@@RasmusVJS Both he and Perfuma are supposed to be trans by word of God, but I am pretty sure I remember the writers saying they don't feel they deserve any credit for trans representation because they never made it explicit that either of them are trans.
I get the feeling Netflix is who stopped them from coming out and saying so, but that's only a guess. A writer saying that aloud would probably never work again.
I think what made Bow so upset wasn't necessarily the fact that Glimmer set off the Heart of Etheria. It was that Adora and Bow warned Glimmer of the dangers, but she decided to trust Shadow Weaver over her friends. That broken trust was the trigger. It makes Glimmer's line "Just, trust me!" much more impactful. But that's my headcanon.
Next time on She-Ra: Adora showing she's the 'punch your feelings out' guy.

I don’t know why, but I find this reveal (and the ship) extremely cute!
It the little moments through the series that really make this. Rogelio bandaging Kyle's arm or scooping up Kyle when they jumped ship back in Season One. The doodles of a blonde-haired lizardfolk child in Rogelio's locker in Season Three. Kyle's attempted heroic sacrifice in Season Four and how gently Lonnie and Rogelio treat Kyle after they bring him to safety.
Kinda wish we had subtitles for Rogelio's speech.

Mosco, do remember that Glimmers actions may have CAUSED THE TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF THEIR PLANET! It doesn’t really matter how sorry you are at that point, I think Bow has a right to be mad at her for causing that and not just let it go straight away when they expressly told her not to
Glimmer messed up worse than anyone has ever messed up before. I'm so impressed how believable it was that she got to that point, I thought it was super well done.
Based on the power of the weapon after charging for 1000 years, and the fact that every star in the sky sent a little blip in towards the sword, there is the possibility it may have been targeting EVERYTHING in at least their part of the galaxy. That would have caused destruction on a scale that would make the Death Star blush.

I really love the moment near the end of the episode where Adora just gives a sniffling nod when Glimmer asks if she wants to rescue Catra. She feels both anguished over what must be happening to her and guilty for wanting to put their lives in jeopardy for her, because she knows it's a selfish, dangerous decision.
It's the tiny, second-long touches that really sell a scene.
No spoilers for the next episode, but...Bow's heart, Glimmer's wings, Catra's face shield. Keep those in mind. Keep them on repeat.

I think you're right about Bow. Yes, he's angry that Glimmer's recklessness caused so much harm, but also terrified that he almost lost his closest companion, and the fear and the anger got muddled up. But, I also think there's an element of, he's spent so much time being the level-headed one who never gets angry. It's clear that that's something he puts a lot of care and effort into. So, when he _did_ become seriously angry, it was like a dam breaching - enough to overwhelm him.
Also: Entrapta definitely fucks the spaceship. What the logistics of that looks like, or what that even _means,_ I can only speculate, but she 100% did it. I see no other way to interpret that scene.
I also like that we had a hint of this kind of break forming back in Season 4's "Boys' Night Out". Bow getting very upset that he's the one constantly trying to pull people together. So the cracks were already there...!

@@wolphstrykesanother detail I like is that Adora becomes noticeably more supportive of Bow after Mer-mysteries. Adora recognized she had been neglecting Bow and changed her behaviour. Glimmer did the opposite.

I'm just... The thought of Horde Prime conquering a nearby system, taking a look at our planet, and thinking to himself, "Yeah, not touching that one.", is kinda hilarious.
Could be a different Eridani, though.
My most favorite HILARIOUS scene in this episode is the “‘DON’T GO TOWARDS THE LIGHT!!!’ ‘It’s not THAT kind of light.’” Scene. The moment I first saw that saying I was like laughing my ass off.
Plus, that little light owl Glory was very cute. I wish there was a a little plushy or a little collectable figurine for it.

