As you ask… the Islamic laws do not apply to all, in this case this daughter’s mother was Greek. A Muslim man can marry outside of his religion/culture and if the mother does not convert, then her children are allowed to take on the mother’s traditions/religion etc. Ask me how I know first hand.
That said, I do not agree with how the Sheik of Dubai treats his other children especially the girls. The fact there were 2 who were brave enough to attempt to escape knowing what their fate would be if caught, tells you a lot about the Sheik of Dubai!
It is very sad to see. When your children are willing to risk death to leave you, then you know your not a parent, your are evil.

This is a khaleegy princess where female relatives are hidden from the public eye and life, it’s completely different to the other arab countries where the society is more relaxed
