This game might technically take a very long time for the devs to truly "finish" it. Even once the base game is completed; the expansions could keep rolling in years after.

I use this for prepping D&D sessions. I have it on while I’m setting up, organizing all my stuff, when the party shows up and settles in, and through our recap of the story so far. No matter how I ended the previous session - whether we wrapped up on a calm note, or on the precipice of absolute chaos - this always gets everybody in the mood and serves as the perfect opening backdrop.

They need to release this shit sometime soon, this song is so good.
Since it just launched in EA. Don't expect that to happend until atleast 1 - 2 year. The full game is also gonna be 150 According to Steam. And EA currently is about 70 gb. That means they have 70 more gigs left to finish. And that will most likely take roughly 1 - 2 years to do as well. So by either end of 2021 or at start of 2022 i expect the game to be fully ready for release and out of EA.
@@IzzyGames874 I think roughly one year since they've been already working on it for quite some time. They couldn't just been working on the first act all the time, right? That's what I think though and hope for.
@@IzzyGames874 The EA has more than just Act 1, it has many reusable assets that take up a lot of space the full game will be nowhere near double the amount of space.
@@cyneawyngaelhove2483 Oh wait really? then i assume the Mountain Pass Zones that is not accessible yet in EA is probably the second part?
@@IzzyGames874 Probably, but what I meant was the textures, models, skills and such in the EA would be used in later acts so the space of the EA will not be doubled as there is a lot that would be reused or just used in general in the other acts.

So, having been a huge fan of BG 2, I dumped nearly 400 hours into that game. The character creation music of BG 2 is memorable and invokes thought and imagination for me. I think this does the same, when you can sit and think on a character imagining them to life in this world we're about to explore. This game is shaping up to be one of the greats and worthy of it's place in the line of legendary Baldur's gate games. There's already a bunch of little easter eggs in reference to the Spawn of Bhaal adventure from random accounts in books scattered in the game.

1h Baldurs gate 1 or 2 for ROLL, and ROLL , and roll.... and when you reach 93 score you accidentaly ROLL again and close game.
Played bg1 for the first time a few months ago and spent the first 30 mins trying to get that god roll for the stats. At least here I don't have to worry about that anymore

Then I heard 1:23 and I started to realize how amazing this game could be.
Another musical masterpiece by Larian and I thought they couldn't get any better after Original Sin 2. I was wrong. God bless them.

When I was creating my character I sat and thought wow this music then you start playing and and wow this game.
Listening to this after a breakup. My ex and i put 400hrs into this game together. It's my favorite game in the world but I'm too heartbroken to play right now. Listening to this is my first step. Such a beautiful soundtrack..... such painful memories 💔 darkness guide me 🖤

Love this and the game. I think they did it, in all of its glory or something. Starting from character creation, you .. yes can actually stay at that and enjoy the game fully :) But there's more to come but no hurry. Cheers...
I was worried that Baldur's Gate 3 would have the light-heartedness of the DOS games, which really doesn't fit with a Baldur's Gate game...but this has really blown away all my worries - the music, the graphics and the general feel all point to an epic fantasy-type vibe. Really keen for the full release!
Nothing you said there makes sense. You were worried that this sequel would have the same light-hearted tone as the original games because the light-hearted tone of the original games doesn't fit with the original games? What? Also, neither BG1 or BG2 were DOS games.

I played through the Alpha and made it to the gates. I'm holding off until full release! Super pumped for this game!!
Imagine if DA: Origin's. Leliana's Song, had more similar songs in that game to Leliana's Song and performances of characters singing fantasticly memoreable god like songs with their vocals. This is exactly a result right here of how that would have looked, that could have being. This vocalist and the Music from this game. Is unlike any Fantasy Music i have ever heard in many years, probably since Skyrim.

Already love it this game! I already have over 20 hours and I just got it, making new characters and just messing around exploring. Can’t wait for the full release. I also hope it will support mods, like neverwinter and all the other games.
This is such a typical piece of Larian music, only it's somehow better.

I actually didn’t need to spend hours in character creation this time. I had a game plan, Tiefling Druid, and from there, it came together pretty simply (although she had huge dex for some reason, at the cost of a minus in intelligence. Took points off of that and balanced that out lol)
When ever I remake characters i just deplete int every time because we can always go and get the head band from the ogres

Can't say for certain, but I know from observation a lot of the music has been getting tweaked between the patches.
@@McAllik The char creation music is definitely neutered in the latest. I searched for this music back in 2020/2019 on youtube, and they all sound different! lol, whyyyyy.

Have not played this since last November. Except for bug fixes and performance fixes and a new class,
there has been no new content added. And it's now looking like a 2023 release so remember that before
you start EA. Looking good though but i wish they would add some new content....... 😁
Oh but they have, they're constantly sneaking in new things without telling people.
I mean they're also not going past Act 1 until release. This is basically Fort Joy like DoS 2, purgatory until release to sandbox features
They did mention day 1 that we would only be in Act 1, but in general that never meant act 1 was "done" right out of the gate. There's constantly new stuff being added, just gata look.

I wish I knew when the game was coming out so I'd know when is the optimal time to upgrade my potato into a computer.
We still have around 1-2 years, you have time to save up if thats what you're worried about

@@khatack Amazingly it hasn't gone back to normal. Which is sad because I only discovered how much more optimized high end Nvidia is for recording/streaming vs. AMD
If you're not planning on recording though, AMD would be a good place for you to look. When not recording I can have everything maxed out and it still runs smoothly.
@@McAllik I was kinda hoping I'd never have to buy another AMD, I'll compare the price range but AMD has to be a lot faster before I consider going for it over Intel+Nvidia setup. I have rather unpleasant memories with AMD, especially their catalyst drivers.
@@khatack Things are def better now for AMD than they used to be, I personally use a RX5700XT and a Ryzen9 and have honestly had 0 problems in general. There's no sweat in waiting though, I personally just gave up on ever getting a 3090

Not my cup of tea. I much prefer Michael Hoenig's and Inon Zur's more traditional work for the original games (the real stuff and not this cheap knockoff) and of course Jeremy Soule's in the first Icewind Dale.

For sure. While the Baldur's Gate 3 music is great, the best videogame soundtrack of all time is still Jeremy Soule's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
If only they put as much effort into the game as they did the soundtrack, they'd have a good game. But they didn't, so they don't.
Slow down a moment and remember that this is still in early access and a ton of work is still in the future, we won't have full release for another 1-2 years.