"She-Ra is not a sword. She-Ra is you!"
And while Adora only heard the latter quote, here She IS.
A lot of people seem to think this episode is a bit mediocre, and while I agree it doesn't really stand out seeing as it's sandwiched between two extremely good and memorable episodes, I do think it's a fantastic decision to have a whole episode in between Corridors and Save The Cat both to let the audience and characters breathe a little, but also to build up suspense and tension in the back of your mind since we don't see Catra at all. And of course they needed to foreshadow She-Ra coming back. In other words, Stranded gets an undeservedly bad reputation due to fulfilling a practical but not very flashy role of being a sort of "bridge".

Im honestly pretty happy they had bow be mad. There's no denying it was justified. Glimmer had stopped treating them like friends and treated them like her servants(even though she kind of wanted to protect them). They told her she was wrong and would potentially doom the planet and she executed her power as queen over them, giving them an order. That being said, I'm glad the mini arc didn't last too long.
soon we'll learn the lessen that this show has been trying to teach us "we don't throw tanks at our friends"

Bow never really had a chance to process and get past his hurt feelings that Glimmer shattered their bond of trust and put all of Etheria in danger, and he's been seeing Adora destroy herself in grief over not being She-Ra anymore, which she only had to do because Glimmer chose to activate the Heart. He's been throwing all of his attention into just getting to and saving her and hasn't thought about how he'd feel once he actually could see her safe and sound again. This is why it's important to let yourself feel things, Bow!
Thankfully, they'll be fine, because they're sweethearts
In my own personal opinion in this episode are two of the most hilarious jokes: Entrapta saying she and darla will have "quality Time" together 👀 and the part when Adora clarifies she is smart AND mean she Will not going to run away 😂

Yeah, pretty sure the majority of fans were concerned about Catra's well-being after the ending of season 5, episode 3. Also, I agree with Elijah that I'm excited to see your reaction to season 5, episode 5!
The thing is that I do get where Glimmer was coming from in her decisions, but I never agreed with the fact that she outright chose to not even take the time to listen to her closest friends. As a matter of fact, previously she had begun to listen to Shadowweaver(a well-known manipulator) more than them. I fully believe a big part of this all also comes down to the fact that she did have to take over the mantle of Queen at a very young age, and we all have seen she can be very rash about the decisions she makes(as we've seen throughout the show since the beginning) so while her actions upset me, I love the fact that they make sense for the character she is. The show again does a wonderful job of building and fleshing out many of the characters imo.
Honestly, I had never thought about it, but the moment Scorpia mentioned the fact that Kyle had a crush on Rojellio I was like: "Okay, yeah, they'd make a wholesome couple!"
I know to some people it may seem like Bow is holding a bit too much of a grudge in this episode, but I personally feel he's justified. Throughout the ENTIRE show, he's the one who always puts on a smile and calms others down and mends friendships. I can't blame him for finally being upset when his best friend wouldn't even take time to listen to him. I also like that he's upset, as it gives another character the chance to take over that role and be there for him in the same way he was always there for others.
The eyebrow wiggle that Entrapta gives is probably one of my all-time favorite images that works great as a gif. lol
Adora: "I think I see a light...I'm going to go towards it!"

When Adora almost transforms into She-Ra, you can see her face reflected in the many crystal facets. All yelling in protective defiance.
The whole "light" conversation and the bumbling "it's complicated" conversations had me bellowing laughter.
I also really appreciate Glimmer's REAL apology. No excuses. Totally owning her errors and that Bow has his right of whether or not to accept her, and her determination to be better whether or not he is able to forgive and accept her again.
As for Bow... I agree. Complicated. Glimmer's rejection of his advice, her obsessed reach for power and the devastating results, and nearly losing her on top of that... that's a lot to process.
Also... Kyle and Rogelio... Entrapta and Darla. The ships (one of which includes a literal ship) we didn't know we needed. (Entrapta's eyebrow waggle was another laughter-bellow for me.)

