Of course you need to acknowledge Willis O'Brien, the creator of the original King Kong and the mentor to Harryhausen during the filming of Mighty Joe Young

You need to show the clip of the introduction of the strong men that precedes this tug of war--PLEASE ADD IT IF YOU CAN.
The introduction of the strong men is an excrellent piece.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movies. A few years ago, it was available on TH-cam but, alas, it has been removed. My guess is that the whoever owns the rights wants you to buy it

Carnera didn't fare any better against Joe than he did with Max Baer.

    • @gerrynightingale9045
      @gerrynightingale9045 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That was a complete 'set-up' in terms of a fight...Primo
was much stronger than Baer and a single hit from him
could knock any man out! (if he were still for too long!)
Primo's size was his 'weakness' in the ring...he couldn't match the speed of a smaller man's punch because of
      the length of his arms!
(the best 'Heavyweights' are no more than 6 '2 and 220
lbs....any larger and and 'speed' is lost)
In a 'points' match in boxing...every 'tag' counts that strikes the body or head...even "Andre the Giant" would
lose every bout under those rules, despite the fact that
no living man could possibly 'knock him out' because they could never hit his jaw...too far *UP*

@saintquinn007 *'MMA' isn't 'Boxing', at least not as it used to be defined*
*I gave-up watching 'shit-shows' like Tyson being touted as a 'Boxer' when in fact all he did was 'street-brawling' using every 'banned' tactic there is and get away with it because the money involved is so huge it's mind-boggling*
*FIGHT UNTIL ONE OF YOU IS DEAD! is not 'Boxing'*

*I made a 'Comment' a long time ago, you decide 'you just have to inform me' of some observations of your own*
*I say 'MMA' is NOT 'Boxing' at all, and that to me 'Boxing as a Sport' died-out when Tyson was allowed to 'cannibalize' his opponent(s) in the ring*
*You don't 'Like' what I think?*
      *TOUGH SHIT!*
*You don't even realize you haven't written a FUCKING WORD regarding 'Boxing' other than you think 'MMA' is 'the same thing' and it isn't the 'same thing' at all or it would be called 'BOXING'*
*You could've just written-out some 'comment' of your own, but instead you
chose to write to me PERSONALLY because you 'feel you have to'*
*THAT MAKES YOU A FUCKING 'TROLL' you 'no-name ass-wad!'*
