    I never understood why people say you don't sleep when you have a newborn. It's when they turn 2 you can't sleep 😒. I went to the bathroom one night and I heard someone in the kitchen, it was my daughter and her father. They were covered in flour and crisco it was EVERYWHERE, so I asked what the hell happened and they looked at each other and then at me for a good 20 minutes. I never found out what happened but I know they both almost got evicted that night. I haven't slept peacefully since

    You are so right about being positive. What I noticed about new parents its not the baby, its there anxiety and wanting to hold and touch the baby all day. Put them down in something secure and take your showers and put your makeup on. You can find yourself an hour in one day if you would just relax! Then people wonder why the kids end up clingy. Relax they arent going anywhere for at least 18 years lol

      This is so true I've known women who literally don't bathe because they don't have time. Then their kids turn 2 or 3 and they can't even go to the restroom without their kid screaming their head off. It's a bit ridiculous. Balance is healthy lol

That value God first and foremost, marriage & family! ❤️ Because I'm a young girl & I value all these things and I want them all for myself & people make it seem like my God that I serve isn't worthy or that the lifestyle I want for myself and my future children isn't worthy because of what today's values are.... BUT I love God & I can't wait to see what my future has in store with me working hard for my degree and my family!

    Great video! A positive outlook on life and it's affairs is key! It also determines the outcome of situations! Your relationship with God and your optimism makes you the wonderful woman you are! Who you are comes across in your videos! You are my favorite YT?. You are the only YT that I can watch and it doesn't matter how long your videos are. Other YT, if there videos are longer than 9mins I may not watch. With you I hope for longer videos! I must admit I miss makeup tutorials! You look Great! Breastfeeding helps snatch the body back, the longer you breastfeed the better for you and Uriah! It was so sweet seeing Colton reading to Uriah!

    I completely agree with you on everything you said! My daughter was in newborn clothes for quit a while so I had to buy more also because everyone told me not to buy much. The same thing goes for other advice people gave me, I tried not to think to much into it because every baby is different but you know your baby and what they need and what's best for them. So I just brush off any advice people give me and go with my motherly instincts and what our pediatrician tells us lol. My daughter is 9 months old now and it's just so amazing watching her grow and learn new things. Mom life can get tough of course but it's so worth it. You're doing an amazing job and I'm so happy for you guys! 💜

    Every baby is different , you really don't know till they are here . My son were 0-3 right away and size 1 diapers . He was 8lbs 4.2 oz and the nurses even said the newborn clothes were too tight. When he hit 2 months he went to size 2 diapers , it really depends on the baby . I'm sorry u didn't purchase enough but he should fit in 0-3 in no time . I love you guys and parenting suits you both well . 😍

    • @Wavy-Waves
      @Wavy-Waves 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Love & Lyriq That is so true & people were saying that because the baby grows so fast. One day the size 1 will fit and the next week they have outgrown it. I know my son didn't get a chance to wear some things because he outgrew them before he got a chance to wear them due to to him growing so fast.

    Girl.. I bought newborn clothes. I didn't buy a ton bc I knew for the first month after giving birth we weren't going to leave the house so it worked for me. For the most part, we had newborn onesies and sleepers. It all depends on you. If you guys are going to be active and be out and about, then you'll definitely need to get him some newborn clothes. To be honest, my son was his newborn clothes until he was about a month old. For newborn diapers, we bought a huge box of newborn diapers that last a month and then we transitioned to size ones. As a first time mom, it's nice to listen and get advice from experienced mom's but don't rob yourself of your own experience. You have to go through it and figure out what works for you and what you need and don't need. Everyone has different opinions and different experiences. Trust your motherly instincts. ☺️ Congrats again! Enjoy these moments bc in a blink of an eye, he'll be 14 yrs old and giving you the "side" hug! 😂

    God is so awesome! You and Colton look great, Nitraa! I think a lot of your smooth transitioning is due to God, you and Colton's love and your excellent organizational skills. You were ready/prepared and most people aren't that organized. I think it makes a big difference. You all did what needed to be done and let God do the rest. Babies can feel tension or anxiety and your preparation kept that to a minimum. Also, shout out for prayer.🙏🏾 He's going to be tall like his daddy.

    I honestly think people who make the adjustment to motherhood out to be this crazy horrible dramatic thing are a certain type of people. Overly dramatic people, very young people or people not in the most healthy of relationships. I had a good partner, a good family support system and a decent job when i became a mother for the 1st time. My daughter was definitely an opps baby but the adjustment really wasn't super crazy because the rest of my life was fairly in order. Of course everyones situation and feelings are different but i think this is a general reason some people give such bad advice on the changr to motherhood.

      @tnicole8416 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      DINADIVA82 I agree with you 100% ❗️❗️ So that's why I say be careful who you receive advice from because if their life is toxic so would their advice ❤️

    • @cantrockthis
      @cantrockthis 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      DINADIVA82 everyone's experience is different. My sister had an easy time just like Nitraa......until the 4th month when her breastfed zenlike baby became colicky. It was sheer hell. He would be content and smile all day, until 5:00 pm and he would screech and cry hard for 11 hrs nonstop. It was then that earth mom became sleep deprived, desperate, and out of her mind. This lasted for 3 months. Nothing worked to soothe him. So, everyone's new mom experience is different.

