I hope this shows there is finally peace among Tarja and Nightwish, as well as among Nightwish fans that have been torn with their loyalties and fighting over singers for the last several years. I too hope that Floor pushes them over the top into becoming one of the biggest bands in the world, which they deserve to be. Let's not forget that Anette also contributed to a great Nightwish album in Dark Passion Play as well as Storytime, and stood tall in a very difficult few years trying to make her own mark in the shadow of a singer like Tarja. I got to see NIghtwish several times with Anette, and she always put on a great show.
As someone living in America where we have maybe one or two bands of the Nightwish/Epica caliber, I am so tired of the endless who's better/hotter/etc. that gets bandied about female vocalists in metal. I love Tarja because she was my gateway drug into this style of metal. Through Tarja I discovered such amazing bands/vocalists like Floor, Sharon, Simone, Amanda, Christina, Charlotte, Vibke, Manuella and many others. The fact that there's professional respect between these women is awesome, considering how the industry (at least here in the States) likes to create fake controversies in order to sell more records. It's just cool to watch these two amazing women bring it full force. I so wish I'd been there!
this is just beautiful, no egos, no drama, two wonderful singers together just for the sake of music, Floor i just love the way she sings and Tarja, i've never really cared much of her, but here she demonstrated that she deserves every bit of respect anyone can have. As for the person who took the time to record this, thank you, i know how annoying recording a concert sometimes can be, much love for you for letting us see this and hopefully people will stop comparing them and just enjoy music!
People keep complaining that you can hear Tarjas accent when she sings? I love it! It maker her voice unique, and I think it works well with her singing style. Also, Floor and Tarja are just as amazing as each other! No need to compare them

Let's not forget that Tarja and Floor have been friends for some years now and that Tarja suggested Floor as her replacement but stubborn Tuomas chose Anette.

Please people, keep in mind some things. Tarja is lyric soprano, Floor is dramatic one. Tarja has admitted she only sings with classical voice, while Floor can sing in both styles. I believe Floor is the best option for Nightwish because she can replace both previous singers in terms of singing technique. Yet, I believe we love both Tarja and Floor, and like I said, they are DIFFERENT even in classical terms...
Yeah they are different, that's a good way to put it. Just to point out a detail, Tarja does mix in contemporary singing techniques here and there, perhaps it's more clearer in her solo work though.
@@earthbound8070 Tarja has been trying to limit her vibrato and adapt a more "pop" way of singing ever since century child and so on. On lower notes, yes she can sing with speaking voice, indeed. But for the most part she mainly uses classical voice, just lessens her vibrato. Cant remember which interview it was, but Tarja herself had admitted her speaking voice was too weak to sing that way. Still, singers change and evolve by practicing different techniques. It was an old interview so things may have changed. And i still remember that when tarja made less operatic vocals, many others followed her example and did the same.
Oh my God! I have always supported just Tarja, but first time I admit that I was ashamed because of all the fighting and this is just beautiful to see. Floor my deep respect. Tarja you were and remained my number one. But now both of you are even more better. No hard feelings at all. Just two amazing woman and singers.

Anette has a good voice yes, but for pop music, and that was also the reason why I didn't felt her voice fitting to Nightwish. I have tried, do know that, but I couldn't get into her music in Nightwish sadly.
This means so much, being a Nigthwish fan, Over the Hills and Far Away was the first song i heard by Nightwish and for Tarja to sing with Floor after everything the band has been through is just a dream come true, both a great with the band or not

I am so tired of reading the comments about this singer or that singer is better. Floor, Tarja, and Annette are all different singers. Their ranges and their styles will be different, but none of them are better or worse. Annete could not hit as high as Tarja, and Floor has a similar, though not entirely same, range. Floor has a more primal energy on stage, while Tarja always came across as regal. Ultimately, though, none of them are BETTER than the others. They are just different. Funny thing..I never see discussion about Van Halen get as bitter and angry as discussions about Nightwish..I wonder why that is? I mean, they changed lead singers multiple times, too..
Alex is right. If you HAD to pick which is best, without a doubt, Tarja's voice is the most skilled in what she is able to do. Annette has a different style of singing than Tarja though. If we are talking about flexibility in singing capabilities though, Annete is the worst out of the three, but seriously, why not appreciate them equally for their musical contributions?

Call it wishful thinking but I can't help fantasize that Floor will be the bridge between Nightwish and Tarja, and that one day they might heal old wounds and do a song all together for old times sake. Sighing wistfully.
It would be great to have a Tarja - Floor duet. Of course now that they have Floor they really wouldn't need Tarja as Floor can not only do rock and contemporary she can also sing operatic as well when need be. Floor could practically do a duet with herself, lol. But teaming Tarja up would definitely appease some of the older fans who grew up with her. Maybe Tarja could open for Nightwish and do guest vocals on a couple of Nightwish songs. Imagine GLS where Tarja sings the first half and Floor sings the second half.

These are about their in-ear devices. The singers have no idea what volume reaches the audience. Two different things. When an interviewer asked floor why her microphone was not loud in this duet she said she had no clue and that she was surprised to hear it from the interviewer.

Personally, I don't get the "this one better than that one cause yada, yada." I'm a fan of them all, Nightwish, Tarja, Floor and Anette. Each singer has their own style and each has their own strengths and weaknesses. I don't get why some people think you cant like them all, I say leave the backstage drama to them to deal with behind the scene and just enjoy the music. To quote the food lion commercial now, "That's just my two cents."

It would be great to have a Tarja - Floor duet. Of course now that they have Floor they really wouldn't need Tarja as Floor can not only do rock and contemporary she can also sing operatic as well when need be. Floor could practically do a duet with herself, lol.
But teaming Tarja up would definitely appease some of the older fans who grew up with her. Maybe Tarja could open for Nightwish and do guest vocals on a couple of Nightwish songs. Imagine GLS where Tarja sings the first half and Floor sings the second half.
Now this is a nice thing to see and hear: two beautiful women with agelic voices singing an awesome song. Epic! ♥
This is really cool seeing the two of them, especially since Floor was already singing for Nightwish. No bad blood here.
Personally I prefer Floor but I can see how a lot of people, especially old school NW fans, like Tarja too.
From what I understand they were always on good terms. She would be a very petty person if she suddenly had a beef with floor just for being in Nightwish, Especially if here issues were with the original band members not floor.

I'm in heaven, and so is Tarja (extremly happy with her musical career, having a caring husband and daughter) and Floor (becoming a Nightwish member and singing with her big idol Tarja in the same year) :) i don't get how "her voice is better than her.." still get so much likes.

Personally, I don't get the "this one better than that one cause yada, yada." I'm a fan of them all, Nightwish, Tarja, Floor and Anette. Each singer has their own style and each has their own strengths and weaknesses. I don't get why some people think you cant like them all, I say leave the backstage drama to them to deal with behind the scene and just enjoy the music. To quote the food lion commercial now, "That's just my two cents."

***** aww, Tarja is just a little more than 1m6 isn't she? yeah she is small, and even seem smaller next to Floor. Floor isn't just tall, she is BIG too. Her stage presence make me want to call her a warrior :D anddd Tarja is maybe an elf, a short one but her outfit make her look taller :D
