My pool coach always recommended 2 beers before a league match. He said it would ease nerves and help with a more confident shot. Three is pushing your luck. If you do drink more you have to force yourself to slow down or you will become impulsive and take bad shots without looking over the table for better options. Like you said, helps your stroke but hurts your judgement and timing.

I would get to the 8 ball every match and call time-out so the 6 on our team could help me....I'de be like "I'm thinking 3 rail kick shot combo cut shot in the side?" He just laughed and was like "WTF.....bro, just cut it up the long rail in the corner LOL" I was like ok I can do that....I ended up taking it 4-0, but I'm a 5 and the other guy was a 3, and he gave me a damn good fight...So in conclusion, no drinking doesn't make you better, but it makes you feel better:)

We actually do have a guy in our league, the drunker he gets the better he plays. He can be stumbling when he walks but when he gets down on a shot, he is straight as an arrow. Lol

You played a game where you had to cut a ball on the long rail and the ball potted BUT! the Cueball went across the center of the table and… Mr side pocket swallowed it. I’m an APA 4 and have drilled this scenarios for hours and was humbled to see a 7 wrestle with same beast. What’s even more frustrating is when your opponent takes same shot and survives the side pocket and wins the game. I’ve tried left English… oops Right English…oops The Queens English…oops So I’d love for you to do a single vid on the side pocket scratch. Perhaps just humor the audience because IT just happens and IT is what IT is!

Drinking definitely makes league night more fun, I’ve just been advised to try not to talk to your league operator when you’re past your “sweet spot” cause you might say something that makes them get a little snippy with you 😂😅😂
lol...i just got back from the pool hall and we were all making fun of one lady who was drunk....SHE WON THE TOURNAMENT!!!. It was hilarious. She had to beat 6 dif players 2 outta 3 times and just kept advancing. Then I come home and see this video. Talk about perfect timing. LMAO.
I don't know about most people but when I was younger I would go into a bar and drink an entire six pack before league started and then have about 3 or 4 more throughout the night and it seemed the more I drank the better I got but I always had to remember to hit the ball in the middle NOT one of the other two

For sure.. there's a point where you get out of your own head, and become a better shot maker.. the downside is that you don't think enough about the actual runout/ game... at lower skill levels, i can see a buzz as a useful tool. At any high level play, it becomes a disadvantage