The thing with Bow being mad at Glimmer is they tried REALLY hard to keep her from doing something that she was going to regret, only for her to not only not listen to them, but to listen to Shadow Weaver, the woman who is the reason that Adora and Catra are the way they are in the first place.
Not only that, she kept making more & more reckless decisions throughout S4, mostly because she was back in the mindset that if she, Bow and Adora aren't hanging out all the time, they'll stop being friends. Not being able to go on missions because she is the queen, and therefore the most important person in the entire Kingdom, Wade on her mind a lot, and despite having so many people around who are there to support her, she constantly made it seem like everyone was against her because they didn't want to do something that was likely going to destroy the planet and put everybody in danger just for the sake of winning a war. They essentially tried to keep her from using a nuclear missile that had enough power to destroy the planet, and she said "yeah, but we would still win, right?" She's focused on so much about what she's lost and the fear of what she THINKS she's losing, that she kept making reckless decisions, all starting with listening to Shadow Weaver at all. Bow himself was burnout from constantly trying to keep the peace & keep the squad together because he was the only one that seemingly still cared about that, always trying to advise her against any reckless decisions. He's her best friend, when she didn't get what she wanted, which is just for them to let produce something that she has been told several times is incredibly dangerous, she plays the "I am your Queen" Card just to get what she wants.
I understand why you want to cut Glimmer more slack than Catra, but if we're seriously going to make a comparison of who had a worse, Catra wins by a country mile. Yes Gkimmer didn't have her dad & was born into war she didn't start, but so was Catra, and unlike Glimmer, who grew up in a castle with a mom that despite being a helicopter parent actually did care about her kid, Catra grew up on what basically amounts to a military compound where people constantly gave her shit for no real reason & was treated like the toy that an abusive stepmom kept around just because her favorite daughter liked playing with it. That's not even exaggerating, that's Shadow Weaver's own words. Yeah Catra flipped a switch & basically rebooted reality, but that was at least able to be undone. What Glimmer did not only can't be undone, but will have ramifications for years to come & basically put a big bullseye on Etheria for Horde Prime to find. Yeah it sucks to see Bow mad Glimmer, but let's not act like he doesn't have a good reason why.

Bow’s feelings toward what Glimmer did is 100% valid. Not only did she set off the heart of Etheria, putting the planet at risk. But also she was treating Bow and Adora pretty terribly. Yeah she had a lot of weight on her shoulders but Bow and Adora are her friends. PLUS the fact that Bow and Glimmer were friends since childhood, her “betrayal” towards them would hit him harder than Adora.
Uh oh, now Horde Prime is gonna break up the two lesbian wives when they choose to join his cause and get divorced. Luckily, the rebels run into a prince at a nightclub that will marry them again once they get back together again.

tbh i think bow being mad at glimmer is very justified considering what happened
i mean, regardless of motive, the end result was she nearly destroyed not just etheria, but all the other planets around it
both glimmer and catra pushed away those who cared about them
both ignored warnings that their decisions wouldn't just destroy their enemies, but the entire world as well
both went ahead with those decisions anyway because of their increasing obsession to win (even if for different reasons) and regretted them too late
i love both of them now but i also hated them both at their worst moments lmao

I don't mean this disrespectfully at all, but I always find it kind of interesting how Glimmer got the softer reaction to her "almost blew up the world" phase from fans when she 1. conspired with Adora's abuser behind her back (and against her wishes) to formulate a plan that would turn Adora into a weapon, thus stripping her of her autonomy, and 2. blatantly ignored and gaslit her friends when they tried telling her how badly her plan would work out. Just because someone "had good intentions", doesn't mean they didn't do actual, lasting harm, and if I'm completely honest, I feel like she deserved more than just having to deal with Bow giving her the cold shoulder for a single episode.

i love this show and i legit think it's a masterpiece. my small issue comes in this episode because the bow being mad at glimmer felt forced to me while adora was quick to forgive her. and sure, adora is one to forgive quickly but things between adora and glimmer were REALLY bad in season 4 and i feel the show glossed over it. yes, bow was frustrated with how things went down between adora and glimmer but he was also frustrated with adora not just glimmer.
