This was a solid laptop. I am still using this everyday, 7 years after I bought it. Give this comment a Like if you are still using this laptop in 2019 !!

I've had mine for about half a year now and I love it! The fingerprint unlock is a pretty cool feature.
I bought this tremendous or rather wud say one of D most trusted laptop that hp had made .its been 3yrs but there is not at all any problems in the hardware and software. It works well with Windows 10 too.
How did you get windows 10 on a windows 8 laptop

This laptop is perfect, Full HD anti glare screen, professional sound and LOTs of power for gaming all in a fairly slim midnight black aluminium finish. I if just i had the money for it..

There's already a new version. The DV6T 7200, they renew the line in October/November, and May/June.
It's 2020 and am still using this laptop and honestly? It's still working as it's a new unit.
Is it using windows 8 ?

yeah i think so too! i used it for intense rendering, it just gets a little warm, but that is normal
I have this laptop and it's pretty good
like 4 hours with constant use of medium softwares. It is very good overall

Nice voice lol. Anyway, I have upgraded my 2012 Hp Pavilion Dv6 model for the the HP Pavilion 2018 model last year, and its definitely worth the upgrade due to the significant boost in performance!!
hello! thanks XD, and yes, as a student i know what you mean by those. A lot of my friends are getting the mac since it is not as buggy. But for the price, this laptop is great if you put the right specs in it. For your case, it is most important to have a "solid state drive" look into it. Itll load everything much much faster. And as for the processor it is much better than the 2010 ones. I had a 2010 dv7 and i know exactly what you mean. Good luck!

I love it! havnt had the fan spinning 293048230948 mph like my old laptop, and cold air actualy comes out sometimes. Other than that its super fast

oh wow, i just checked and they changed it recently. My laptop is the hp dv6t 7000 quad edition. On the site it is now called the dv6t 7200 quad edition. They removed the ssd option. They seem to have changed the names like you said.
Hi, I'm looking forward to buy a 7200 and, since I would upgrade it with the 650M GDDR5 and the 2.8ghz i7 for gaming, Would it worth the upgrade of the screen to the 1080p one considering the color quality, the performance side and the price of it?
And, since I owned an nc6400 and had to replace my motherboard once, the keyboard twice, the Card Reader twice and the screen 7 times during my 3 year warranty (seriously), is it a reliable computer and did you had any issue with it?
The SD card is just another storage device. You will more likely find them in cameras so on. There are also Micro SD cards which fit phones.

im a person who still uses this laptop in 2022...
Bad memories for me. I had one for less than 3.5 years. One year of that it was dying with excessive fan noise and a combination of blue and black screens. Never again HP!!

A good review but a little rushed at the start. ignore those fools that make negative comments in relation to your voice.
full on use gave me 45c. There is no noise, unless you are in a quiet room it is a little hum, but not noticeable
I got the old model (spring 2011), i was waiting for the late 2012 renewal, i guess its already avaliable on the hp shop. But there's no more "Pavilion", now it's called "HP Envy DV6 7200".

First thing is i would recommend getting a ssd drive with it. As for multimedia and not so hard core gaming id stick with the 650m 1gb, 2gb is not rly needed. this is the i7 2.6 GHz, id get the 2.3. and ram id go for 6-8 gb. So if you maybe go to their cheap dv6 and see if you can customize it to those and see which variation has best proce
hello, i had an old version of HP and it was horrible. This i can see is much better. I would highly recommend to upgrade to the 1920 1080 antiglare. Without looking at the power of the computer, it makes me happy that i got it. I was questioning it too at first

I also have a pavilion dv6 and brother formatting and delete the fingerprint program (lock / unlock) as it is called to search for the driver again?

wow great review! i really want a mac but i'm still umming and ahhing about finding a really fast computer for me as a student who needs a fast laptop for bringing up lots of emails, docs, web pages and i'm on my hp pavillion dv6 2010 now and its super laggy :( :( this looks like a sweet alternative and the fingerprint scanner is the ultimate deal sealer! :)

Yeah, and there's no more HP ENVY 15. I'm wondering about the new "in depth" specs, since the price its higher on the dv6t 7200 (and no noticiable difference with yours), $999.99 without the full hd screen its kinda "expensive".
I have the 630m model. But my laptop can't read the nvidia geforce graphics card. I can't install any drivers whatsoever. My laptop only reads an intel hd 4000 graphics card. My laptop is extremely slow, weak and heats up fast. Should I revert back to windows 7? Maybe windows 10 is causing driver problems?

windows 10 has already changed the partition table of hard drive completely and now, i can't install win 7 on it anymore since it shows no drivers error in the installation :(

lol i wanted to be a troll! its not fair only the viewers get to troll =[ but anyways, SD card is a secure digital card, its that chip that most cameras have. You can put that right into your laptop without an adapter. Its like a flash drive.
