I’m the same way, love my new home gym build during the pandemic. I went through almost every single adjustable dumbbell on the market from US to China. My final set up for dumbbells for my small room is a Powerblock Personal Trainer Set that goes for 5-50lbs in 2.5 increments all solid metal (do not get the pro as it is less durable made of plastic). I also got the Ironmaster Dumbbells that go up to 100+lbs although I rarely go above 80lbs. But anything about 50lbs I’ll use the Ironmasters and they feel so solid. It takes time to adjust plates but I am ok with that as it is easier to place on the stand vs the nested weights of the heavier powerblocks or nuobells. My home gym is a part storage room and my dog room so it’s a little cramped but I make it work and I absolutely love it. One of the best purchases in my life was building this home gym. Great video, and keep it up

I have both the Ironmasters up to 135 for my heavy compound movements (which I absolutely love) and the Powerblock Pros for supersets, dropsets and stuff like that. I wish I went with the Elites instead. While the Pros are tight and don't rattle as much, I dislike the locking mechanism on the side. It catches onto everything! And the handles feel weird. Are there any exercises that can't be done properly with Power Blocks?
Does the Power Blocks limit the range of motion compared to fixed dumbbells?
Would you know where to buy rubber hex dumbbells with the fully knurled handles in Canada?

    • @NoFate247

Range of motion is slighting limited at heavier weights. Can't do goblet squats with the power blocks but that's about it. Rep Fitness ships to Canada now so def. check them out (their dumbbells dont smell, at least when I got them they didn't) www.repfitness.com/#5f3b28f9517b0

I own the PB Elite model to 90lbs. They're really good but not great. Range of motion is not really limited. But exercises that require two hand grips are not possible. I can't do Triceps extensions, Pullovers, and Goblet squats. Worse I bought the kettle gryp handle to do KB Swing but it won't fit the powerblocks. But I still like them and recommend them.

If you haven’t gotten them yet Amazon is selling them for around $340 right now (in the states) for the pair. Just got mine today, and they seem great so far. Came in one half destroyed box for some reason so I nearly broke my back getting them in the house, and there is some minor damages and chips, but they seem to work completely fine, and I’m going to baby them from here on out so they last forever. Plus, as of right now basically all of the other popular adjustable dumbbells are at least $400 everywhere for a new pair, and these are better than pretty much all of them.
