a brief moment!), Do You Hear What I Hear (another great one arranged by Adam) and the list goes on... lol. I'd say they're about half and half with the ratio of serious to silly. Though more were silly during quarantine when they were recording from home. Great reaction too! :)
I AM SO GLAD YOU DID THIS ONE! YAY!!!!! It gets better and better every time you hear it, because you pick up on something else you hadn't noticed before. This made my day. Thank you!
Great reaction when you realized what was happening. :) The guys really like having a fun and goofy time. There are a lot of requests for songs and you can't miss, all of the songs are amazing. Helplessly Hoping...amazing. Thanks always enjoy your reactions.
Loved your reaction to this, disbelief followed by realisation. They are so much fun. I'd recommend All About That Bass. There's a behind the scenes blooper video too that is hilarious!
Even when they are at their silliest, the song/vocals are still top-notch excellence. The skill it takes to combine 6 or more songs with different beats and make them seamless is just mind-blowing. Excellent reaction, Adam! Thanks!
This is one of those Home Free songs where there is so much going on that you have to watch it over and over to take it all in. I still see and hear new things and I've lost count of how many times I've listened to it. And it still always makes me smile.
Great reaction! Another great mashup of songs that Home Free did is Country Fried Pop. It's another funny and cute one, with incredible vocals as usual
Adam, these guys can just do almost anything. They can be serious, like in Helplessly Hoping, which is amazing and like art, or funny as heck...but no matter what the music is always great
There's nothing not to love about this video but my two favorite things are Tim eating the ham sammich and headbanging to Fat Bottomed Girls. This video is straight up genius.
I think you'd enjoy "How Great Thou Art", Adam (beatboxer) sings a couple of lines and he too, has a beautiful voice. "Amazing Grace" with Peter Hollens. "O Holy Night", "Helplessly Hoping" and "Misty Mountains" with Peter Hollens and Tim Foust, only. There's no beatboxing in any of these songs. There's simply to many to choose from!
Oh My, your facial expressions for the first half were priceless....:). Its refreshing...they have the talent to do the most complicated and intricate pieces but don't take themselves too seriously and have us rolling in the aisle with a few of these. They're unique!
Fun fact. Layne from VoicePlay helped arrange this medley along with Adam and Chris Rupp. They brought Layne in to help with the transitions from song to song.
You're actually the first out of all the "reactors" to realize this was a remix aka "medley" aka mash-up. Kudos. Double Kudos for noticing the fat man in overalls.
I especially love that they don't objectify women here but rather show appreciation for the female form while poking fun at their own backsides! Takes class to pull that off.
I think its time for that back to back of "Misty Mountains - Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust" and "Cam - Mayday (Home Free Cover)". I think doing these back to back would get your best reaction just remember to do Misty Mountains first.
Fantastic! And I love to watch and find out when they first glimpse "Beuggs," Rob's buddy. They do a podcast together and you'll see him in several of their videos. Great reaction as always!! ❤
Great reaction! They have great serious songs as well to check out..Helplessly Hoping, How great thou art, everybody walkin this land and it’s in the blood are amazing!
I love this hilarious song. I like to watch your expressions. Great reaction after you realized what was going on! Did you hear them sing “ham sammlch” (sandwich)? And then in the background Tom was eating it!
So funny. First time I heard this it was too 'busy'. Now I blast it when I need to get through a lot of work. Energizing. Love the smooth transitions AND the crazy video.
this is definitely a funny one, especially if you know all the songs....they did a great job....especially getting all of these different timed songs to go together at one tempo.
Son, you have GOT to get into the Southern groove with these guys! Half of their stuff is glorious, the other half is regional hilarious----ness.❤ you're so cute!
That stunned look at the beginning is precious! But, come on, the name of the video didn't give you a hint? I mean, especially knowing it was Home Free. The most talented group of fun loving overgrown boys you will ever find!
You've been far enough down the HomeFree rabbit hole you might appreciate Mayday or Helplessly Hoping both are stunning in different ways - or if you don't mind out of season Do You Hear What I Hear (Adam Rupp- the Beatboxer did the arrangement and it's very cool)
If you want to see more of their personalities?!? I’m certain all my fellow HomeFries will agree that you need to see their version of All About The Bass as well as Countyrifried Pop Medley! I know you get requests and recommendations every second but these are VERY MUCH worth your time!!
I agree... but, tell me, what of their stuff isn't worth it? I watch all of their stuff every day... a lot of the day. They have helped me deal with a LOT of pain!
The do an incredible cover of Johnny Cash Fulsom Prison Blues, I highly recommend. Tim Foust, the bass has a 5 octave range, and can do pretty much anything.
I can well understand your love of Homefree, we are all addicted! I think you now need to meet another A Capella group...Pentatonix. I would recommend you start with Hallelujah, followed by Amazing Grace and The Prayer. Those are the more serious ones...then there are tons of fun and crazy ones thar folks will recommend...enjoy.
Adam, I found your channel tonight, please forgive me and I had to laugh at the face you made at the beginning due to the lyrics "slap your grandma". That is a Southern saying in America, it means something is really really good. (So good you'd risk slapping Grandma to get it, cause slapping Grandma could cause you to loose your teeth from a punch in the face)
Please react to Gerphil Flores "Somewhere in Time" or "Never Enough" Also another good one would be Within Temptation duet Titled "Somewhere-Best duet ever. Another duet is with Linda Eder with Christiana Knoelle called "In His eyes" the one they are in costumes in.
Your reaction videos or Home Free are fantastic. Have you checked out Hillbilly Bone yet? You also need to check out their version of Elvira done with the Oak Ridge Boys!
Hi friend! You can become a Patron here! thank you all so much ❤ www.patreon.com/AdamCouser
You should react to Chris Stapleton Sometimes I Cry Live Bing Lounge. He has one of the best voices.
What a GREAT remix!! Loved it! Great harmonies and beatboxing! Great reaction!! I love Home Free😊
Thing about this video is you can watch it a thousand times and notice something different each time. They dont take themselves very seriously
Hello from Canada🇨🇦 HOMEFREE guys are my all time favourites !They are amazing live.
A huge part of what makes them so great is that their talent is so untouchable, they can do whatever they want and it speaks for itself. Their humor just draws you in. Part of their awesomeness is being able to have fun, laugh at them selves, and be serious.
Adam your reactions are so much fun.