    • @herfashion309
      @herfashion309 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is so true. I had a colicky baby for the first 6 months and I thought I would lose my mind. Nothing soothed her. She only stopped when she nursed and slept very little. It makes you feel so guilty as a new mom. My second baby was the complete opposite. He was never fussy at all. I am not dramatic but when your baby cries so hard they lose their voice and as a parent you can't help them, it is a very stressful anxiety creating experience.

    • @Jaminecooper
      @Jaminecooper 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Everyone is diff. Some babies are colicky and unless you have had one that is you wouldn't know how DRAMATIC it is. Sometimes ppl are having a second child and that can be hard as well. Some mothers have to leave the home at two months and leave their children in the care of others...Not everyone's experience is the same.

    • @Velvet_Whisper
      @Velvet_Whisper 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      L L i understand everyones experience is different i acknowledged that. My comment is my general opinion. Of course if you have a colic baby your experience will be more stressfull. But i had the same experience as Nitra were it was made out to be hell and it just wasn't. When your having a child ( if possible) some serious thought should be put into because you are able to handle the issue that come up much easier , even if u don't have strong family support you should have strong partner support. I saw someone say " you shouldn't judge" and im not judging anyones situation but people really need to be honest with themselves and get real a child is a commitment, a responsibility and a privilege and not something that should be entered into lightly or with no thought or with someone you don't really know. Not having your life somewhat in order will cause to have a more stressful 1st mother experience, not having good communication with your partner will cause stress, if you all never talked about kids or family will definitely cause and at lease in my experience the people giving me scary advice had self created issues that caused them stress.

    I'm so glad you touched on the topic of having a more positive attitude when becoming a new mom. My husband and I are expecting our baby girl around the 25th of this month and so many people have brought up the whole #teamnosleep thing and not being able to do ANYTHING fun or romantic with your spouse, blah, blah, blah. It made me feel anxious and a bit depressed, because like you said, every child is different as well as each individuals situation, so this made me feel a whole lot better about a lot of things concerning my pregnancy and motherhood. 💖 Looking forward to many more videos, especially on your post pregnancy body deal. 🙌🏽✨

    Nitrate, it's good you posted how positive your pregnancy was because mine was too. When you're pregnant people tell you a whole lot of stuff to make you anxious or scared but I stayed positive and happy which is key which is exactly what you did. My son was a very good baby and it seems like Uriah is too. He only fussed when he was hungry & needed to be changed. He was a very chilled & happy baby. We read to him as well. You have a loving relationship with your husband & y'all do things together so this will be a very happy time for you. Congratulations again and he is soooo cute. He don't look like he's 2 weeks old though, he looks about a month old LOL!! and right now he looks just like his daddy. 😊 Keep God first in your family and you & Colton continue to stay on one accord with each other and you will stay blessed

    • @NitraabTV
      @NitraabTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +66

      Rita McNabb because I don't want a dog that big inside. Also, Piglet is a pug. Pugs are prone to breathing issues. Outside temperatures in AL during the summer can exceed 90 °F and 39 °F during winter. These are deadly temperatures for Pugs. They cannot endure heat and high humidity well.

    • @leisakimone
      @leisakimone 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the baby, they say to wait because of nipple confusion but every baby is different. We gave our daughter one right away and I'm still breastfeeding! Exclusively! She'll be 11 months on the 14th

    • @mdp05e
      @mdp05e 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I agree it depends on the baby. I've had 3 babies... #3 is 5 months and they all had pacifiers before a month old and all were breastfed exclusively. ultimately though I think that your mommy instincts will kick in and allow for you to do what's best for your particular child. Congrats!!

    I had my baby 3 days before you and I agree with everything you said. The experience is different for everyone. Because I lived by a schedule before I had the baby we keep to it and try to keep the baby up between 4-8pm so that if she sleeps for 4 hours we are able to get up tend to her and then be able to get another 3-4hrs of sleep ourselves. My mom told me to buy newborn clothes but just buy basic ones. So I got tons of white, grey and blue long sleeve onesie that came in packs of 3. Your positive attitude warms my soul so much. ❤️

    Hey Nitra it's so good to see/hear that yall are doing good with your baby. Girl that is something I learned too when I had my firstborn was that everything that everyone else would say was not always true! And you are so right that every baby and parents is different so every situation and family won't be the same. So I would just hear people talk but I wouldn't necessarily believe or do everything everyone said. You can buy as many baby things as you want cuz if you plan to have another child in the future, you can always pass it down. Yes its true that newborns grow fast but you dont just want to own 3 pairs of baby clothes either and remember you can always return unused merchandise so no worries girl you do what your heart, mind, and gut tell you just like you said! Plus this is how we all learn is from our first times! God bless your family and look forward to more videos! tfs and girl you look damn good for just having a baby! you know it took me almost a year to lose baby weight! But you see, everyone is different! you go girl!

    Hey Nitra, you are right about new parents needing to have a positive attitude going into parenthood, however please take it from me, a mother of a one year old to advise your viewers to go into parenthood with lining up help, in case the new baby is not resting so well. Getting help from your spouse, siblings, neighbors, friends, parents is needed and getting out in fresh air helps with new parents staying positive. Baby blues and postpartum depression is very real.

    I don't think people were being "negative" or intentionally giving bad advice like you said it's based on experience. You were the exception to the rules on a lot of things and that's just a blessing. The average person will gain more than 15 pounds while pregnant. The average persons baby is up all night or most of it. The average baby does out grow newborn things very quickly and doesn't need a ton of it. The average mother is fatigued at the end of there pregnancy and not full of energy.
