I always really enjoy your video's Skip. Probably my favourite radio-related channel - your engineering talents are amazing! Well done working Charlie and good luck with Africa, look forward to seeing the video! I am QRV on 13cm but only for the QO-100 satellite with about 15W into a helical and a 1m fixed dish. Thanks for sharing, 73 de M0SNR
Well thanks for the great comments.. I do enjoy making these crazy videos, almost as much fun as building the equipment to use on them. I wish we had a view here to work that satellite, its just to far over there for us here in Canada.. That would give me more incentive to get back into satellites I think.. Or at least another angle to build up more microwave gear ! Skip
Very cool! I came here after listening to the HRWB episode from last May. I’ve recently become interested in microwave. Your shack and antennas are very impressive!
Great, great contact Skip and a brill video. I admire your not taking things too seriously while taking things very seriously indeed attitude :) Good luck with Africa, 73 de M0MZF
Hello and thanks for the comments.. I would say that 23CM is becoming the most common band, 1296 Mhz.. Not so much interference like the lower frequencies and yet easy to get set up on.. But thats my opinion, depends on what you are trying to do.. Skip
Hi Skip Got one QSO on 13cm with Jac PA3DZL Cell phone signals are inband here A real Monster Massive QRM Still more testing to do Take Care 73 John ZS6JON
Hello again John.. I am lucky around here for interference. The real only bad stuff is the Sirius satellite radio signals in the east and that really is only on 2320.. I do see Wifi occasionally though.. But still I am lucky compared to others.. Thanks, Skip