When Home Free makes a cover, they don't make it better: they make it theirs
Definitely!
Absofuckinglutely. Your comment is perfect, John.
Great reaction! Another great mashup of songs that Home Free did is Country Fried Pop. It's another funny and cute one, with incredible vocals as usual
Adam, these guys can just do almost anything. They can be serious, like in Helplessly Hoping, which is amazing and like art, or funny as heck...but no matter what the music is always great
This is my 9 year olds favorite song. It has been on Repeat at my house for almost a month. Im still not tired of it. It is just such a fun song.
I have been waiting for this one and your facial expressions were worth the wait! Glad it made you laugh.
hope you liked it Arlene!
There's nothing not to love about this video but my two favorite things are Tim eating the ham sammich and headbanging to Fat Bottomed Girls. This video is straight up genius.
I love his smile when he’s being shown how to dance- it’s adorable 🥰
Tim is adorable!
OMG your reactions just make me laugh! The look on your face when it first started was priceless! I knew you would love this one!
Thanks Patricia!

Priceless reaction. Laughing with you my friend. I had to watch it a few times just wrap my head around it and catch the details. Thank you.
You could check out Austin brown music and he does a bunch of covers on his own as well. He does unchained melody and it showes his full voice range.
I can't believe you didn't understand the purpose of this medley until halfway through. lol
Son, you have GOT to get into the Southern groove with these guys! Half of their stuff is glorious, the other half is regional hilarious----ness.❤ you're so cute!

Loved your reaction. Thanks for sharing.
You've been far enough down the HomeFree rabbit hole you might appreciate Mayday or Helplessly Hoping both are stunning in different ways - or if you don't mind out of season Do You Hear What I Hear (Adam Rupp- the Beatboxer did the arrangement and it's very cool)
Keep up the good work - I have as much fun watching your reaction as I do their video
Hi from South Africa. In 2016 they had a patreon party and did "songs that didn`t make the cut". I am new to your channel and enjoying it, thank you.
Home free just dropped Brother 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They set all this up. Then at the end of they day Rob called a buddy. The dude in the overalls.
That man in the overalls is a friend of Tims.
They love what they do.
Watch " Dirt Road Anthem" by Jason Aldean. Big surprise in the song
So much fun!!
If you want to hear the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) do his thing, watch his drum solo (2015) from a live show. Will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!
The look on your face was priceless. 😄
