Couldn't you just get the valve ground down or the seats re ground and that would fix it from hitting the piston. I'm now afraid this is what mine is. I had the block decked and heads decked but the machinist was sure he knew what he was doing. I also have the stage 1 cam from R&D wondering if that makes any difference
The problem has been solved. I was wrong in thinking it was an issue caused by the deck. The cam was out of time. It was the one thing I didn't check when I bought the block with the cam already in it. It was off a tooth or 2. I talked to R&D, he said the stage 1 cam won't cause a clearance issue even when decked.
I just learn from your mistake!!! I’m rebuilding my 7.3 out of my 88 ford rolle bed and I don’t want this to happen! Happy thanksgiving!!!
Just found your channel really good watch and useful as I have a f250 idi over here in England.
The oil in your intake is from the cdr. Thats why you run a road draft tube
PCV has already been rerouted to road draft. It's the turbo leaking. There's oil in my boost gauge line too.
Keep making videos Chooch. You make me laugh 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

Don't think you can get (thicker) gaskets for these
You can. Just on RockAuto there are 3 different thicknesses you can get. Along with low compression pistons if you want.
Was that the same motor you did a hone/rering on?
Yes unfortunately.
@@Choochinc hey at least she ripped for a bit 🤙🏼 hope you get it fixed up.
