I don't no what you ended up using but I had to comment before I forgot! LOL! Dry wall repair mesh, metal and fiberglass, is your freaking friend for gap filling style project. Theirs so many different types and size which is actually a good thing. I've actually started a Rubbermaid sliding chest of drawer 3 drawer unit just for this stuff. I find something new.....I buy it. Also, I've found the best filler to use with it. Of course I'll leave links, but its called 3M Bondo Metal Reinforced Metal filler. It's basically super bondo with metal powder in it.....not strands. There is a version that has fiberglass powder in it instead of metal. I've used it on plastic repairs and similar. Either can be drilled and tapped for screws! I had a dash panel in my Ranger that had 3 holes for cigarette lighters and a square fog light switch. From behind the panel, I used fiberglass dry wall seam tape that is sticky on one side. The mesh openings are about 1.5mm so tiny. I made the 2 part mix, pushing is through the mesh and man, worked great! They make a metal mesh with larger openings that you could put behind your gaps and this fill it with the Bondo Metal Filler. Just trying to help....I'm not a know it all....but more like a share it all....lol! I appreciate all the info! If it wasn’t for sharing I never would have bought the “free form air” material that my cousin suggested. Using it you wouldn’t even need to use any mesh stuff…it’s wild. It’s in video 2 ;) I appreciate the view.
I have the wilwood kit on my crx and I also noticed that the car doesn't stop great. It's sad to know that you pay Good money to get "sports/racing brakes" only for them to under perform because of a small pad. That pad difference is massive
Why don't buy a nice 2 in steal flare 20 gage I have some in my CRX in the back look beautiful old school style nothing fancy to I put I start her up she sounds like a ford jjjjj

Maybe you can grab two more fenders cut out the center radius and use that to complete the flare out of steel

Too bad you couldn’t just push that fender out with a bottle Jack against the chassis. It’s looking fine so far I think.
