Just for context sikkim is one of the highest per capita income state in India. So everyone is well to do if not rich. Most have more then one source of income.
Fair enough, but the rich are relative compared to some places people are rich. Compared to others, perhaps not. Still much higher living standards than other parts of Asia I have visited and lived.
