I can hardly wait to get my hands on some of these. I have been wanting to see this vehicle in this scale for a long time. Thanks for making my dreams come true.
@@stevengriffin7873 M113 did undergo modernization. I think Saudi Arabia and the IDF are still using them; I don't know about the US military. There are so many up-armored options that if conversion kits are available, I may have to build several versions.
Beautiful box art and detailed kit. I do not collect 1/16 and I did not want to but you made my favorite vehicle in 1/16, so I am going to get couple of that kit.
Now that you have this kit it should be easy to develop a M113A3 kit. I commanded one in Korea in 1989 and it served me very well. The fact that it was brand new helped.
congrats Andy on the model and magazine. BTW did the 50 ammo can get corrected as it was a ww2 style not vietnam plus is the flash hider taken off as we never used them they were just in the gear we signed for. thanks
Andy it's a ripper . Just a small note on the flak jacket . It looks like a M1955 jacket , they were used by the USMC . The jacket you need is the M69 that ties up at the side .
Andy, I noticed that the crew figures, both the driver and the TC, wore flak jackets. While that was common practice in the Marines, in Vietnam, the Army grunts and Cav troopers didn't often wear them. Even after the war, in the states and Germany they weren't worn by the crews of the M113A1s. They were considered of questionable value by pretty much everybody. Track drivers often just sat on them and/or covered the deck below their feet with the things, as landmines were a serious hazard for them in particular. So, those figures look great, but ones without vests would be better... Been there done that - 1/11 Infantry Bn, (Mech) Ralph My pre-order is already in the books.
I believe the soles on the boots for the figures look like the late 3rd pattern with Panama soles. These show up very late in the war. It would have been more appropriate to show the boots with earlier Vibram soles, which most troops were issued. The problem with Vibram soles was that the mud would clog the spaces and was hard to "clear" for lack of a better word. That's why the Panama soles were developed. But if I'm not mistaken, they didn't even get put into production until around '67, or '68, and you all know how the military is, get rid of the old stuff first.
Possible future additional release ideas = Australian FSV turret, Cadillac Gage turret and equipment to change the M113 into either a Israeli style vehicle or a fitter version.
So all you aftermarket fella need to produce a conversion kit to Australian A1 version. T50 turret, twin 30, 50 cal ammo racks smoke grenades etc etc. There are fuel and water jerry's in 1/16 but how great will it be.also some figures 33C out
@@Mizone505 made the T50, cast it, with several made. Fitted with brass 50's or 30's. Have enough individual metal tracks for 3 vehicles which l got someone to produce for me. Been working on 3 vehicles T50, Saladin & Scorpion turrets (Scorp turret also completed) everything in 1/16.
They keep producing these 1/16 scale models. People will need another house just to display them in. Most people don't have the room for these size models.
No see-through holes in M60 MG bipod?... In this scale it looks pretty bad. I add holes to my 1/35 M60s, as they are too small to be molded, but in 1/16 they should really be molded in. Not hard to add at all, but we shouldn't have to. The wheels look much better now though!
This is one that figures will really bring it to life!! 1/16 starting to feel like the new 1/35 for us older chaps :)
Those wheels make it look like a M113 now. Bravo to all for correcting. Will definitely pick this one up. 😊
Those figures are some of the best yet.
I have not been so excited over a model before. It brings me back to the past. Will have to search for a dozer blade to add to the model.
Be great for Jason to do some Aussies

I hope all kinds of modern update armor sets will be available.
So are they still using it today?

You need to get out more. 😂
Superbe maquettes ......
So, when are you going to come out with the M48a5 or M60a3 for Vietnam or cold war era?
any chance of a t-50 turret for this kit?

would be a cool mod as a tissue box!

@wogrio where did you get all of that from mate ?

Arms Corps Models has already stated working on the conversion.
@@jasonmiller4712 jason i just emailed you on gmail. I dont do Facebook so could we use the email for comms ?

Would be nice for CVC helmet options. This same vehicle was used well into the 90s. Or produce a separate modern figure.
Any chance of a 90's to early 2000's Combat Engineer version coming? An A2 or A3 model towing an M58 MICLIC on an M200A1 tracked trailer.
Andy, never mind the shipping, duty is a killer here in Canada 😢
any chance of getting a canadian one with the tow missle launcher on it. ??
Spot on Andy!!
Nice. Wish someone would offer a M106 mortar carrier version (4.2” mortar). I was an 11C mortarman for 23 years.
Looking at one to go with my rc tanks for the middle eastern conflict and wondering how hard it will be to make it rc
Andy it’s called a M one one three.
we called it 10000 l thermos in the German Army.
Any updates?
External fuel tanks would be nice to have
Does anyone know where to buy military model craft magazine that isn't a digital copy? I can not find them anywhere!
Does it have engine detail? Also who is the manufactuer?
何故、エンジンが再現されて無いのですか?残念です😢OPにてエンジンの販売の予定は、あるのですか?
When is the command post, M48 Patton, a Huey and a Mutt coming out

Do you ship to Canada for your online store
Yes we have a Canadian website you can order from. Andyshhq.ca
oh Andy that pre order of $113 in U.S.A the price in Europe on Andy's site is 129 euro so what's going on there
The figure looks very detailed.worth noting that his Flak vest is a Marine type.
Nicely done figures, but shouldn't one be Andy's likeness??
Derrick Road
I'm hoping a 1/16 German Panther in the future.
😮
Andy did Scott make some of the figures look like Afro-Americans ?
I'm hoping for an Israeli upgrade kit please first 1 ordered just 2 more m113,s to get lol
