Impressive! I tried but couldn't get eight on. My son was really excited but less than a min after looking at the cake, he says, there aren't the right number of squares. I did a game in play to somewhat hide that fact (and because despite multiple rounds, I could not get a full set of pieces. 😂 Anyhow he was pleased and the other parents were impressed. ❤

I made this cake I'm the recommended pan size and could not fit 8 squares across. It could fix max 7 squares across.
I adjusted the 1st and the last piece to fit 8 squares. Also I had added a thick layer of ganache so that gave me some excess 'space'.
